Our family of 4 (2 adults, a 3 year old and 6 year old) had a wonderful week stay at Tropical Paradise. It was so relaxing to have everything we needed -- a fully equipped kitchen, all the beach stuff we could want, plus kid-friendly stuff like plastic cups, plates, a bed rail and even toys and books! Having a restaurant and full market right next door was really convenient, we hardly got in the car once we arrived. The whole family spent hours enjoying the beach and it was so easy for one of us to pop back to the house to make a picnic lunch or relax with a book on the deck. Nancy made us feel very welcome!

We rented this townhome for a girlfriend trip in October of 2011. It was exactly what we wanted: right on the beach with easy access. It also has three full bathrooms, ,which was great for women traveling together! It is very spacious. Every living space including bedrooms open onto a balcony that looks out over the ocean. The decor is delightful - very tasteful and beach oriented. It truly made our trip feel like a resort get away. Because it is on a private beach, their were only a few other people there and everyone that came by was very friendly. The owner, Nancy, was very helpful and provided everything that we needed to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We highly recommend this townhome - we'll back!

It has been 3 months since our family made the long drive from Manitoba, Canada all the way to beautiful Galveston~and we can't wait to come back!! Everything about our holiday was wonderful! When we first walked into your beach home, we were in awe of the space, cleanliness and beauty of the property and its location right in front of the beach. We had everything we needed and more. What we loved the best was the fact that it was so clean and felt like an actual home where we could relax and enjoy ourselves. The comfy living room was where we spent our evenings after a long day at the beautiful beach. The high-speed internet was great for our teens and all 3 well-stocked baths were highly appreciated. The store right next door couldn't have been more convenient and we were a short drive from town. I think the children's favorite part of the home was the outdoor shower! They loved getting all clean from the sand and salt water after a swim in the ocean. Thank-you so much Nancy for your patience and kindness when we were having issues with our postal system here in Canada. You made everything go so smoothly for us and we didn't have to worry one little bit about anything. It was so nice to meet you in person when we first arrived after our long drive. This was our second time staying in Tropical Paradise. Each time is better thanks to Brian and Nancy who are not only wonderful people but they have a uniqueness to them others you rent from don`t (THEY CARE), The home itself has everything that you could think of needing and not having to run out every time and buying. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the neighborhood is family and older oriented so there is QUIET!!! They think of everything from tp to beach chairs; boogie boards and shelters from the sun while on the beach. They always check in to see how you are doing and if you need anything without that intrusive feeling. You can hear the surf from the master bedroom and actually see the whites in the breaking waves without even getting out of bed. The porch swing on the ground level was a romantic touch! Along with us was our oldest daughter and son in law and 15 year old grandson and not to hear any complaints at all then you know this is definitely the place to stay. The only bad thing was having to leave. Brian and Nancy if our plans work out we will be needing the larger unit next year for bringing other family members! Until then I have nothing but wonderful memories and look forward to another vacation. May God bless and keep you until then.

Our son-in-law was not that excited about a "vacation" just 45 min. from their home, but ended up LOVING the stay so close to the beach! They enjoyed the beach so much more this way (than the "hassle" of just an afternoon beach trip from their home.) The owner was great to work with! Loved meeting Nancy! She had everything ready for us. The storage with chairs, beach toys, umbrellas for the beach were great. The grassy area in the back was perfect for some evening play as well. The highchair and pack and play came in very handy as well. My husband particularly loved the nice ocean view from the sofa and dining area. Loved the 3 full baths. The grandson loved all of the decorations of boats, birds, fish, etc. The master bed is a little soft and "squeaky", but it didn't stop a good sleep after a day of play. Loved the little store right "next door". It is well stocked! Since we visit Galveston frequently when visiting the kids, we just enjoyed the beach, the comfortable accommodations and each other. Perfect for us! The next time we plan a beach stay, we will consider the larger unit next door! Thanks!

First time at the beach!

