Everything was great. It was nice having a full kitchen, living room, fireplace, washer dryer and especially the hot tub. Thanks Heidi and Millie. Thank you for your support and I look forward to having you back some time soon.

I was disappointed in the specific condo (not the location or the complex). It was a special celebration of my husband's birthday and my expectations were high. First of all, the property was not luxury. When we first arrived, we went out on the patio to look at the hottub. When we came back in, we could not secure the french doors. We finally figured this out but did not feel comfortable going out on the patio again. We could not get the TV to come on. The instructions left on the counter, said to check the electrical box to make sure all the switches were on....Well once we found the box, there was a heavy mirror over it. My husband and I removed the mirror from the wall and checked the box but left it setting on the floor because we were afraid we could not hang it securely in place and it would fall and break. After 24 hours or so and no one responding to our TV calls, we finally pulled the TV out and followed the cords. The cord plugging into the TV was not making a connection to the TV. There was no place to hang our clothes as there was a large chest in the closet with someone's large suitcase on it. Also, had other things piled in the closet. The shade in the kitchen did not provide privacy even though it was closed, you could still see thru it. Floors/walls had multiple cracks and were dirty. Walls had holes where things had been hung and removed-or bare nails with nothing hanging on them. Water would not drain out of the dishwasher. I ran it twice, once with dishwashing soap and once with no soap - still did not drain. Towel hook in the bathroom was hanging insecurely in the wall so when I hung a towel, the hook fell out with the molly screw. There was no light on the outside of the front door. When we came in after dark, we had to fumble with the keyless entry. My husband took the light out of one of the bedroom lamps (leaving only one small lamp on a bedside table for reading) but it did not work either blinking on and off (mostly off). We assumed there was a short in the connection. The bedroom shade had a large gap preventing privacy when laying in bed with the light on. There were coffee cups put away with dried coffee in the bottom of them so we had to wash everything before using . The linens had definitely been used and washed a lot and did not feel luxuroius. Large zebra rug in the dining room with corners that kept curling. Multiple light bulbs out. On a positive note, other appliances were nice and bathroom shower was nice.
Owner response:We as the owners have taken over the management of this property so that we can be more responsive to calls and better meet guests needs. We have hired new cleaning staff who have been instructed to check things such as light bulbs and to notify us of any maintanence issues. The prior cleaners and management company were suppose to do this but appears they did not. In addition, we have replaced the dishwasher, purchased a new DVD player and have a new pullout couch. The closet has been cleaned out as well. As for the kitchen blinds, they are custom woven blinds that are by design, not meant to be complete privacy or light blocking blinds. The keyless entry has a button that lights up the touch pad in event that the light is either not turned on or has burnt out. We are now letting guests know about this feature.

Oct 2007 - We loved our stay at this casita! It’s beautifully appointed, warm space full of creative energy: art & good music. Sitting in the hot tub one night we saw 3 falling stars in a 15 minute period. Amazing! Enjoyed grilling Bison steaks (from Cids market) and making the rest of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. Loved the Tapas from the French Latin fushion place: Gutiz. Walked the gorge trail & spent time at the Taos Pueblo. We’d recommend this place to anyone! (Lynn & Scott from Ann Arbor, MI)

Very nice property. Nice appointments and well stocked with basics, like salt & pepper and soap and shampoo. We liked being a little closer into town and in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood. Thanks for the extra portable pedestal fan for those summer days. Great little barbeque grill. Thanks for the WIFI. [I hate to admit it, but I did take my laptop.]

July 2007 – We celebrated our 14th anniversary here & had a wonderful time. This casita is a joy to stay at. We spent time at the Fiesta “Que Vivan Las Fiestas de Taos!” And we hit the Black Mesa & La Chiripada wineries. The kitchen was great for cooking & the hot tub was fun to. Quiet, luxurious & walking distance to the plaza. The location was beautiful with large hardwood trees and mountain views from the hot tub & patio. We were able to walk across the street to El Monte Sagrado and chill in the Anaconda bar & my partner was able to have a spa treatment. Last, we were able to bike to the national park from the property. This place was amazing! I highly recommend it! JA

If you want a true Taos Mountain experience then this is the place to stay. Close to town/plaza 10 minutes & only 15-20 minutes from the world famous Taos Ski Valley. Also, we hike & bike for miles from the property to national forest land. Last, it is right next to Arroyo Seco which is a really cool off-shoot of Taos with Taos Cow ice cream and restaurant, art galleries & great shops.
