A charming small stone secluded house with a large Mediterranean garden, set on a traditional moorish agricultural terrace, in Deia. Recently refurbished and internally modernised, with WIFI, the house is perfect for a couple seeking a blissful escape. (Also has AC in the bedroom). The garden is large and has many trees: Lemon, orange, almond, olive, quince and a few bougainvilleas. There is a generous sized pebble & terracotta terrace around the house. The house which is light and airy with high ceilings looks towards the sea and church, it has a beautiful vista. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven/grill, ceramic hob, extractor fan & fridge. The bedroom has air-conditioning and there is powerful shower in the bathroom, the house also has underfloor heating. The house is not suitable for children due to the nature of the moorish terraces, in which it is privately located.
Location and Area: This house is perfect for a couple who want to explore the picturesque pueblo of Deiá. Located just out of the village centre (a 5 minute walk to Forn Deia - the fabulous village bakery and deli) make it a peaceful place to stay and yet not at all far from the amazing restaurants of the village. Cala Deia is 20 minute walk down the valley, through lower village which is called Es Clot. Puerto Sóller is a 15 minute drive, here you can find a large sandy beach and more lovely Spanish restaurants. Needless to say it is ideally located for those who wish to hike in the beautiful Sierra de Tramuntana mountains. Breathtaking views when you hike to either Valledemossa or Sóller.
House Facilities: The kitchen and living area are open-plan, you will find bookshelves with maps, games, books and Ipod/Iphone music player. It is furnished with a sofa, footstool, armchair, butchers block, dinning chairs & table. The kitchen is well equipped with smart white crockery, glassware, pans, Nespresso pod coffee machine, bowls, quality knives & utensils etc and also a pantry selection of oils, vinegars, herbs and spices.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chairs, bed-side cabinets, lamps & mirrors. Bed linen & bath towels are provided. There is an iron, ironing board & hairdryer.
The tiled bathroom has an electric towel radiator, sink, cupboard, mirror, wc & gas powered shower.
Outside terrace has a mosaic table with 4 chairs and 2 luxury sun-loungers, then there are further chairs and tables in the garden. WIFI coverage extends to the terrace too.
The property is for a couple, there is one king size bed in the bedroom. The location is not ideal for children due to the moorish terraced garden, however if you are a couple with 1 child it is possible for an extra charge to organize a single sofa chair bed. ...moreless

A fixed fee of £80 is in addition to the rental rates. This covers house preparation for your arrival, with linen & bath towels, cleaning & laundry after you have gone, plus electricity/water/gas usage. If you require additional cleaning / linen / maid services these can be arranged for an additional charge.
£100 additional returnable damage / security deposit is usually requested.
Usually by two instalments: First payment to secure the booking (approx 40%) and then the Balance payment a set number of weeks prior to arrival.
If a short notice booking is required then full payment is required immediately.

Deià is a small coastal village which is known for its literary and musical residents. Set in an idyllic landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana coastal mountains, with orange, lemon and olive groves on steep cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. Deiá served as a draw for German, English, and American expatriates after the War. It lies directly north of Palma, the village is easily accessed by the Valledemossa road, it is approximately 40 mins from the airport.
The village remains completely unspoilt, the beautiful warm hue of the stone houses with their pastel painted shutters makes it welcoming sight. The village is now a gastronomic hot-spot with over 6 fine dining style restaurants and many more fabulous casual dinning places. Everything is walkable, although you shouldn't be afraid of hills and the odd stone step. Being located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains it is also an ideal location for walkers and hikers in the cooler months. Cycling is also very popular as the main road is frequently used by cycle teams training for the Tour de France and other such races.
About the owner: Fell in love with Deia in 2002 on holiday to Soller. Just adore being outside and pottering in the garden or hiking the coastal and mountain trails around Deia, and of course swimming in sea. We were very lucky to find this little gem. Everyone who stays totally loves it. Special.
Why the Owner Chose Mallorca: It is unique as it is a whole house for a couple - providing space to move around, unlike an apartment or hotel with shared areas. It's location so handy for the village for nights when you don't want to do cook - no driving required!
The Unique Benefits at this House: Quite simply the views and the space. Beautiful vistas to the sea and surrounding mountains. You can see and feel the village from terrace, look up to the church and hear the softy chiming bells, yet it is located just far enough out of the actual centre for it to be private and serene.
