We really enjoyed the Pono Kai! The complex was clean and very welcoming for a family. And just in front of the amazing paved bikepath. The view on the lanai was awesome. The condo was clean and big enough. We had everything we need...except good boogie boards. I really recommend it. You won't find such a great view for the price!

Just a quick note to let you know that we very much enjoyed our stay at Pono Kai. The view from you unit is breathtaking! We were also very impressed by the number of amenities that your unit provided, especially in the kitchen - you had everything we needed. Thank you again for a great stay. We have fallen in love with Kauai!

This condo is ideally situated in the Pono Kai Resort, away from the main highway and close to the ocean (and bike path), so it is quiet and provides a great ocean view. Even though the resort is older, it is clean and well maintained. This resort is probably the best value on the island. It is close to the airport, and withing walking distance to several restaurants. The main grocery stores are a short drive away so it is easy to get stocked up on food. This unit is well maintained and has everything needed for a week long stay. The only issue we had is that the pillows smelled a little musty. This area of Kauai is very humid and this appears to be the reason for the pillows being musty. Note that this unit does NOT have air conditioning. Many of the units in the complex have been upgraded with air conditioning. But just open the windows, turn on the fans and the condo cools off quickly.

Mike and I would like to thank you for sharing your wonderful condo with us. We had such a wonderful time. We called it home while we were there, and took good care of it. It is so hard to come back home and get in the swing of things again, especially here in Washington where the weather is still chilly and rainy. We just feel very fortunate and blessed that we were able to get away to such a beautiful place. Thanks again!
