This home is called "The White Lantern". Due to popular demand (View Comments from Guests), we now have two beautiful identical vacation homes to offer. The "White Lantern" and "The Bronze Lantern" are located near all major Hideout (Our private Community)amenities (e.g. Pools, Lakes,Ski Hill, Golf, Tennis etc.

Our new three-level chalets are located in The Hideout, a four-star community in the Pennsylvania Poconos. Our homes offer beautiful mountain views from every window. The unique shape of the windows allows the sun to shine in beautifully creating a light, luxurious and spacious atmosphere.

The first level offers a comfortable Recreation Room made for fun and relaxation. You will enjoy using the pool table, air hockey table, and ping pong table. Next, you can relax and watch TV or a DVD or sleep on a large futon (which becomes a queen-size bed).

The main level includes a beautiful Family Room with a woodburning fireplace, a separate dining area, and a large and complete kitchen. The kitchen is perfect for preparing full holiday meals. All plates, utensils, dishes, glasses etc. are provided. The Master Bedroom is on the floor. It includes a queen-size bed and a sitting area (with space for a young child). A large full Master Bath enhances your comfort and relaxation.

The third level includes two private bedrooms, a loft for relaxing or sleeping and a large full bath. As you have seen, this home offers space and privacy for you and the other members of your group. The Hideout (our community) enhances your enjoyment by providing excellent food and entertainment, plus a host of amenities like golf, swimming (in pools and lakes), and tennis. Daily activities for kids offer great memories for years to come.

Our home is a comfortable drive to the new Mount Airy & Mohegan Sun Casino Resorts. Take a short ride and enjoy gaming (3000 Slot Machines), Entertainment, Dining, Golf and up-scale amenities including a wonderful Spa.

  • A nice, clean, comfy home. Me and my husband stayed there for a weekend in the fall. Went for hikes and then returned to the toasty fireplace, meals cooked on the grill and played pool, airhockey and ping pong. Would recommend to anyone with or without children. The owners were great to work with!

  • We, our daughters and their families have stayed at the White Lantern three times and we are planning our fourth. The chalet is nicely laid out, clean, well cared for and very well equipped. The Hideout has nice amenities which we enjoy and there are other near-by places to go for family fun. We Have always enjoyed our visits to the White Lantern and recommend it easily.

  • We just returned from a week in The Hideout and stayed in The White Lantern. I must say the home was absolutely beautiful and EXTREMELY CLEAN. We having been visiting for several years and will definately visit again next year and stay at The White Lantern!!! The Hideout is a great place for families!! We highly recommend it!

  • I found "the white lantern" by chance browsing the site, and since we were looking for a relaxing place out of town for five days in july, after seeing the pictures and the descriptions, we thought we found what we were looking for, only to find out upon arrival that the place is much better that it seems in the web site. What a great place!!! I was astonished by the quiet and heavenly environment of the Hideout...i think i saw more deers than people in our five days there, and the lake, the view and the staff was just outstanding. But this house was the icing on the cake, just beautifull and so spacious and clean. We enjoied the patio end the barbecue everyday, and the game room downstairs was excactly what we needed at night after a great day on the beach of the lake....overall just amazing, can't wait to go back in winter. Five stars!!!

  • My girl and I went up there for Valentine's and her birthday withh 2 other couples/friends. we had a great time, got a little lost on the way up, and were a little late, but really enjoyed ourselves. WE took advantage of the passes and went skiing Saturday night, and it was a lot of fun! Some of us played pool, some air hockey, all enjoyed the fireplace. We'll be back. Long trip/ride though!

  • Childhood friends and I have been staying at the White Lantern for two years running...a sort of reunion- a time to catch up and get away from the kids. We positively love the White Lantern and the Hideaway. It is always clean and comfortable and provides a great atmosphere to relax in. It's roomy enough for our group of 10. The Guests are wonderful people to rent from and make the rental process easy. They genuinely care that you have a wonderful and hassle-free stay.
