Fabulous custom home with utmost attention to detail. The top level has an open floor plan with 16 foot tongue and groove beamed ceiling with huge windows overlooking the Berkshires and Overlook mountain. There is a gorgeous bluestone fireplace and several other walls covered with the stone from the site. The entire floor has hardwood Kempas flooring. The walls are painted in earthy colors that feel like a cross between an adobe house and a Tuscan villa.
The kitchen has all high end stainless appliances including a Meile Steam oven, Jenn-air down draft stove with inside BBQ feature, restaurant quality cappuccino machine. The cabinets are from Plain & Fancy with a Caesar Stone counter top. This level also has a three sided sun room and open deck (has a queen sleeper sofa). This level is 20 feet off the ground so you feel like you are in the tree tops surrounded by open vast views.
The second floor has the master bedroom with its own balcony and a two person whirlpool with multi-jet shower and a walk-in closet (king bed), there is a second bedroom with two single mattresses (can be combined for a king). This is a child's room and contains many toys for a three to five year old. There is a private bath (with whirlpool bath) that is shared with the adjacent Library. The Library is designed as a moroccan room with all authentic rugs , lighting and pillows from Morocco(has a single bed). The main entrance to the house is on this floor and there is a foyer with indonesian bench and plantation chair.
There is a wonderful 12x24 foot screened in porch overlooking the front yard with a side view of the pond and patio with fire pit. On the first level to the house is the garage and a separate studio that is completely above ground with its own entrance and blue stone patio. It has a queen size bed and living room and an eat in kitchen plus a full bathroom. On this level there is a huge 14x32 room that can be used as a play room and for putting golf balls (it has a putting hole in the floor). This room has a door leading to another blue stone patio with a five person hot tub. There is an additional full bath next to the room and a front loader washer and dryer room.
All the rooms have a great view except for the library which overlooks the front screened porch. The house is constructed out green materials including 13 inch wide concrete form walls, 100% wool rugs, VOC free paint, etc. This home is very unique, you will not be disappointed.
