Located in the acclaimed historic district in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, this 1920's home has been completely renovated to especially accommodate the whims of vacationing young families and couples alike.

This home has a comfortable living room, large kitchen, and three bedrooms that can very easily sleep 10 adults or children. Arrayed with lots of bright pastel colors, the Garden Bedroom, located in the middle of the house, has a queen size bed. The Angel Bedroom has two double beds, adorned with high headboards and hunter green curtains and bedspreads. Angels don the wicker etagere and are the focus of the pictures on the wall. The Rainbow Bedroom is the smallest bedroom and has one double bed. The emphasis in this room is on metamorphosis and the colors of the rainbow.

Special packages are available, that may include massage, healing touch, reiki, and acupuncture. Guests may also request arrangements for tourist packages, that include plays, dinners, boat rides or other special events. Wilmington is a pot pourri of cultural events and tourist sites. Chrysalis promises a vacation to remember in a town to remember. Guests will want to return again and again for many years to come.

  • We had a lovely time at Dothula's pink cottage. Walking distance to lots of restaurants/bars. Very comfortable and suited to families with added college students. Will stay again in the future. Beautiful live oak in back yard.

  • Thank you Dothula!! We loved your house and Wilmington. We were able to do so much more than if we had stayed in a hotel being so close to downtown. Cooking in a full kitchen made life easy and relaxed too. We all felt at home. We vacationed on a week after in Ocean Isle and our 4 year still asked on our way home if we were going to our new pink house! I think he had a good time! We will most definitely give you a call on our next relocation visit!

  • Hi Dothula, I just wanted to write to you and say Thank you so much for a beautiful home to stay in while visiting family and Wilmington. We had such a good time. We will hope to stay again next summer or maybe even before then if it pans out. Your brother was so helpful to us and a very pleasant person. We tried to make sure most of the cleaning was done so I hope it was okay. I really loved the house. It was so homey. Every part of it from the back yard where our 3 year old grandson rode his bike to the front porch where one of my sister's and 4 of her 5 boys and husband were able to join us to watch the fireworks through the trees. This was definitely one vacation that we will always remember. None of us wanted to come home. Thank you again for your time and your place. We really enjoyed the back patio, that was a plus. The location is close to downtown. The beach was only about 15-20 away. Thanks so much.

    Dothula, Thank you again for being so accommodating with the arrangements this past weekend. Jennifer (my wife), Meredith (our daughter), Chris (Meredith's boyfriend), Lily (our dog) and I truly enjoyed the house and felt very comfortable there. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet and convenient to everything around town. I love the cozy yet airy feel of the house. A bonus was the secluded backyard. Unfortunately the temps were so high that we didn't spend much time outside while we were at the house.
