The Cardiff area was great. Special applause to the French Pastrie Rest. and Encinitas Restaurant, plus the Beach House Restaurant. With regard to our three month stay at this unit, after three days we knew we made a mistake. The so called kitchen had only a half refrigerator and no washer/drier and so we had to run to stores many times a week, and launder mats are terribly expensive. There was no dish washer, so our dry skin became cracked and neccesitated going to the hospital. On top of that, the furniture was terribly uncomfortable and we borrowed a reclining chair to use ilo the other chairs - including the steel frame breakfast table chairs. We actually purchased a storage box to store our clothes. The pool area needed lots of attention as there was a broken bottle by the hot tub that some one left, and two of the reclining chairs were ripped. Better get the HOA involved and fix these problems. We should note landscaping was great, but around this unit, they need to trim the tall bushes, as they drove us nuts banging against our room at night. This servants room might be okay for a couple of days, but anything more would be a mistake. We had hoped the owner, who was in town, would have taken the time to stop by and we could have shown them some of our concerns. It is not fun writing a negative report, but the truth must be spoken.
