Just Dune It! City slickers got the itch to get out of town? Just an hour-and-a-half drive from Chicago, Michigan's Harbor County country is a treasure trove of shabby chic shops, tree-shaded paths, white sand beaches and heavenly restaurants. Just a short walk to soak up the sunshine or watch the sunset at Stop 38 beach.
This cottage is a classic brown log cottage in the woods. Very private and tucked away on a one-block lane in Michiana. Field stone fireplace, hardwood floors, two screened porches, fabulous cook's kitchen fully stocked (except the food).
Master bedroom with full bath, bunk room with two bunk beds and one twin. Open loft with queen futon. Extra sleeping on sofa and futon in front of fireplace. It does not get better than breakfast, lunch or dinner on the back porch over looking a peaceful landscaped yard. After dinner start a campfire in the fire pit and make smores!
Need more action? Head to New Buffalo, Three Oaks, Union Pier, and Lakeside to enjoy many casual or fine savory restaurants.
