Kiahuna Plantation is located at famous Poipu Beach, known for its warm sunny days and soft tropical breezes, on the beautiful Garden Isle of Kauai. Our guests can amble down the sidewalk lined with plumeria trees and bright bougainvillea to the white sandy beach where they will find complimentary beach chairs and towels at the Beach Hut. The Hut also has a variety of beach and equipment for rent or purchase. The beach is fronted by a sprawling, manicured lawn and palm trees for those who like to relax in the shade or on the sandy beach while watching the surfers, snorklers and swimmers. Poipu Beach was rated #1 by The Travel Channel in 2003 and has been chosen as one of the most beautiful beaches in America. We feel certain you will concur after strolling in the sand at sunrise, sunning in the afternoon, or enjoying a spectacular sunset at the beach!
Our plantation-style beach house #123 is on the top (third) floor of Building 18, which is located between the beach and the swimming pool/tennis courts. From the moment you open your front door you will enjoy the gentle cooling breezes and breathtaking views of the swaying palms, bright blue ocean and luxuriant landscaping--you can feel the everyday stresses begin to melt away immediately! A spacious lanai is furnished with table and chairs and two lounge chairs--a perfect place to relax and listen to the surf.
Step into your vacation home and you'll find an airy, spacious and very tastefully furnished condominium with views to complement. As you'll see in the attached photos, we've just completely remodeled using top line interiors including slab granite counters, travertine tile walk-in shower, bamboo flooring, and all new appliances, cabinetry, lighting, furniture and fixtures--and we invite you to enjoy them as you would your own home. You'll find a completely furnished kitchen where you can prepare anything from fresh papaya and coffee in the morning to fancy umbrella drinks and gourmet dinners to enjoy on your private lanai in the evening--this is, if you can stop treating yourselves to delicious choices at Poipu's many wonderful restaurants! Should you prefer, there are several gas BBQ grills on the property (fresh island fish on one of the grills by the lagoon is hard to beat!).
Once you're comfortably settled you will find a myriad of activities available to you. The Concierge at the Activities Desk is happy to assist with reservations for anything from dinner to helicopter tours, sunset cruises, tee times at one of many nearby (and famous!) golf courses, horseback rides or luaus--you name it and the Concierge can most likely arrange it for you.
There are a number of excellent restaurants in close proximity to Kiahuna Plantation, including our own Plantation Gardens, that are just a short walk from #123. You'll find a menu book located at the Front Desk.
We provide on-site management, staffed 24 hours a day. You will check in on-site, like a hotel, and will have the friendly staff available to assist you in any way they can.
