Just stayed at the house for a week. The owner asked me to write a review because apparently someone had made some negative comments about the pool and hot tub. Both worked perfectly during our stay, hot tub was hot, pool was toasty. By the way, the house is terrific. Very comfortable, everything top of the line - like staying at an expensive hotel. Location was great- right across from the beach, and very close to the marina at South Beach.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Spent spring break week recently. Generally clean and decently maintained with the exception of pool and hot tub. The separate hot tub was inoperable and not clean. Pool heat was sketchy at best-set at 85 deg but could only muster b/w 75-80 deg. May be a decent rental for the summer if pool heat is not needed. This was our 6th visit to HHI & Sea Pines over spring break and I would not stay at this place again. There are better places to stay nearby!
Owner response:This is what renter Emailed me when he first arrived: "Moved in this afternoon and place is generally in good condition; however, spa is broken and parts to fix may be here Tues. Secondly, pool is only up to 82 deg and is set at 88 deg." The electric heater for the spa was broken and has been replaced with a brand new heater. The pool heat was never in the 75-80 range as can be seen by renters own words above. However, freon was added to the pool heat pump and now it is at its target temperature of 85 degrees. Renter was looking for a substantial rental reduction and threatened to write a bad review if he didn't get it.
