My husband and I love the serenity of the water especially at Sandbridge. When we come here we feel as if we have gotten away to some tropical place.
We want our guests to experience the peace and relaxation that we do here. Watching the sunsets at the end of the day are the best forms of therapy out there. That is why we posted a picture of one of them. The colors are forever changing and just glow brilliantly.
This makes the trip worth it all!
Why the Owner Chose Virginia Beach
This is an amazing location between these two bodies of water. We love walking over to the mighty ocean and then coming back to our own private retreat right on the bay. Many times the ocean is roaring and the bay is calm. Other times the ocean is more calm and the bay is churning. Just to experience these two forces is incredible. We feel we have the best view of all and many of our renters tell us the same thing. Many of them come back each year.
We are located within Outdoor Resorts. You can go to their website on line and find more information as well as directions. Just type in Outdoor Resorts and click on the link for Virginia Beach. It is a very well kept, quiet and family friendly resort.
The Unique Benefits of this Mobile Home
To listen to the sound of the water while watching the sunset is the ultimate means of relaxation.
When inside you can look out any window from the unit and see the water. We love watching the fish jump. Even the evenings to lay out on the hammock and look up at the night sky and see the stars is awesome. We've even had some of our renters sleep out on the hammock because it is so peaceful.
Sandbridge is not a crowded touristy beach place. You can get away from it all out here. The wildlife refuge with the trails just down from the resort offers a back to nature time. This is a little private get-away that not many know about yet keeps those who find out about it coming back each time. You'll be blessed to find this little place.

What a blessing to find this lovely, quiet resort home right on the Bay! It is absolutely as represented, and as shown in the photos. We (two of us) stayed four nights, and in spite of overcast, rain, and RAIN, we really had a good time. The Bay was quiet on Friday morning and we put our kayaks right in from the edge of the yard and had a nice long paddle all over the place, and then up and down the resort's channels, just looking at everything. Before the rain Sunday morning, with some trepidation, we took the lighter kayak to the beach and tried out our luck. That was exciting! We had never done anything like that before and we both got dumped once, but hey, it was fun. No sun, but the water wasn't cold and the waves were plenty high enough. It rained all day Friday, but we took the tram tour of False Cape State Park, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, and learned SO much, and I was mighty glad we didn't set out to do all that on foot! One afternoon we went to the Virginia Aquarium for an amazing experience, which we would not have had, if the sun had been shining for us. My friend used the grill to cook steaks one night and hamburgers another. So nice to have the full kitchen, and we used the dishes there and no paper products at all. It was just such a lovely "home away from home" for us! The Bay is absolutely beautiful from here, no matter what the weather. I love, love, LOVE the peaceful, quiet, soothing atmosphere! My friend slept on the futon in the sun room, and goodness, it seems like you are right on the edge of the water. We used the citronella candles some, and insect repellant (for me), and got hardly any mosquito bites, thankfully. We tried to observe all the operating instructions and felt they were clear and helpful. The resort's pools and hot tub were still open, which we thought was great, but we didn't use them due to the weather. The bath house restrooms and shower are really large and very clean, and so was the laundry facility, and we used these. It was great to be in a gated community where we could leave our kayaks at our place and not have to worry about them. The beach is a short block from the resort entrance, and, this being the off season, we were able to drive and park right next to the beach entrance -- how awesome is that?! The owners were very prompt and thoughtful in their email communications with us, and I would recommend their lovely RV to anyone! Oh -- try their fav restaurant, Margie & Ray's, you'll be glad!

Don't want to put it down completely this resort has a awesome view but that's about it. We stayed here summer of 2010 after a week in DC. The owner does not maintain this property very well. First sight we were very pleased that was until sunlight hit & we seen that the outside of the trailer was infested with spiders & other insects. It took me half a day to knock down all the webs & nest so that we could sit outside and enjoy the awesome view. After a day we had ants inside & by the last day the air was frozen up when it was 100 degree outside. Don't regret it but would not stay in this unit again. If u dear be sure & take bug spray.
Owner response:As the owner I apologize to Kim and her family. She didnt let me know of any of these problems. My husband and I had been away for a medical problem and had dear friends helping to maintain our rental while we were away. THey did the best they could. As for the ants and other insects...it is right on the water and with that you have to contend with insects. We do keep some bug spray down there and remind our renters to bring some. We also have on an info. sheet to keep all foods in the frig. so not to attract the ants. As for the a.c. unit freezing up we have a note near the thermostat reminding our guests that while they run the unit to also run the fan on high which is the fan on the unit. This keeps the unit from freezing up. These problems probably could have been prevented had Kim and her family heeded what we advised. Hopefully most will read the positive comments and see that this is truly a wonderful place with so much to offer that is if you like the water.

This is a great place to stay , you can relax on the dock of the bay or walk to the ocean. Located close to the pool, hot tub and fitness center. It is a short walk up the beach to the fishing pier and a very short bike ride to the wildlife at False Cape State Park. The nicest people you could ask for to rent from too!

We pulled into the site right at Sunset and were immediately "wowed". Quaint camper set on the perfect spot on the back back. Just steps from the door is the deep blue water way. If you don't have your own canoe or kayak, be sure to rent one... a shop down the road will deliver and pick up boats and bikes for free. From inside the camper looking out the sunroom, the view seemed like we were on a house boat A bit crowded for our family of four since we overpacked... didn't know what the October weather would be so we brought everything from swimsuits to hats and gloves. We used the hot tub, walked the beach and splashed in the cold waves, road bikes out to the State Park and enjoyed the hammock. Good selection of items (pots, pans) in the kitchen. Full sized refridgerator. 3 Double beds. 2 TV's with great selection of channels. Even a stereo with CD. We mostly showered in the nearby bathhouse which was kept clean and spacious.

We were comfortable and close to Back Bay NWR and False Cape, both worth a visit if you like the natural world. We could bike around and kayak right out into the bay from this well-kept RV resort just across the street from the beach. We certainly recommend it. We liked Margie and Ray's restaurant on Sandbridge Road.
