Come stay in luxurious privacy at Casa South Breeze. This amazing villa is located in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, a small fishing village located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. The villa is situated directly on the beach and features four air conditioned bedrooms, three with private bath and private seaside verandas. In addition to the private verandas, the roof top holds an amazing observation terrace which invites private sunbathing, and a place to view sunrise and sunset. The uniquely walled waterfront location and seawall provide total privacy as well as security.
The stunning private swimming pool with integrated heated Jacuzzi features a shallow water chair deck, easy entry steps, and a comfortable seating area to read and relax. The pool area flows comfortable around an outside kitchen, eating area and patio cove all with views of the Caribbean Sea. Upon exiting your beach door you will encounter miles of white sand beach. The sandy gradual incline into the Caribbean Sea provides protected waters for swimming, and other water sports. The reef is located between one quarter and one half mile off shore and provides excellent opportunities for snorkelers and divers alike.
The small village of Puerto Morelos is a pleasant 20 minute walk on the beach from your door or a short drive along neighborhood streets. Puerto Morelos encourages a laid back atmosphere and captivates the interest of visitors with small shops, delicious restaurants, dive shops and a zocalo (town Square), where locals and visitors alike gather to socialize. For bigger city action, Cancun is a 20 minute drive north and Playa del Carmen a 20 minute drive south. Attractions such as Xcaret, Xel-ha, Tulum, Puerto Adventurous, the Croco coon zoo and many others are an easy drive.

The house is absolutely beautiful. A great floorplan opens up to a perfect views of pool, beach, and sea. It's comfortable and perfect for a family, 3 couples, or a small group of friends. Although the owner wasn't very responsive/helpful - the caretaker Randy is great. Loved the house and enjoyed our stay. Would go again and recommend to others. Easy drive (you need a car) to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Xcaret, etc. great location. Puerto Morelos (PM) is still a wonderful place although increasingly touristy (many of the Mexican locals have moved across the hiway - go drive through and you won't feel so bad about tipping everbody involved in your services some pesos). Skip the big restaurant Los Pelicanos (poorly prepared food, poor service especially on a slow evening) and opt for the smaller ones (great food, good service, kind people) - go into Cancun for anything more than causal dining (Lorenzillos has excellent food and service). The amenities weren't exactly as listed - no computer , no wifi, no telephone, no sattelite/cable service while we were there (the caretaker said it hadn't worked for a few weeks to a month and the wifi was very important to us but several wifi locations in PM), the cell phone didn't work, and the propane for the hot tub wasn't delivered until the afternoon of our last full day. Outdoor charcoal grill (cheap type) wasn't functional. The "stereo system" was outdated, poor quality when new, and didn't match the rest of the property. One of my biggest complaints is that although a washer and dryer are there - guests aren't allowed to use them or other cleaning tools (broom, mop, kitchen towels) which are in a locked room. Although the caretaker washed towels, access to cleaning supplies, and the washer/dryer would have made for a more pleasant stay (we'd have washed our own bed linens as the maid had quit). So put paper or kitchen towels on your shopping list. There's a good sized shopping plaza not far from PM with Wal-Mart and Starbucks (Wifi), make sure to stock up on fruits and veggies as little markets in PM don't sell them. The discounted rates during Sept/Oct make it well worth it - I'd expect more at the higher rates.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

The house is beautiful in all it's mexican charm, the pool is magnificent and the location is gorgeous. My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Casa South Breeze and would definitely return again. The pool is perfect for lounging or entertaining small children with many shallow play areas. The setting was serene and completely relaxing. The nearly constant sea breeze around the pool area made the heat and humidity of town a distant memory. Randy the caretaker was available to answer all questions and provide any assistance during our stay. Highly recommend El Merkadito and Chimchurri's for dinners out in town.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
