Our new three-level chalet located in The Hideout, a four-star community in the Pennsylvania Poconos. Our home offer beautiful mountain views from every window. The unique shape of the windows allows the sun to shine in beautifully creating a light, luxurious and spacious atmosphere.
The first level offers a comfortable Recreation Room made for fun and relaxation. You will enjoy using the pool table, air hockey table, and ping pong table. Next, you can relax and watch TV or a DVD or sleep on a large futon (which becomes a queen-size bed). The 4th bedroom is also located on this level. A fully equipped laundry room complete with laundry soaps is here for your use.
The main level includes a beautiful Family Room with a woodburning fireplace, a separate dining area, and a large and complete kitchen. The kitchen is perfect for preparing full holiday meals. All plates, utensils, dishes, glasses etc. are provided. The Master Bedroom is on the floor. It includes a queen-size bed and a sitting area (with space for a young child). A large full Master Bath enhances your comfort and relaxation.
The third level includes two private bedrooms, a loft for relaxing or sleeping and a large full bath. As you have seen, this home offers space and privacy for you and the other members of your group. The Hideout (our community) enhances your enjoyment by providing excellent food and entertainment, plus a host of amenities like golf, swimming (in pools and lakes), and tennis. Daily activities for kids offer great memories for years to come.
Our home is a comfortable drive to the new Mount Airy & Mohegan Sun Casino Resorts. Take a short ride and enjoy gaming (3000 Slot Machines), Entertainment, Dining, Golf and up-scale amenities including a wonderful Spa.

Andy & Aggie Schmidt purchased this home after many years of renting in the Hideout Community. The community provides a host of activities for all ages. If you want lots to do than you can take advantage of the lakes, pools, boating and skiing. If you want peace and quiet than you can take advantage of the quiet streets and woods surrounding. They hope you'll come and stay and see for yourself all the great things their home and the Hideout have to offer.

the house was clean and comfortable. Loved the kitchen. the rooms are very large and clean. the game room provided hours of fun for everyone includong my 2 1/2 yr old grandaughter. If you appreciate nature you will enjoy waking up to deer walking around outside. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will be looking forward to another week spent here in the future.

This is a great house! Everybody in my group absolutely loved it! Master bedroom is huge. All other bedrooms are also nice sized. Spacious updated kitchen and stocked up game room! The hosts are very nice. All our instructions were very clear. We also got a call upon our arrival to make sure that everything was ok! Schmidts' house will be on top of our list when we plan our next poconos trip.

5 of us came up for a weekend away from the city and we couldn't have asked for a better home. The Schmidt's home is clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, and all around pleasant. The game room was a big hit with our group; pool, air hockey, and board games were being played on a non stop basis. The kitchen amenities were great - everything you need to prepare meals, or just chill out. All of the flatware, plate sets and glasses, etc are modern and upscale. The shower temperature was more than perfect, the heat worked perfectly, and even if it hadn't, the linens provided were so warm and cozy that it wouldn't have mattered much. We are looking forward to coming back to stay at this house again in the future, possibly in the summer seeing as we saw two kayaks seem to be available. -- On site amenities were great - We hit the clubhouse our first night and enjoyed some karaoke and super affordable drink prices, as well as some of the best onion rings in the entire universe. On Saturday we snow tubed and skied. Skiing was super affordable and the lift was of decent incline. The community is beautiful - and we are not the only ones who think so; deer are EVERYWHERE which is a nice treat for city-folk. All in all, the weekend was amazing. We highly suggest you consider this home for your vacation needs - You'll have everything you could possibly need for a great time, and you'll be in a CLEAN environment. Thank you, Aggie & Andy for the upkeep, fair rates, and easy rental procedure.

This was a great getaway vacation. We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday and had a great time snow boarding and hanging out in the game room. The house was amazing, well kept, clean, and had plenty of room for everyone. We will definitly be back. Andy and Aggie were wonderful and I will keep in touch for a summer stay.

House is in excellent condition. Plenty of room. Beautiful views. Deer visit daily. Squirrels and chipmunks playing constantly. Very quiet, relaxing. Grille works great. Large sturdy deck. Vaulted ceilings, balcony. Just perfect. Plenty of entertainment for kids (pool table, ping pong, ice air hockey, nintendo). Very near lots of great eating places and grocery/liquor/beer. Highly recommend Backdraft (Reuben, cheesesteaks, pizza) and John's Italian restaurant (clams, buffet, best cannoli I ever ate)! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! The only drawback is that it is not directly on the lake – but everything else makes it still worth it. If it were on the lake, it would never be vacant. We would rent again, no hesitation! Loved the bear carving so much we tracked down the maker (hint - it's in Lake Ariel) and bought three bears. Now we have a little piece of The Hideout and your home, at our home! :) THANK YOU!

Our vacation to the Chalet was fantastic. The welcoming sign that the bear holds in this picture is perfectly said. It is the Great Escape! This home has so much to offer. The home is immaculate, the kitchen is well equip, and the beds are so comfortable! Not to mention we stayed in most nights and played in the game room TOGETHER as a FAMILY. We took our boys fishing on different parts of the lake and relaxed by the beach and pool. There was always something to do right there at the complex. I highly recommend this home. Aggie, thank you for your hospitality, and I must admit our one son cried when it was time to come home. So did I just a bit-that's how much fun we ALL had. Thanks again.

Our family of six adults and four children (now 7 to 12) have always enjoyed our time here. The house is well maintained, well equipped and functional. The Hideout's amenities provide plenty of activities for all ages and interests. Andy and Abby are good hosts and easy to work with. We usually take two or three side trips per week, the Paws and Claws zoo gets a regular visit. This house has worked very well for us which is why we keep coming back.

i would like to say if you want a relaxing exciting home away from home this is the place to be. My group had a wonderful exciting time and we will be coming back for another stay soon....The house is well kept and the property home owners is fantastic. If you are renting you should really consider this home. It is truly a home away from home.