Oh my goodness this was the best experience ever! My husband and I have twin girls with one of them being autistic. This was our very first family vacation and it was WONDERFUL! Nancy and Brian are a super nice couple who really went the extra mile to make us feel at home, comfortable, and welcomed. They accommodated all our needs and then some. They were never intrusive or bothersome. We had all the privacy we could have ever expected. It really was a home away from home, relaxing vacation. Our family made memories of a lifetime and we will make this a yearly vacation at their property. The pictures do not do this property justice!!!

Extended Weekend

This was a very nice condo that worked well into our budget. It's about a 15 min drive from the center of Galveston and about a 100 yd walk to a private beach that was almost empty while we were there (end of April 2011). The beds were comfy, a little soft for one of our friends but to each his own and it was very clean and updated. The owners were accommodating, providing us with a pack n play, beach chairs and umbrellas. The kitchen was stocked with all the cookware and utensils we needed. And it was nice being able to wash our dirty laundry before we left, one less thing to worry about after getting home. I would recommend to friends or family.

My daughters and I stayed for the month of December. We had a wonderful time. We arrived on my daughters sixteenth birthday and Nancy had Happy Birthday banners hung up. It was a wonderful surprise. The condo was clean and comfortable with everything that we needed for inside and out. I was concerned about being there with just my kids off-season, however I felt very safe. Nancy called to check in on us, However, she was neither overbearing nor intrusive. The view of the beach is wonderful ;you can hear the waves and the ocean is just a hop, skip and a jump away.The Foyes are wonderful people and I highly recommend staying with them.

Great location, 50 yards from beach, owners met us at check in and showed us everything. They even brought us some brownies. Wanted to stay longer... Will be back. Everything we needed was already there, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, grill etc... Thanks again for a great time. A+

What a great place to stay! The house was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Loved that it was such a short walk to the beach! Our boys had so much fun playing with all the beach toys that were provided. I also appreciate how accessible and responsive Nancy was through the rental process. She called or emailed me with answers to my questions in a very timely fashion. Made our experience very worthwhile! We will definitely stay here again!

This place was great! It's been a couple of weeks, and both my kids keep asking when we are going back to "our beach house". It was clean and very comfortable. Our boys loved playing on the beach and having their own room (we loved that, too). The owners were great, and we are looking forward to our next trip here. Having our own kitchen and space really made the trip more enjoyable. We loved the beach and enjoyed visiting Kemah & Moody Gardens.

Tropical Paradise

I and my friends rented their condos for a weekend. The last night my friends decided to shoot off fireworks that we had left over from the 4th of July to celebrate my friend’s birthday. For this reason the landlord found it appropriate to call the police (NO CITATIONS were issued by the police, NO POLICE REPORTS WERE FILED and the only complaint came from the LANDLORD). The landlord then evicted everyone from the condo in the middle of the night and decided to NOT REFUND OUR DEPOSIT. There was never a warning ever issued for this just her husband telling everyone to leave. The landlord said since “SHE DECIDED TO EVICT EVERYONE AT MIDNIGHT THAT SHE WAS GOING TO KEEP ALL OF THE DEPOSIT”. In addition to not refunding the deposit we incurred taxi cab fees as well as hotel expenses. This ruined our vacation and my friends birthday!

Owner response:This is part of the same group who rented our Townhome next door, and our response is similar. We treated these people with much more respect then they treated our home. Several neighbors called us, and the police, because the tenants were shooting fireworks off the decks onto adjacent homes, and were throwing chairs off the third floor deck. Upon entering, escorted by three Police Officers (Galveston and Jamaica Beach), we noticed a strong peculiar smoke smell in our non-smoking home. We evicted the tenants, and the police sent them away by cab, having determined that nobody in the group was fit to drive.

Our vacation was absolutely amazing. The owner was awesome with keeping in touch with me and catering to every need. The house was awesome, we couldn't believe our eyes at first. It was very clean and keep above par. It has a great view and is extremely spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and items needed to easily cook at the house. The private beach was also great because it was not crowded or obnoxious. The owner provided chairs, a grill, umbrellas, and kids toys to accommodate us. There is also a store in walking distance, it had everything we needed for meals and anything else we needed for the whole trip! We have already told them we will be back next year. Could not have been a better vacation, the kids and everyone had an amazing time!!! Thanks!!

