  Thank you for allowing me and my friends to stay at your fabulous house over Memorial Day weekend. Not only was it a Holiday it was also my Birthday and having such a cozy place to for all us to stay really made it extra memorable. There was plenty of room for all 16. The views from the windows and deck were breath taking. It was so relaxing in the morning to sit on the deck with a cup of coffee enjoying the view of snow still on the mountains. Thank you again and we definitely recommend your home to all of our friends and us course for our future trips to Breck.

  We had an awesome time staying at the baldy mountain retreat. We loved everything about it. The garage, the views, the bedrooms, spa, game room, the cleaning ness of the house. there were 13 of us staying over during our first trip to Colorado and we are already talking about coming back next year. the people in Breckenridge were so friendly , everything was just so wonderful. this is one of the best ski trip vacations we ever had thanks to you and you will definitely hear from me again. we would love to come back and stay again.

  We had 2 families share this house and although there was ample room it truly looks like a rental home in need of some upkeep. The refrigerator freezes any food kept in the bottom crispers and doesn’t keep the food in the rest of the refrigerator at an acceptable temperature. They advertise an ice maker, but apparently that too is broken as the ice bin is just filled with ice packs! All of the appliances appear to be in need of replacement, the oven looks as though it has not been cleaned in quite some time. In the master bathroom, there are 2 shower heads; one does not put out hot water which sent me into a panic thinking there were still at least 5 people that had to take a shower and no hot water. Thankfully it was just that side of the shower. There are ample stains on the black couches which are very uninviting. There are also numerous stains on the carpet, one of which we got blamed for and as a result lost part of our deposit. The owners never bothered to contact us to ask if we knew anything about the stain, apparently just assumed we did it, then politely “thanked” us for trying to clean it up! The majority of the windows will not shut once they are open. There was even a note on one of the windows telling us not to open it so the owners know it’s an issue. The price of this house is ridiculous for what you get. We have rented from VRBO for 8 years and have pretty much had good luck until we ran into this house. We visit Breckenridge 1 – 2 times per year and will not consider this house for our future needs.

  Owner response: We are so sorry that all these things were a problem at the time of your stay. Unfortunately all of repair times and parts deliveries could be scheduled only after Labor Day. The windows are all now fully operational; the refrigerator is in perfect form, the ice maker works continuously; the couches and carpets have all been cleaned; the shower heads work and the ovens are back to their usual condition of “spotless.” We do not anticipate that any of this experience that you had will be a recurrence again.

  We stayed here to celebrate my dad's surprise 70th birthday. Although the place was big enough to hold all 15 of us (which was great), we had to deal with some inconveniences that we didn't feel we should have had to for the price we paid. The hot tub was empty when we got there, so we had to call and have someone out to fix that. Then the refrigerator did not work and we had to scramble to buy ice and coolers to keep the hundreds of dollars of food and drink cool for the weekend (our requests for service went unanswered). This was on top of the disappointment over the "KidZone". There were no CD's or DVDs or foosball table, as advertised. It was basically a cool couch, pool table and projector screen on a wall. I tried writing the owners after we returned with my concerns, and never heard a word. Nor did we receive any additional money refunded - only the security "deposit" which was charged to our credit card a month prior to going (rather than applied to what we owed) and then returned to us in the form of a check (again, inconvenient since we now have paid interest on the deposit). I have enjoyed every other VRBO experience I've had, but for this price, I would not rent from these owners again.

  Owner response: We are so sorry about what happened to these guests. We were unaware at the time that our 'trusted' manager was leaving the house in disrepair. We now have fixed everything and added many amenities and benefits and hired responsible staff to care for all parts of our homes. For example, the hot tub people are there before each guest arrives to be sure all is in top condition. There are pre-checks before each guest comes also to be sure all is well. Our cleaning staff is supreme . Thanks Jan Gordon owner
