The San Paolino street starts from one of the main gateways in the wall surrounding the city , with the tourist information centre on hand and leads directly to the famous Piazza San Michele.
However the street has a turning the clock back feel to it as many of the beautiful artisan shops , (botteghe) still have their original shop fronts ... like the Caniparoli fine chocolatiers.
There is the interesting San Paolino church to visit just across the road from the apartments and a pleasant square as well , lots of shops , restaurants and amenities on hand.
These three apartments are an ideal base for anyone visiting Lucca centre , the ampiteatro , its numerous churches and several beautiful squares together with its famous epoque villas set in the countryside nearby such as Villa Mansi and Villa Torrigiani.
