A charming small stone secluded house with a large Mediterranean garden, set on a traditional moorish agricultural terrace. Recently refurbished and internally modernised the house is perfect for a couple seeking a blissful escape. The garden is large and has many trees: Lemon, almond, palm, olive, quince and cherry, also there is a generous sized pebble & terracotta terrace around the house. The house which is light and airy with high ceilings looks towards the sea and church, it has a beautiful vista. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven/grill, ceramic hob, extractor fan & fridge. The bedroom has air-conditioning and there is powerful shower in the bathroom. The house is not suitable for children due to the nature of the moorish terraces, in which it is privately located.
Location and Area: This house is perfect for a couple who want to explore the picturesque pueblo of Deiá. Located just out of the village centre (a 5 minute walk to Forn Deia - the fabulous village bakery and deli) make it a peaceful place to stay and yet not at all far from the amazing restaurants of the village. Cala Deia is 20 minute walk down the valley, through lower village which is called El Clot. Puerto Sollér is a 15 minute drive, here you can find a large sandy beach and more lovely Spanish restaurants. Needless to say it is ideally located for those who wish to hike in the beautiful Sierra de Tramuntana mountains. Breathtaking views when you hike to either Valledemossa or Soller.
House Facilities: The kitchen and living area are open-plan, you will find bookshelves with maps, games, books and Ipod/Iphone music player, furniture-wise there is a sofa, footstool, armchair, butchers block, dinning chairs & table. The house does NOT have WIFI or TV. The kitchen is well equipped with smart white crockery, glassware, pans, bowls, quality knives & utensils etc and also a good selection of herbs and spices. The appliances were installed in 2008/9. A Nespresso machine can be arranged if required.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chairs, bed-side cabinets, lamps & mirrors. Bed linen & bath towels are provided. Beach towels are not provided. Also, there is an iron, ironing board & hairdryer.
The tiled bathroom has an electric towel radiator, sink, cupboard, mirror, wc & gas powered shower.
Outside terrace has a mosaic table with 4 chairs and 2 luxury sun-loungers, with further chairs in the garden.

What a wonderful house! My husband and I spent the first week of our honeymoon here and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the rental. The casita is completely charming: light and airy, clean and stylish, with comfortable space enough for two, a smart library that included regional cookbooks and tons of tips on what to do and see in Mallorca, and a very up-to-date kitchen stocked with staples and spices--we loved cooking there. The bedroom is so comfortable and has french doors overlooking the gorgeous hills of Deia, resulting in breathtaking views each morning. One of our favorite features of the house was the garden patio looking out to the sea. After days spent hiking, swimming, and exploring the breathtaking scenery of Mallorca, we would spend our evenings dining in world-class Deia restaurants followed by evenings on the patio, sipping cocktails surrounded by the twinkling lights in the hills. The house is extremely conveniently located, just a short scenic walk to the center of town, a market/bakery/wineshop, a bar with live music in the evenings, and those phenomenal restaurants. We enjoyed especially memorable meals at Es Racó d'es Teix and Sebastian's. The house is also a 30-minute walk through olive groves and vistas to Cala Deia, the stunning little town beach with cerulean water and a great fresh fish restaurant for lunch. I will also add that Deia, unlike some of the other nearby historic towns, has a policy that does not allow tour buses to stop. This means that this town lacks the T-shirt and trinket shops cluttering some of the other towns, and has more of a peaceful and genuine feel--which was perfect for us! Renting this house and staying in Deia was the most romantic way to begin our trip. We felt at home and were almost sad to leave and continue on to Barcelona for the rest of our vacation, and that should be proof enough of how fabulous this house and town really are. We can't wait to visit again! Tori and Ronnie New Haven, Connecticut, USAOwner response: Thank you!! Thrilled you had a wonderful trip.

Owner response: Vielen Danke Milena!

Can't say how much we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful little house is Deia. The house is beautifully kept and decor is simple and stylish. Better still, unlike the very minimal kitchens found in many old Spanish properties, it has a 'proper' fitted kitchen - with absolutely everything you could need. The property is tucked away, so is completely private - but close enough to be able to walk to the many bars and restaurants in Deia, without the need for a car - they are just a few minutes walk away. Many great restaurants - had a wonderful meal at Restaurante Sebastian (but make a reservation), complete with a complementary glass of the chef's finest Grappa to end the meal! There's also a fab little rustic bar on the main road through called Sa Fonda. Great for just sitting outside with a drink. There was a brilliant live band playing one evening and apparently they have quite a bit of live music there. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return at some point.Owner response: We love Restaurante Sebastian too, one of the best restaurants in the village. Chuffed to hear you appreciated our kitchen and all the kit, it was one thing that we thought was essential when equipping the house, there is nothing worse when you rent a holiday home when there is not enough china and glassware. Hope to see you again!

My husband and I visited this beautiful house in Deia in July last year. With stunning views down the hillside towards the sea, it was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The house with its stylish and spacious interior, was well equipped with everything you could need and was maintained to a high standard. The charming garden was very peaceful and had a lovely outdoor eating area where you could sit and admire the view. It was a treat to have lemon trees growing in the garden - perfect for that afternoon gin and tonic! Just a short stroll into the village, there was a great choice of fantastic bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend visiting La Residencia for and early evening cocktail. If you're lucky you might even spot someone famous! I would certainly recommend this house to anyone seeking blissful relaxation.Owner response: Delighted to hear that you and your husband enjoyed the break at the house. I'm pleased to say that this year's lemon crop is coming on a treat. Thank you, Hasta Pronto!

The property was an absolute delight! When we arrived the sun was shining and the walk down to the casita was magical. As we entered the gate the view was impressive and the sun loungers were very inviting. Inside the casita there was a spacious open plan kitchen and lounge that had been carefully planned out and beautifully maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed and was fun to cook in. We mainly ate outside which worked perfectly. The bedroom was spacious and contained double bed and good sized wardrobe. In the evenings we walked to the restaurants in deia, so no need to drive or get a taxi. The evenings were really magical and the choice of restaurants great. A trip to La Residencia for cocktails is a must! Would definately re-book!Owner response: Thanks for your lovely review. Looking forward to having you back to stay this summer.

To cut it short: The house is beautiful and everything was prepared nicely when we arrived. In particular we loved the terrace and the sun loungers! The small village Deia is very nice and quiet in the evening; there are a lot of good restaurants if you don’t want to cook (although the kitchen is very well equipped). We have to come back sooner or later!Owner response: Thank you Sabine. Deia hopes to see you soon.
