Carol was great to work with and the condo is absolutely beautiful...view..view..view! We would definitely stay here again. The gated complex was also a great plus and we would see security daily - you can't be too safe these days. The grounds are very well kept and clean. The kids also loved the 2 pools to choose from. You will not be disappointed!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

AC didn't work when got there, had to stay in hotel for 2 nights + more

I rented this unit at the end ofJune 2011. When we walked in the place was very dirty!!! Carol did call the housekeeper immediately. But the A/C didn't work and had to stay in a hotel for 2 nights, which Carol said she would pay for. In addition the Jacuzzi tub does not work and the place is not newly renovated...needs a paint job and a thorough cleaning. If you notice their is only one posting for 2011, The owners haven't even seen the place in over a year and have no idea how the place looks.I have yet to receive my deposit back nor the amount promised for the hotel stay. I spoke with Carol in early to mid July; she said she was sending deposit back, including the money for hotel. It is Aug 12th and have yet to receive anything! Make sure the owners on VRBO have been to their properties within the last few months before renting.

This was our first time vacationing on Hilton Head Island. We found the area clean and inviting. The condo was very clean and Carol did a great job in decorating. The condo is small however was just the right size for the 2 of us. We enjoyed the beach, bike riding, and the varied restaurants. Hilton Head has made us want to come back for more. The golf courses were very nice also. The winter was harsh in this area and the grass on the courses hadn't begun to grow yet. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Carol was very easy to deal with and made our stay as good as possible. Also, the view from the condo is great!!!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you are looking for a one bedroom condo near the beach, this is definitely a place to seriously consider. It is literally a 1 - 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach. The condo has been remodeled really well, and is very comfortable. The location on the island is also great for vacationers - with easy access to bike paths, and a variety of nearby shops and excellent restaurants. In addition to all the positives about the condo articulated by other guests, we would like to emphasize that Carol Dodd was very accommodating and professional in making the entire experience with this VRBO-listed property a very positive one. This is important as one never knows what the experience will be when renting throught VRBO. Carol was really great to work with.

We loved the Dodd condo. It is decorated so nicely and just perfect for a couple or a couple with 1-2 small children. Centrally located, we were able to travel the entire week on bicycles and not use the car until time to leave. The view from the condo overlooks a well manicured lawn followed by a low thicket of shrubs and a few pines.( A haven for marsh hares and several varieties of birds to watch while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee or cocktail.) The dunes and shore are the beautiful backdrop to it all. Carol was a pleasure to work with and really cares about her guests comfort and enjoyment. We enjoyed our stay at the Dodd condo with our 2 young children. The condo is in the perfect location - great views, quiet surroundings, easy to access beach and restaurants. Clean and updated. Condo may be a little small for 2 adults with older children. Carol was great to work with - answered all questions and sent everything we needed promptly! It was a great vacation.

We were privileged to be the first English people that Carol had rented to and we were delighted both with the property and its location. It is very well equipped, in a great location from the point of view of access to shops, restaurants and the beach. It was great to watch the rabbits grazing just outside and lovely to see the dolphins playing along the ocean shore line. This was our first visit to Hilton Head and we hope to return.

We enjoyed a relaxing week at your SeaSide Villa. The accomodations were very clean and comfortable with a panoramic view of the beach and ocean. Next time we have to take binoculars or a telescope along to view the container ships and dolphins from the balcony. This central location allowed us to bike to both ends of the island and walk as far as we wanted in either direction. We hope to be back in the future

Carol, Thank you for our lovely vacation in Hilton Head. We were thrilled by the accommodations. Everything was as stated,very clean and modern, the location was fabulous, easy to get to all areas of the island, and within walking or bike riding distance to all the fun and food at Coligny. Great restaurants nearby, lots of shops. The beach was great, the view even better and fun to sit on the balcony and watch the dolphins frolic while having our coffee. My husband and I spent 5 fantastic days at Dodd's condo. It is exactly as advertised, just perfect really. The view is oceanfront, even while standing at the kitchen counter, and has a wonderfully equipped kitchen. Very comfy king-sized bed. The beach is in one direction, stores in the other, both equally convenient to this centrally-located condo. Bikes can be delivered to your door,and off you pedal! We will be back! We've been going to Hilton Head for over 20 years and when it's just the two of us the SeaSide Villas are perfect because of the location being near to Coligny and Sea Pines. The Dodd Villa is the best and the pictures don't do it justice. Carol is a pleasure to work with as a owner and we will definitly be back.

We stayed in the Dodd's villa Apr 14th through 23rd, 2007. It was bright and clean, exactly as "advertised". As first time visitors to HHI, we were thrilled with the central location on the island, not to mention the oceanfront views. I'm definitely hope to stay there again.

Carol,We had a wonderful week staying in your condo at Hilton Head. The weather was good, your unit was enjoyable and comfortable for the two of us. It has a great location for stores, activities and it was great to be right on the beach. Carol is right - you will not want to leave this condo. It is cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. You can stand at the kitchen counter and have a gorgeous view of the ocean. Sipping coffee or "otherwise" on the balcony is an experience to enjoy. The beach is quiet - perfect for sitting & reading. I'm ready for another stay at Carol's treasure.

Our stay at Seaside was wonderful. The accomodations were beautiful, and the view is truly spectacular - all you see from the balcony is green grass, palm trees, and blue ocean. It was the ideal place to celebrate our 4th anniversary and watch our almost 2 year old fall in love with the ocean. We hope to return to this little piece of paradise. The condo was wonderful and the best rental unit I have ever stayed in. The view of the ocean is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the beach, quiet and private. The design of the condo is top notch with everything thought of; the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The jacuzzi tub along with great closet space, decor and a wonderful owner to work with, we hated to depart. I will definitely return and would also say that after biking around the entire island, this is the best location in Hilton Head. I cannot wait to return.

We hope you are as delighted as we are with our villa. Everything is new (from the floors up). Our desire was to create a serene, relaxing getaway decorated in colors that were easy on the eye and furniture that was easy on the body! We were particular about having one of the best mattresses available. After all, vacation is often about catching up on rest and we wanted it to be a memorable experience. There is nothing better than sitting on the balcony with a cold beverage and listening to the surf or watching the sun come up and go down on another great day. This is truly the BEST condo on the ocean that we have ever stayed in! Unbelievable views, comfortable, spacious, and fabulous attention to detail. We didn't cook in all that often, but when we did, we certainly appreciated the complete kitchen,including a fully stocked spice rack! (Sometimes it's the little things that make me happy....sometimes it's the big things....like the super comfortable king size bed you provided.Thank you, thank you, for that!)
