We want to introduce you to our magnificent family home nestled in the forest of Breckenridge! If a great price, a fantastic location, and a host of amenities interest you, this is the place you want! IMAGINE 2 acres of incredible views from all sides of the property, three decks, a jacuzzi under the stars, and 3,000 sq. feet of space in the house - THAT'S LAURAWAY! Located on two wooded acres, which border the famous Blue River … all of this remoteness is less than 5 minutes from the center of historic Breckenridge.
Lauraway is a family home, we all work on the house so it is much more than just a rental - you'll find warmth and friendly additions at Lauraway. We take pride in owning and caring for our home.
Lauraway is ideal for family reunions and groups of friends who want special times together. The dining room table which can seat 12 makes meals an opportune time to share, the picnic area by the Blue River provides outdoor eating, and the multi-levels give some "space" when space is needed! The house will comfortably sleep 12 and there are also convertible beds (hide-a-beds).
And for those people who find they must do just a little work while vacationing, we do have WIFI service.

HOUSE DESIGN:
LOWER LEVEL - As you enter the house, there is the game room with TV/DVD, pool table, and barstools and counter. A deck with table, chairs, and large Jacuzzi "under the stars" sits next to the game room. Also on this floor is a Sauna. One bedroom, Lodgepole, has a queen bed while the second bedroom, Aspen, has two sets of bunk beds. And finally, the bath on this lower level has a shower.
MIDDLE FLOOR - This is all entertainment. Our renters comment that they love a level with no bedrooms so "entertainment" can occur at all hours of the day or night! The great room hosts a TV/CD/DVD unit, a wood-burning fireplace, a game table, and lots of seating - two couches, a recliner chair, and two window seats. The kitchen hosts modern conveniences and there is a long kitchen counter with 5 barstools. In addition, the dining room table can seat 12, so all can enjoy each other's laughter and tales of the day! We have even added a second refrigerator for large groups. The washer and dryers on this floor may be used by guests. There is also a half-bath. Outside on this level is a deck with patio furniture and a propane grill.
TOP LEVEL - You may find yourself fighting for the master bedroom suite - the Wildflower room has a king bed, walk-in closet, two window seats, two couches, private deck with exquisite views, TV, and bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom on this floor, Pinecone, has a queen bed; and the other bedroom, Spruce, has two twin beds. These two bedrooms share a full bath with double sinks.

We fell in love with Breckenridge while skiing there years ago and decided it would be a perfect place to own a vacation home. Our home is nestled on 2 wooded acres so it feels like you're away from it all, yet it's less than 2 miles to the gondola. And the best part - summers are just as great as winters in Breckenridge with endless outdoor adventures.

We loved staying at Lauraway! We combined two families for Thanksgiving and had more than enough space. The huge dining room table allowed us to fit everyone at the table at one time. The kitchen was spacious enough to allow multiple cooks in the kitchen. And the best part was that there was always something new for everyone to do. There is a short trail to a beautiful creek, a hot tub, sauna, pool table, and then the massive main floor great room for everybody to lay down and watch movies. Couldn't have picked a better place for our Thanksgiving vacation! All of this, combined with outstanding communication from the owners means we will be coming back without a doubt! Thanks again!

Lauraway was a perfect fit for our seven adults and five kids(ages 14,7,5,4,and 3). Its location out of town along the Blue River and just off Rte 9 was great.it was close enough for a quick trip into town and far enough away to feel isolated in the woods.The house set up was ideal with bed rooms above and below the kitchen and living room. The kids loved the space and used it well for their arts and crafts. The jacuzzi was a wonderful accessory and great for relaxing and refreshing.We truly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and grill for our cooking enthusiasts. We had some good running, hiking,and biking while there.The kids loved the Peak 8 fun place despite some ling lines. Some went horseback riding and most did a gold mine tour.High fives for those. The place was as described and shown.The owners were helpful and responsive.They have done a great job of maintaining their property and facilitating great stays by guests.We recommend this property highly!!

We never heard a sound from others the entire week we were there. The owners are outstanding to deal with in every step from planning, paying, and staying. The staircase from the lower level to upper with in the house is a spiral and we were concerned for our 1-1/2 year old. The owners supply a child gate and it worked for us. I give an excellent rating because of the interaction with the owners (very customer service driven).

We had a great time over the 4th of July in Breckenridge. It was wonderful to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the mountains every morning. The setting is very peaceful and beautiful. The house worked out great for us. Plenty of bathrooms and enjoyed having the 1/2 bath on the main floor. Great gathering place for families. Enjoyed the hiking close by.

We spent a cosy winter week at Lauraway and had an excellent time. The house's levels make it very easy for members of a group to not crowd each other. All the facilities in the house were great and clean. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to my communications in the reservation process. Lauraway's location makes it very easy to access everything in Breckenridge, while still being just a bit removed from the bustle of being in town. My whole crew of 13 recommend the house very much.

We had a total of eleven family members and friends who traveled from Missouri, Texas and California to spend five days together during Spring Break. The Lauraway property easily accommodated all of us. The main level was great for cooking, eating, and hanging out. Some of the people were not skiers, so they simply dropped off or picked up the skiers at the gondola or at the base of the slopes. The time to accomplish this task from door to slope was approximately 10 minutes. The house is very close to town with a very nice setting. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of skiing. It is very family oriented with a playpen for a baby, a high chair, sleds, as well as various toys for little ones. The spiral staircase between floors could be difficult for older folks or those who have issues walking. Overall, we had a great experience and would certainly recommend the Lauraway property.

This year (2011) we took our family and friends to Breckenridge and were lucky enough to find Lauraway to call home for the week. Everything from booking to the last day of our trip went so smoothly. We could not have asked for a better time! The house is located just south of town, allowing a nice quiet stay without the hassles of traffic, but close enough that travel to the mountain is a breeze. We used this house for a week with about 10 people and found that we had more than enough room and privacy. The pictures on this site can only give you an idea of how wonderful this house looks. We were all thrilled when we entered the house for the first time and found just how spacious and inviting Lauraway is. For the price and the location this is a best buy for sure! My family and I will surely be making a return trip to this magnificent getaway next year!

This house is great. We had 4 adults and 7 kids - plenty of room for everyone. The pool table on the ground level is great as well as the hot tub. Location is perfect - you feel like you are in the complete middle of the forest but are only a tad more than a mile from Breckenridge. Perfect location. Very comfortable the large living room with TV is nice and the kitchen is plenty big to cook for a larger group. I highly recommend!
