Location: Waialua, North Shore Oahu, Oahu, Hawaii, USA (North Shore-30 miles from Honolulu International Airport) View Map
Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4)
Keywords: Condominium
Our upscale condominium offers an unobstructed, 180 degree view of Oahu’s spectacular North Shore. Enjoy the dramatic view extending from Waimea Bay and the historic surf town of Haleiwa at one end, to the picturesque beach where Lost was filmed on the other.
Unlike some rentals with ocean "views" or beach "access", our condominium is literally right on the white sandy beach. The sounds of the surf outside the master bedroom will lull you to sleep at night.
This condo is in one of the most prestigious developments on the North Shore. There are only forty five units in this quiet, five-story building. Our unit, on the fourth floor, affords spectacular views of the beach just a few steps away.
As a consequence, please note that rentals are for a thirty day minimum. We do not make exceptions.
Our development is extremely private, quiet and secure. Entry is through keyed lobbies or through the covered, gated parking structure with your own reserved stall. Two elevators service the single building. Building amenities include swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and oceanfront gym.
Our rental is comfortably furnished with everything you will need to make your vacation relaxing. It is a sizable 1,400 square feet and has two bedrooms, each connected to a full bath. One bedroom has a king size bed, the other a double.
Furnishings are high quality island-style. Cabinets are made of luxurious koa wood. Flooring is a combination of gorgeous South American travertine and wall-to-wall carpet.
There is a fully-equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. The 40 inch LCD high-definition flat screen television is attached to a surround sound audio system. Bring your laptop; the condo is configured for either wired or wireless Internet access. An ink-jet printer is provided should you need one. Our Internet-based phone provides free, unlimited telephone calls to anywhere in the United States.
High quality linens are provided. Also available are snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, a picnic basket and cooler, beach towels, board games and an eclectic book collection.
There is a sizable lanai (over 150 square feet) where you can enjoy romantic sunrises and sunsets. The view is perpetually engaging with changing colors, humpback whales in the winter and turtles year-round. We frequently dine on the lanai or simply enjoy a leisurely glass of wine.
The location is nothing less than stunning. Waialua is a quiet, rural community on Oahu’s fabled North Shore, just three miles from the restaurants and shops of Haleiwa. You have seen this area portrayed in a number of movies and television shows, most recently "Lost". If you are ambitious enough, you could walk four to five miles down the unobstructed beach and find yourself where the iconic scenes from this award-winning show were filmed.
Our condominium is also just minutes from the world’s most famous surf spots including Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and Pipeline. From our lanai in the winter, you can view sensational tow-in surfing beyond the reef protecting our beach.
Waialua beach, and it’s clean white sand, is known for having protected waters and exceptional snorkeling. It is rarely crowded. During early morning walks, your footsteps will frequently be the only ones in the sand.
For visitors looking for other types of outdoor activities, there is abundant hiking, horseback riding, wind and kite surfing and tennis opportunities. A paved jogging and bike riding trail is two blocks away.
Golfers can enjoy over 25 courses within a thirty mile radius. These include resort courses like Turtle Bay and Ko Olina, famed for PGA, LGPA and Senior Tour events.
Looking for something more exotic? International polo is played just a few miles away. Skydiving lessons are provided down the road at Dillingham Airport.
Within forty five minutes are cultural and historic highlights like the Arizona Memorial, Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Approximately equidistant are Honolulu International Airport, downtown Honolulu and the energy of famed Waikiki Beach.
Our building is principally comprised of quiet, thoughtful owner-occupants and we stay here ourselves whenever we can. We care about our neighbors and respect their choice of this wonderful area as a tranquil home. If you are looking for a place for riotous partying and late-night revelry, please look elsewhere.
There is no smoking or pets allowed in either our rental unit or on the lanai.

Why the Owner Chose Waialua
This property provides what we consider to be a blend of the best Oahu's north shore has to offer. Waialua is a quiet rural area and is removed from Kamehameha Highway which can be, at times, congested and noisy. Despite the "sleepy town" nature of the area, this building was constructed with the highest quality materials during a unique time when oceanfront condominiums were allowed to be built on the north shore. This is no longer the case, which makes this property truly unique.
Owner's Map of Waialua
Owned by a professional couple living in Honolulu. We take great pride in our condo and we manage, clean and care for it ourselves. Unless we are out of town, we are generally available in the event of any problems.

If you're looking for a place to swim with the turtles, enjoy beautiful sunsets and escape the crowds of tourists, this is it! My husband and I have enjoyed this lovely condo several years running, and have no reservations about recommending it to others who are looking for a quiet place to call home for an extended stay (we stayed for 2 months, although the min. is just 1 month). The spic and span unit is fully kitted out. From beach towels and snorkels (great snorkeling) to Internet and shampoo, just bring yourselves and relax. The residents of the building are very friendly but laid back. This is not a party spot, although you're apt to meet a neighbor down at the BBQ or around the pool. Outside the pool is a lovely treed lawn area complete with an outdoor shower and then it's just through the gate to the beach. This is an especially nice combination. Swim. Sunbathe. Then retreat to the grassy shade for a good read and a cold drink! (Cooler's provided.) There's a full-service Foodland supermarket in Haleiwa, just past 3-Tables (another great snorkeling spot) and the fire station. In Haleiwa, skip McDonalds and head to Mackey's Shrimp Truck at Weed Circle. Yummm! For shave ice, stop at Aoki's for a melt-in-your-mouth treat without the long line at Matsumoto's. Haleiwa Joe's is a casual dining treat with harbor views. If it's adventure you're after, head for Dillingham Airfield and try a glider ride. "Lost" was filmed here and, although their wrecked plane is now long gone, you can still watch weekend polo matches. But most of the time we were quite content to make pina coladas and pupus to ejoy as we sat on "our" lanai watching the beautiful sunsets. Ahhhh... The owners are a delightful couple who answer e-mails promptly and bent over backwards to make our stays marvelous in every way. The only problem was that our stays always ended too quickly!

My wife and I stayed at the Service's condominium for one month in 2010. We were expecting something above the norm. This property is way above anything we'd hoped for. The art on the walls, the furniture, cleanliness, design and decor, all exquisite. The master bedroom suite alone was worth the trip. Oops, I forgot about the astounding view from the lanai. The owners are helpful and friendly. We'd lived in Honolulu when I was stationed at Schofield Barracks and have returned many times. Our advice is to stay on the North Shore of Oahu and drive to Waikiki. Waialua has miles of tranquil beach, is quiet, has access to Haleiwa in a few minutes, huge surf breaks in fifteen and Honolulu in forty. Don't think twice, this place is perfect. There's a lunch truck by the sugar mill that serves Thai plate lunches. It doesn't look like much but the food is great. Also, don't miss the Waialua Farmer's Market on Saturdays.
Owner response:Mark - So glad you enjoyed your stay so much. We hope you are doing well and look forward to seeing you again someday. Your box of Waialua sunshine to brighten up those Minnesota winters is on it's way.
