My family and I stayed there and it was great. It was clean and just what we needed. There was toys for the kids to play with and take to the beach and everyone spent an amazing and memorable vacation. we will 100% come back next year -WE FOUND OUR SPOT!!!!!!!!!!! There was plenty of chairs, it was nice and relaxing, grills to cookout and it completely worked perfect. Even the cute and VERY organized laundry facility was just awesome. Love it! Great job see you next year and thank you for a great time.

Wonderful Stay! Everything was great and neat and extremely clean. The pool and hot tubs were perfect and WOW so many toys for the kids to play with. There was plenty of extra sheets, towels and the little laundry room is so nice. We felt comfortable like in our own home. It was quiet and Diana was more than helpful with giving us ideas for good places to eat and go out etc. We have no complaints and will 100% be coming back and telling ALL of our friends and family about this wonderful vacation spot.

We rented the entire Sweet Monroe Retreat and it was a diappointment. The furniture in the bedrooms and living room was different than they appear to be on the website and the home was not as clean at all as we would have liked it to be. The oven was dirty and so was the sink.We had maintenance issues such as: the main door not closing, light bulbs being burned out, the washer and dryer not working properly and the dishwasher not cleaning the dishes at all.There were also fire alarms that kept on beeping even after we told Diane. We had a mouse in one of the bedrooms, a few rats that ran along the outside fence nightly. There were nice things like plenty of beach towels and linens available to us, soap in the bathrooms, dishwashing soap in the kitchen, tiki torches by the pool, plenty of pool and beach toys(not all of them still good) and rafts,and a nice stereo with speakers to the outdoor pool area.The hot tub was dirty with a green ring all around in the inside. The house is very close to the beach but there is not a nice view of the beach from the home itself. The pool and hot tub are very close the road with a lot of traffic noise.We will not be staying at or recommending the Sweet Monroe Retreat to anyone that we know.

Sweet Monroe Retreat was the perfect location for our family to come together and enjoy a vacation. We had thirteen people and we all slept comfortably. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We used and were happy to have the grill by the pool, washer and dryer, outdoor stereo, pool toys, beach chairs and beach toys. Diana was a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to make sure we had a great vacation. We will definitely return to Sweet Monroe and recommend to friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sweet Monroe Retreat. It was so easy to visit the surrounding area. The pool was so refreshing and the beach so beautiful. I have so many lovely sunset pictures and our family said this was a perfect vacation. Diana helped us settle in with a wonderful tour and make us feel so welcome and comfortable. We wanted to get away from our busy lifestyle and just relax and have fun. We certainly found the perfect place. I have recommended the Sweet Monroe Retreat to many of my friends.

The house is very close to the beach but there is not a nice view of the beach from the home itself. We have rented several places from websites and we had never been unhappy before. We will not be staying at or recommending the Sweet Monroe Retreat to anyone that we know.

We loved the location!! My family and I stayed at Sweet Monroe located on Indian rocks Beach and less than a 30 minute drive from Tampa International Airport. The actual property is a stones throw from the beach and found the location to be centrally located to many Florida attractiions (I recommend that you rent a vehicle though if you plan on visiting the theme parks). The rooms in Sweet Monroe were large enough to accomodate a large family and equipped with a full kitchen which felt more like home than a hotel - which we enjoyed very much. The manager/Owner Diana was very accomodating and gave us guidance with kid activities on the beach and the beach trolley which stops at other beaches, restaurants and local attractions. We plan on returning real soon. Maria

We stayed at Sweet Monroe April 2-9, 2011....we loved it! We used the pool & when too warm & wanted to have the ocean breeze we walked 500 yds to the ocean! Felt it was clean & had so many things (towels, sheets, blankets, beach chairs, beach toys) that we don't have to bring as much for next year! :) We will definitely return....Diana was very great to work with! HIGHLY recommend....we had 3 families &14 people total & had lots of room!

I stayed here with my family that came to visit and it was really nice. The entire place inside and out is really clean, neat and organized. Everything you needed was there. We had a great time and everyone wants to come back next year. You can walk to restaurants,walk to the beach or hang out in the pool and have a bbq. What a lovely vacation.

Listing was accurate, clean and very homey! All items needed were present. We loved the pool area, laundry facility and having the ocean just steps away! Diana was great to work with and insured we had everything we needed. She made us feel like we were working with a long time friend! We will definately pass on the contact info for this property to others for future stays!

My family and I stayed at the Sweet Monroe for a week of relaxation and reconnection. What a treat it was! We each enjoyed the privacy of our own unit while having plenty of "common grounds" to meet and visit! The units were quite charming and clean. The pools and hot tubs were clear, warm, and welcoming! I would highly recommend this as a family destination!

My husband and I stayed at unit 8 which is beautiful, private and steps from the beach. We had such a lovely trip. The location is perfect and the price is just right. Everyone is so nice and helpful that we are coming back next year. I often go to the website www.sweetmonroe.com to see last minute specials as well as updates. The website is very helpful to give us ideas on “things to do” thank you so much for a great stay.

I had my entire family (about 16) people stay at the Balboa Beach Retreat and it was wonderful. Walking distance to the beach, pool, restaurants and the bars. It was a perfect vacation. Everyone is very helpful and kind and our stay was great. We will be booking again for next year. The house is clean, beautiful and it just worked out perfect. Thank you to everyone at the retreat you made our vacation awesome.
