Relax while watching the captivating ocean breakers and beautiful sunset from the comfortable living room or deck after a long walk on one of Oregon's especially long sandy beaches, at six miles length, or a day spent sight-seeing or playing a game of golf. Our house is a comfortable retreat for a couple, two couples, or a small family.
Our tastefully decorated, well-kept, and inviting house is located across from the south end of Patterson Park near a quiet sandy beach on the Central Oregon Coast a few minutes south of Waldport, known for crabbing and its fabulous video rental store. Just six miles south is the charming village of Yachats, with the 804 Trail along the rocky shoreline, quality gift shops, coffee shops, art galleries, and restaurants with live music.
The fully equipped, well stocked kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, coffee grinder, stove-top espresso pot, and spices. The living room/dining room features a stellar ocean view, a woodburning fireplace, Cable TV, VCR/DVD player, CD/iPod player, comfortable sofa, 2 recliner chairs, and a diverse selection of books and games.
Oceanview master bedroom, with King-size bed, features a TV/VCR, and CD player. The second, smaller bedroom, has a Queen bed. Our beds have high quality pillow-top mattresses with soft luxurious sheets, quilts, and a selection of pillows. The large Trex deck is a special place to enjoy the fresh ocean air, beautiful ocean view, sky, and the pine trees. With easy access to the dining area and kitchen, adjacent to the deck, is the BBQ grill area.

In Newport, 25 minutes north, enjoy whale watching or deep-sea fishing trips, live theatre, The Oregon Coast Aquarium, shopping or dining. Spectacular Cape Perpetua, with its rocky shoreline, large waves, tidepools and trails is 10 minutes south.

Why the Owner Chose Waldport
The beach between Waldport and Yachats is one of the rare, long sandy beaches
in an area with few large hotels. We enjoy taking long walks on the beach with
few people on the beach.
We also enjoy watching wildlife: bald eagles, deer, pelicans, sea gulls,
whales who live in the area during summer and feed just past the surf!
The ever-changing sky, shore pine trees, and grassy meadow are so beautiful
with our immense ocean view: a rare vista for coast homes.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your house. We had a great time and couldn't have asked for better weather. The kids loved playing at the beach and our son really enjoyed the toy cars you have. Our kids crashed at 6:30 PM on Saturday night and it was so nice to watch the sunset and read a book and drink a good beer! We really enjoy visiting Waldport and we hope to stay at your house again. We really loooove your king size bed! It is very comfortable.

You must feel like 'angels of mercy' for providing this lovely spot for so many people needing a respite. Thank you! We had one day of beautiful weather. Rick got some 'string time' with his kite. The sea was calm, and I enjoyed walking the beach. BIG winds on Tuesday...we'd rather stay snuggled-in than brave the roads. This is one of the best equipped vacation homes we've stayed in. We so appreciated the great king-size bed, and all the other 'extras' like cutting boards, blankets, reading lights, etc... The view is wonderful too! We will be back.....

We are loving our stay here and your house is soooo cozy! We have tried to walk a lot on the beach and even walked once to Waldport and back. Two wonderful weeks by sea. While our dear family and friends dealt with 100 degree days, we were enjoying sunny 60's! Just gorgeous weather for 12 of the 14 days. The beach is just perfect for our daily walk with the freshest air anywhere. This beach house is so cozy and comfortable. We thank you for sharing it with us. Hopefully we can come back again!

The week went by so fast! We had a great time exploring the Oregon Coast with Mike and Betsy and boys. I think we 'did it all'. We appreciated our wonderful accommodations here at your beautiful place. Having our cabin in MN, we know it takes a lot of upkeep. You have it all organized so well. As I am writing, the whales are spouting quite close--at least 3 of them. The dune buggy ride (at Florence) just about did me in, but it will be a lasting memory for the boys! We enjoyed crab for our last evening meal and then headed to the beach for a fire while Mike and Betsy slipped away for an anniversary dessert at The Adobe. It was all great!! Thanks again for your generous hospitality.

We have had a great time at your home and at the coast this week! We had a couple of gorgeous, sunny days where I have basked in the sun on the beach while reading a good book (my perfect vacation!) while our girls played and played and played for hours. They couldn't get enough of the beach and the ocean. We broke away a couple of times to visit The Oregon Coast Aquarium (shark week!) and The Sea Lion Caves. Our week couldn't have been more relaxing, interesting, and comfortable. I feel like I'm home here--thanks for creating such a comfortable and cozy place--and for sharing it with so many grateful people! We watched whales for quite a while one morning--I think it is the first time I've seen whales while staying at your house. It was fun to show them to with the girls. We also really enjoyed finding the grassmat in the closet! It came in very handy during my moments of basking and reading. We also can't get over how comfortable your beds are! You know you are having a good vacation when you wake up feeling like you've been sleeping on a cloud. Until next time....
