Nice place, clean and close to the Marina. My only complaint would be that there is absolutley no where to turn around with a truck and boat trailer. If you tow a boat, drop it at Star Point first. The end of that road is too steep to go up or down with a boat trailer and not drag.

Manager response: Dear Beth Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay at our home. We are very glad that you found the house clean and nice. We are sorry that it was difficult for you to maneuver your boat and trailer suffinetly on and around the property. We try very hard to accomidate our renters to the best of our ability, but sometimes it's not always possible. We are glad though that you found another option in keeping your boat available and ready to go at Star Point Marina. We thank you for choosing our home to vaction in and hope that you found it comfortable and accomidating to your needs while spending time indside and out with your party. We certainly appreciate you renting with us and hope you will again soon. Sincerly Ted and Sherry
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin this past weekend. The house was by far the best cabin I have ever stayed in. It was clean and fully loaded with everything we needed. As a mother of a child with asthma I was suprised that we found a place that didn't make my child sick. I noticed that there were covers on the bed and pillows. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Ted & Sherry, We wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for the wonderful place to stay on our recent getaway. The "Country Cottage" was well equipped and very cozy. There wasn't one thing that made us think, "I wish we had brought that". The proximity to the marina was great. We rented pontoon boats and took the boys 10 & 6 years old fishing, tubing, and swimming. Thye loved the clear, WARM water. WE had a blast. We will be in touch when we decide to vacation in that area again.

I just loved our stay at Ted & Sherry's Country Cottage. The home is so cozy & well equipped which made our stay that more relaxing. I loved the mornings as my sister & I would go out on the deck and enjoy our coffee. We would lose track of time because of the peaceful surroundings while we watched the deer roam on the property. When you go on vacation and you find yourself spending a lot of time relaxing in the home, then you know how special this home made us feel!! Thank you so much, I would definetly come back.

About: My Husband and I have been married for 40 years and have resided in Homestead FL for 38 years. We have three sons' who are married with families of their own. We have five grandchildren...4 girls and one boy. We especially enjoy getting together with all the family as often as possible. Our hobbies (especially the guys) consist of boating, fishing, sports...baseball/football. For myself, I enjoy reading, sewing and projects on the computer and of course we all enjoy watching our favorite TV programs. We always look forward to our next trip to vacation in our TN home.
My Husband Ted and I were looking into maybe retiring in a less populated area of the country. We decided to check out the state of Tennessee. Ted got on the computer and googled different areas of TN, preferably near a lake and found Dale Hollow Lake in North Central TN along the Kentucky border. We decided to take a trip out there and look around. We contacted a realtor in the area. Our first stop was Byrdstown TN to look at some homes in an area called Stair Point Village. It didn't take much looking around to find a place that had everything we could ever want in a home. The second house that we looked at, we fell in love with. We knew it was the one for us. Ted especially loved it because it was just 5 minutes from Dale Hollow Lake. We especially loved!! the huge wrap around deck...always wanted one. :) and we particularly loved the wooded surroundings with all the wildlife scurrying about...especially the deer. Love the deer!! We drove back home five days later to tell the family that we had just purchased a home in TN in beautiful Star Point Village near a gorgeous lake just a few minutes from the house. Their response 'You're kidding right?' We assured them we weren't. They were thrilled!!! Still are. :)
