This beautiful one story vacation house is located on the canal in Rockport Texas, and is minutes from the mile long Blue Wave Beach. In Palm Harbor, the house is over 2000 square feet with plenty of parking and no stairs to climb, easy in and out. Fish right off your own boat dock, or go to the end of the street for a full service marina to find bait, tackle, food, gas and deep sea fishing guides. Summer means a beach vacation, fall is the time to come fish and Winter Texans love this peaceful beautiful area.
After a day of catching your limit relax and enjoy this comfortable beautifully decorated four bedroom home. Of course we have air conditioning, and all bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The master suite has a king-sized pillow top bed, exercise bike, Cable TV, wall mounted 42" plasma TV, DVD/VCR and a small refrigerator. A second bedroom has an extra comfy king-sized pillow top bed, and wall mounted 32" LCD TV with DVD. There is a pillow top queen-size and cable TV in another room. The fourth room has a set of very comfortable twins and roll out bed; there is DVD/TV with video game to entertain the young ones. The couch pulls out to full-size bed if needed. Bed linens and extra blankets and pillows are all there for you.
For your entertainment cable TV's, computer and DVD's as well as wireless/wired high speed internet access is available.
We have a fully equipped kitchen or cook outside in the Barbecue pit and eat at the picnic table while watching the cranes, herons and terns that visit your back yard.
Plenty of room in the front drive to park cars and a boat. We even have a 50 amp RV hookup. There are many launch sites and you can tie up at the backyard dock with fish cleaning. Bait can be purchased across the street or at the neighborhood Palm Harbor marina.
You are just down the road from Rockport with the beach, art shows festivals and great Texas Coastal birding trails and wildlife refuges.

Why the Owner Chose Rockport
Rockport Texas is a laid back peaceful area with a small town feel, yet it offers all the conveniences you need. The people are unbelievably friendly, the town is clean and uncrowded. This is not Spring Break beach party Texas Coast. This is family friendly, eco-friendly seaside enjoyment. The nature preserve have done wonders for the endangered Whooping Crane, and having one appear on your own back deck is a delight. Since we love to fish, having a canal front that leads directly into Estes Flats was a key factor in choosing this house. The neighborhood has a full marina with boat supplies, bait and tackle. Directly across the street is all you need-a BBQ joint, liquor store, convenience store with gas station and a cute little restaurant with superb sub sandwiches. And yet with all this in walking distance the house is still quiet, private and peaceful.
The Unique Benefits at this House with RV Hookup
A perfect day at our home away from home begins with an easy step from our gazebo covered dock onto our boat fora morning fishing the flats. When we are tired or have caught out limit, we just cruise back, tie up, and use the cleaning station to prepare the fish for an outdoor BBQ. We love to sit on the deck at sunset, enjoying the woodsmoke from our cookout mixing with the saltwater breeze while we watch the palms sway and the herons, cranes and pelicans come in too roost. As it grows dark we like to build a comforting fire in the outdoor firepit and sit talking and enjoying the peace. When its time to go in, our incredibly comfortable pillow top bed will provide the best night's sleep possible. Escaping to this so relaxing place is a panacea for all the stresses of everyday life. It is wonderful to be able to share that with others when we can't experience it ourselves.

This is a beautiful peaceful Blue Wave beach. Blue Wave beaches are litter free, have handicap accessibility, public restroom facilities and swimmable waters

We live and work in San Antonio and have always loved taking quick min-vacations to the Coast whenever possible. Having a home in Rockport, just a short drive away lets us escape to the peaceful bliss of the ocean whenever we can.