My family rented this home July 4 week. The house was wonderful. It was supplied with anything that you could possibly need. Including cooking supplies, beach toys. The house was decorated in such a way that you felt you were truly on a beach vacation. The view from the balcony was superb. Walking distance to the beach. Already made reservations to stay again next summer. Will recommend to all friends. Commerce. Tx

The hospitality Brian and Nancy offered was priceless. The location, ocean view, ammenities - everything was more than we could have hoped for. We have stayed here 3 years in a row over Memorial Day and 2011 will be our 4th year! Even through the change in ownership there was a smooth seemless transaction! We stayed last Memorial day weekend 2010 and it was our daughters 16th birthday Bryan and Nancy "adopted" our daughter as a honorary grandchild for the week and decorated the beach houses (we rented both of them) with Sweet 16 theme! They are considerate and wonderful people to rent from! They go out of their way to make it comfortable for us each time! We love these houses and consider them our home away from home until someday we purchase our own little piece of Heaven in Galveston!! Thanks Nancy and Bryan for being great landlords and all around wonderful people!!!! We love both places!

MY FAMILY AND I SPENT 3 NIGHTS AND THROUGHLY ENJOYED IT. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE HOME AND IT DIDN'T FEEL LIKE A RENTAL. VERY CLEAN AND LOVED THE BEACH DECOR. IT FELT LIKE WE WERE ON OUR OWN PRIVATE BEACH. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY AND THE OWNER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND EASY TO WORK WITH. WE WENT TO THE STRAND AND THE SPOT ON THE SEAWALL AND IT WAS A SHORT DRIVE FROM THE TOWNHOME. A+ ALL THE WAY.

Owner response:It's so rewarding to open our Townhome to guests coming to enjoy Galveston Island. We are in a quiet area, but close enough to get to the attractions on the Island in 15 - 20 minutes. Driving west from 61st St. is a real treat viewing all the beautiful homes along the way and since the road has been repaved--- very smooth. The new owners were just FANTASTIC I cannot honestly say enough wonderful things about them! They are local and more than accomodating to your every need! We stayed at the Tropical Paradise for a week in late July. This was our 4th vacation there. Obviously, we just love the place! The location is great, and the ambiance is awesome. Not to mention that the condo is VERY nice -- comfortable and homey. It's inspiring to see the progress Galveston has made in less than a year in its come back from Hurricane Ike's devestation. While we miss Sherry and George, the new owners, Nancy and Brian, never missed a beat. They answered any questions we had and made sure everything was as it should be for our vacation. You can bet we plan on going back!

myself and a friend and her 2 yr old daughter had a nice visit to galveston in april 09,we stayed at the condo and it was very nice,we enjoyed walks on the beach and it is close enough to so many things to see and do.this was our 2nd stay at this place.it is always clean and pleasant and i would reccomend it and go again..thanks for the lovely accomodations 1

OMG!!! I called Sherry at the last minute needing a nice quiet weekend get-a-way. This condo was everything my family and I could have hoped for! We walked down to the beach at sunset and found sand dollars and went fishing. This condo was equipped with everything we needed. It was decorated in the most comfortable and cozy style (with each room having its own theme), we opened the windows and could hear the surf and sea gulls, grilled on the patio, played games, watched movies and sat out on both the decks and enjoyed the breeze. We were on the strip within a few minutes drive for shopping and souviners. My family fell in love with her condo and plan to stay here every chance we get and will refer all of our family and friends to visit here! This place is designed and decorated to make the guest feel relaxed and at peace. THANK YOU SHERRY!!!

We booked our stay at Tropical Paradise almost 1 year in advance of our arrival. When Ike hit last Sept., Sherry stated they had very little damage but would gladly return our deposit. We thanked her but said no as we were looking forward to our stay on Galveston, it being one of our favorite places to visit. We arrived at the condo on Jan. 30 and left on Mar. 8, 2009. Our stay was everything we expected. The condo is spacious, decorated lovely and very comfortable. The view is fantastic as is the close walk to the beach. We had family visit us several times during our stay and we were all pleased. Thank you Sherry for our positive experience and we hope to return soon.
