We booked this home for 2 nights on MLK weekend and we're so glad we did. Many homes did not offer a 2 night minimum and luckily we found this on VRBO. All 12 of us arrived at exactly 5pm check in time and it was only a block away from the lake. Once inside, we were amazed at how beautiful it looked in person. THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE! All the rooms were beautifully decorated and it was even better than expected! The beds were extremely comfortable and the heated floors were a plus! There was so much for us to do-- go in the hot tub, play pool (there's a big one AND a small one), play foosball, go in the steam room, rode bikes (rain didn't start yet) to the lake and just have a great time with friends enjoying the view of the lake. There was never a dull moment. It only took us less than 10 minutes to get to Boreal for snowboarding. The price was so reasonable for such a great home. Thank you Jill, and we will definitely stay here again in the future!

My family had our Labor Day plans changed at the last minute, and we need to rush to make new ones. Lucky enough for us this home in Truckee on Donner lake was avalible. This home was perfect for a big get together and that is what we had. We had 12 people stay for the long weekend and it could not have been more perfect. This home is perfect in way more than the pictures can show. The deck is perfect for barbaques and a cup of coffee or glass of wine with a nice view of the lake. The game room down stairs with the two beds pool table and big screen TV on the wall was the perfect for our boys who did not want to leave it! This house has it all, just bring food and drink and one is set for a great stay. Jill and her husband were great to deal with and made this reservation happen on a last minute time line. We hope to go back and stay for a week sometime because this place is a true gem!!

This place is incredible. Wonderfully decorated without being fussy. The new game room with pool table and big screen TV kept the teens happy and the grownups competitively laughing the whole weekend. The big room and kitchen were wonderful places to gather and appreciate the lake view...and the three main bedrooms on the main floor made it so easy for the less agile in our group to feel comfortable and get around easily. We keep coming back.

Vacation in style at a well furnished and decorated lake view home. This is a newer property with all the necessary amenities. Ample sleeping arrangements, heated floors, steam shower, recreational equipment for the lake, modernized kitchen, spacious family room with spectacular view of the lake, and many other perks can be enjoyed. The pictures almost understate the property's great style. Easy access to the lakeshore and nearby ski resorts. We have stayed several times at this home, and plan to repeat again.

This is our third time staying here. The house is located on a dead end street which is nice. All you have to bring is your own groceries. This is what my son said: We hit a home run when we found this place. By the way, this was the first place we look at. We will be back. Jill and Ron are great owner and always available to help if need be.

I can not say enough positive things about this beautiful home. It far exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I celebrated my 40th birthday with a bunch of girlfriends and we had a fabulous time! The location is ideal for anytime of the year. It is a 1/2 block from the Donner Lake and minutes from many ski resorts, and has a beautiful view. The downtown area of Truckee is about 10 minutes away and has great food, shopping and nightlife. This home is beautifully furnished and has a wonderful, fully stocked kitchen. I can't wait to go back!

Ohhhh we cannot say enough about this wonderful home! We almost didn't want to comment because we don't want it to fill up and not be available for us to stay there again. It is truly and amazing home at Donner Lake. The house itself it beautiful and immaculate that felt more like a 5 star resort than a rented property. The view was fabulous from the big deck. The kitchen very well appointed. There is just no detail left out! If you decide to rent this home, please take good care of it! I don't want anything to keep the owners from allowing other to enjoy their gorgeous home in the future! We'll definitely stay there again.

A wonderful family friendly rental! This house is very comfortable for adults, with a fun kitchen and great room to support group cooking and socializing. Great for at least two families to enjoy time together. A really great value away from hectic North or South Shore. Donner Lake is great location!
