Standing in its small estate of 2 acres, on a hillside overlooking olive groves, the Aegean Sea and the distant mountains of Parnassos, it’s a spacious, beautifully designed and furnished House comfortably sleeping 11 extending to 13 (with a further cottage in the same grounds for +6 if wanted).
With stone floors, modern interiors, beautiful artifacts including ancient vases and Marino glassware, stunning natural light, a private pool with a bar and huge sunning areas, mature private gardens (with lawns, and 30 trees including cherry, pear, lemon, orange, fig and palm), living accommodation covering 13 rooms, with huge sun terraces overlooking the gardens and private pool.
Magnificent in design, the House is an original restoration by a Greek architect - in part utilising the ancient ruins of some bakeries, stables and courthouses - that has every modern feature and convenience yet still retains the beautiful original features of colour, lots of natural light and stonework, including original 2,400BC walling around the poolside and BBQ areas.
It's blessed with a beautiful location which is ideal for experiencing an unspoilt and real Greece. Guests can have the pleasures of both classical and modern Greece - Delphi, Volos, Pelion, Meteora, Thermopylae, Evia, and the Sporades Islands are all close by - but from a location where Greek’s themselves holiday, so guests are within 5 minutes of many sophisticated bars, café’s, many choices of excellent taverna’s and restaurants, nightlife, shops, tennis, sailing and more.
It features a 30metre long front sun terrace (lit under floor at night facing the gardens. A huge living room (200m2) is at the centre of the villa, opening onto the terraces, with 3 separate seating areas, TV/DVD/Satellite, wi-fi internet, and a huge log fireplace.
At one end of the villa is the 'Turkish Room' - a further occasional room for extra sleeping than features original, beautiful Turkish furnishings that opens onto the main 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms area. At the other, the villa opens onto its modern farmhouse style kitchen, with a separate dining room for 12, and a further en suite bedroom and bathroom.
A large private pool and sun area with a barbecue/spit area and a fully equipped bar area extends to the rear of the living areas.
The property boasts 5+ bedrooms (four doubles, 1 single, plus 2/4 spare beds in the 'Turkish Room' area), three baths with showers, bidet and toilets, fully fitted farmhouse style kitchen, a dining room maintained in original design with stone floors, with open wood fire; Private entrances through a courtyard or the gardens.
We welcome guests into a warm, friendly atmosphere and have designed some additional experiences to make your stay special: Chef Nights by candlelight poolside, where guests can immerse themselves in wonderful Greek cooking and join in the bouzouki dancing; Or private sailing days, where guests can cruise to an uninhabited island for a day of relaxation and swimming on a private island.
