Our cottage sits on a 6 acre lot with 135 feet of private waterfront. The lot is in a natural state with a gentle slope to a 15 foot bluff at the water. There are waterfront decks with stairs to the rock beach . The swimming is good for adults, with the beach dropping off quickly.
We have a mooring buoy offshore for boats. The area is a peaceful setting which abounds with natural beauty from resident deer, to bald eagles, seals and sealions, and 100s of different types of birds, not to mention the occasional whales sometimes only yards offshore.
The area is beautiful with countless numbers of beaches within walking distance or a short drive away. And world famous Rathtrevor beach is just around the corner. The opportunities to explore and see something new every day is endless. And with the best southwest exposure you could dream of, the sun shines all day on our property and the sunsets take your breath away!
It is such a peaceful and friendly neighborhood. And, if you choose to go shopping, North Nanaimo is only a 10 minute drive away, and Parksville is just around the corner. A short drive up the highway will also bring you to some other interesting towns to explore such as Coombs and Qualicum Beach.
There are many different golf courses in the area for all levels of golfers, with the beautiful Fairwinds course only 5 minutes down the road.
Some steep cliffs, children shoud be supervised at all times.
