We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities and location of this apartment. We have a baby and the house came equipped with crib and high chair. The balcony was a lovely place to sit and relax before starting the day. The apartment is only 1/2 block to the ocean! It was really nice to be able to do laundry in the washer provided and then hang clothes on the line to dry. The kitchen was small , but came well equipped with everything to make a meal. The owner of the apartment was extremely helpful and answered emails very promptly. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. We would love to return someday!

My husband, 6 year old and I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about our family holiday at San Terenzo. Beautiful beach was a step away(literally) and the town was ABSOLUTELY divine. Experience rustic coastal local Italian living in a GREAT Medieval Italian coastal beach town. We hope to come back one day soon.

We stayed in this apartment as a stop during our honeymoon. It was centrally located and all the necessary amenities were there (towels, toilet paper, dish soap). It had a stove, fridge and microwave. We cooked a meal at home but restaurants everywhere. We recommend Straluna. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment and would recommend it to friends and family. This is a traditional italian apartment and you are immersed in the culture.

In May our family enjoyed a week in these terrific apartments. We enjoyed making dinners at home. The kitchen was small but adequate for six of us. Markets are nearby for all the fresh ingredients you need. Our adult children stayed in the upper unit and my husband and I in the studio below. We would meet for coffee on the rooftop terrace overlooking the sea and again for wine at sunset. The apartments were clean and comfortable with lovely views. The location was great--quiet and charming but close to the main street. We look forward to returning to Riomaggiore and to renting these units again. It was the perfect location for our family and we loved working with the owner.

We stayed in Apt A - the upper levels of the house. The rooftop deck was the perfect location for afternoon antipasti, sunbathing and watching the sunset. The location was ideal for exploring the Cinque Terra. The kitchen was minimally stocked and cooking a meal for 4 was difficult. There is no stove and the fridge is tiny. The stairs between levels are quite steep, so anyone with mobility issues should be forewarned.

We anticipated renting a small house in Riomiggore. What we ended up renting was a two room apartment. One room contained two cots placed together to make one bed, with a kitchen table, 2 burner stove (no oven) and a small refrigerator. The 2nd room was a small bathroom. That would probably have been of no consequence but what was bothersome was that the room was not prepared for our arrival. We arrived about 8:30 at night and it was near freezing temperature. The room had not been heated. We had to figure out how to turn on an Italian water heater in order to get the radiators to work and for hot water in the bathroom. No basic amenities were supplied. There was no soap (other than dish soap) in the bathrooms, no hair dryer, 2 lightbulbs were burnt out (and no replacements could be found), and 2 very old, threadworn towels were provided. It took me 3 days to find an Italian hair dryer in the town. We left this behind for the next guests. I would have anticipated a warm room, decent towels, and a least a small bar of soap and small shampoo so that guests could take a shower when the arrived and delay shopping until the next day. We also had an opportunity to speak with other travelers and found that others were paying less for a hotel room with maid service, and larger spaces.

I don’t have to think twice before renting again and can’t wait to go back to these stunning locations and these particular apartments. Fortunately my family will have the opportunity to return to the Cinque Terre area in late summer so we are checking on availability with Italian Riviera Rentals before other rentals. My family and I rented each of the apartments in Riomaggiore (A, B and C) and early this year and had a wonderful experience. I was taken aback by the recent negative comment I read on VRBO and have to disagree. I think that the people did not read the amenities part on both the websites for these properties. All of the accommodations were exactly like the descriptions. Perhaps this commenter does not understand “typical vertical Ligurian house built in 1690” or the photos of each room in each apartment?!!!! If you need a bellboy and concierge stay in a hotel, not a piece of history. I thought the towels were just fine! Anyways, in Riomaggiore we enjoyed the location of the apartment. It has stunning views, easy access to the marina, train station, hiking trails, shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend these properties and are hoping to stay there again when we return later this year.

My wife and I stayed at the Cinque Terre Treasure apartment ST (San Terenzo) for 4 nights. We found the second story apartment to be clean, sunny, spacious and quiet. It is located a very short walk from the public beach and was well supplied with beach toys, towels and cushions. The apartment includes a master bedroom, kitchen/dining area with balcony, bath and a living room with sleeper sofa. The apartment could easily accomodate two couples or a family. San Terenzo is a very picturesque little town with a castle gracing the waterfront, mirrored by the castle in Lerici further down the gulf. Many excellent restuarants are within walking distance as are a grocery store, bakery, coffee bars, pharmacy and bus stop. We used San Terenzo as our hopping off place for Pisa, Florence and the Cinque Terre. Since we didn't have a car we took the bus to La Spezia where we hopped on the train. One can also take the ocean ferry (depending on sea conditions) from Lerici (five minutes away by bus) to the Cinque Terre. We had a great stay and would happily recommend the apartment to other vacationers.

We stayed in Apartment A (sleeps 5) and Apartment B (sleeps 2) with our family of 7 and really enjoyed it. The apartments are cozy, and the top floor of Apartment A has a beautiful rooftop terrace and a view of the village and the sea. We spent many breakfasts and dinners up here. Riomaggiore is a small village, so everything is within walking distance. We parked our car in the public lot (about a five minute walk from the apartments), and didn't use it at all during our four day stay. The Cinque Terre hike is a five minute walk away, as is the train station. Riomaggiore has great restaurants (Il Grottino was our favorite), lots of little grocery stores, bars, ice cream shops, bakeries, etc. The kitchens are well stocked, so we had everything we needed for cooking and eating in, too. All of the information on the website and on the VRBO site is accurate. We'd highly recommend this place! It's full of charm, the owner took good care of us before and during our stay, and there's no better way to experience the village.

I stayed in this property last July. My husband and I stayed in one room and the rest of the family in the other part of the house. The property is centrally located in Riomaggiore. You can step out of your room and enjoy all the restaurants, stores, and beautiful hikes. The sea is at walking distance and the apartment really reflects the beautiful architecture of the area. The studio apartment had everything you needed for a comfortable staying. The kitchenette was well equipped with utensils and dishes. The bathroom was clean and newly remodeled. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be comfortably immersed in the heart of Cinque Terre.

I stayed in the top apartment with my family in July 2010 and it is a great place. The house was clean, in a great location, and the rooftop deck has an amazing view! It was so nice to just wake up and walk out the door to explore the Cinque Terre area!
