Convento di Novole
THE HOUSE:
Reminiscent of a countryside hamlet, Novole is comprised of two separate cottages and the main house (farmhouse). The property dates from 1400, when it was a Franciscan convent. From 1800, it was used as a farm, and from 1960, an agritourism. In keeping with the original style and atmosphere, we have recently renovated the agritourism, making it the perfect retreat for couples and families.
The farmhouse has two floor. On the first floor there is a kitchen and an ample living area with stone walls, a big fireplace, and an amazing dinner area. On the second floor there is a bedroom with double-size bed and private bathroom, three other bedrooms, two of which with single bed and one with double-size bed, one bathroom, and a sunny living area with a very old fireplace, armchairs, and TV. It is suitable for eight people. Outside of the villa there is a very big terrace with table, chairs, garden umbrella, and deck chairs. The farmhouse is approximately 250 qm and has eight rooms and two bathrooms.
The chapel (sleeps four people in two single beds and one double) with its original stone walls and rose window facade, has a pleasant kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Above the comfortable living area, which can be converted to sleep two people, the charming loft with double-size bed serves as the main bedroom.
The chapel is approximately 60 qm and has two rooms and bathroom.
The cottage (sleeps two in double-size bed) has a large and sunny kitchen/ dining area on the first floor. On the second floor, a bathroom with shower and on the mezzanine, a sitting area with fireplace. Above which, there is a loft with a double-size bed. The cottage offers stunning views of the valley from its cobblestone court yard, the perfect place to read, eat breakfast, or dine at sunset.The cottage is approximately 40 qm and has two rooms and bathroom.
SURROUNDING:
* The farmhouse Convento di Novole is nestled in the green hills on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, the perfect location for visiting the historic towns of the two regions.
EXTRA INFORMATION:
* We are open all year round. We let cottages by the week (Saturday to Saturday), however, in some periods, we let cottages for weekend stays.
* We provide all cottages with cooking utensils, kettle, linen, glasses, cutlery etc; private parking available.
* Each cottage has privacy and has its own patio, with table and sun chairs; each cottage has central wood heating and gas ovens.
* We produce a small quantity of red wine and olive oil, and we grow our own vegetables, all of which guests can purchase.
* Babysitting can be arranged in summer.
* Pets are welcome at Novole.
* Rental prices for one week ( about 400 EURO); period of January 2006 to December 2006.
* Extra - wood and central heating.
