This nicely decorated unit has lots of added touches throughout. Neutral colors, accented with browns and blues, has a relaxed feel. The unit has a hint of a West Indies flair which provides a casual but elegant place to relax and enjoy the view. Located in the St. Croix Tower on the sixth floor (unit 604) the views are spectacular.
The ocean is seen while sitting on the couch or relaxing in the master suite. One balcony looks on the pool and beach while the second balcony looks directly onto the tennis and basketball courts. The views are NOT obstructed by other Silver Shells' Towers. All you see is sunrises, sunsets, the beach, the ocean, the lagoon pool and the landscaped green space. One could not ask for a more pleasing, relaxing setting.
The unit is designed to welcome families. There are four TVs, four DVD players, four VCRs and a Bose Sound System. Numerous lamps are located throughout the unit for those who love to read.
The large green space located between the lagoon pool and the beach is a great place for kids to play. They can climb on the equipment, throw a football or just run around in a safe area.
I own a pool-side cabana (MC-2) which may be available to rent at a discounted rate when available. The cabana is the perfect place for children to get out of the sun, watch TV or a movie, eat their lunch or take a well deserved nap. The adults can join the kids and take a break or sit just outside the cabana. Here they can enjoy the sun, the pool and the spa while keeping a watch full eye on the kids. The unit has a great floor plan. The spacious living/dining room accomodates large groups while the two balconies provide quieter settings. Both balconies have patio furniture so one can see the kids at the pool or watch them play basketball or tennis. The bedrooms are spaced so that everyone enjoys a good nights sleep.

Why the Owner Chose Silver Shells
I fell in love with Silver Shells the moment I stepped through the unit's front door. The lush greenery, the beautiful Destin water and the huge lagoon pool made me feel like was on a tropical island. I have never lost the excitment of stepping through the door. Located on the 6th floor, the views are perfect whether standing in the kitchen, eating in the dining room or resting in the master bedroom or in the living room. I visit the beach for its beauty and tranquility and I have never been disappointed.
I love the idea that the kids can eat at the Tiki bar, walk to the Back Porch Restaurant, Gratzies or Ruth Chris. I can enjoy my vacation because everyone in my group can do what they want and feel safe and at the same time.

This Silver Shells Property is a great place to stay. The view is great and the location near the pool and beach are perfect. You are in the middle of the entire complex. It is beautifully decorated and yet comfortable. The unit is large so it can accomodate a nice size group. The two balconies are nice since you have two different views one of the pool and the other of the tennis courts. I hope to stay here for many years to come.

This condo was beautiful and the view from the deck was amazing. It overlooks the beautiful pool and the ocean! There was plenty of room for all 5 of us. The staff at the resort were so nice and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is that you bring beach chairs. There were none provided by the condo owner and you have to rent them from the resort. The cost is $25 for 2 chairs all day. That wasn't so bad, but they kicked us out of the chairs at 4:30 every day and one of our favorite parts was sitting on the beach and watching the sunset. Other than that, I can't find anything else to complain about. We had a great vacation.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
