At the risk of this penthouse becoming so popular that we'll never be able to get in again we're writing this review. The property is exactly as depicted, although when you're standing on the terrace with all of the Bay of Banderas in front of you it's WAY MO BETTA than looking at photos! We had to navigate a couple of situations on our trip that were unrelated to the condo and not the owner's responsibility but we used him as our lifeline via texting and he was totally there for us. The penthouse is immaculate and Anna the housekeeper is a pro and absolutely trustworthy which makes for a relaxing visit. The location is ideal, and we've stayed in this city multiple times. Restaurants and beach are an easy walk down the hill just a few blocks on a pedestrian staircase thru the neighborhood. It's just a 50 peso taxi ride to anywhere in the romantic part of town, so getting up the hill again is less than $5(!) (TIP on provisioning: There's a big grocery store in town that's well stock called "Ley." Less taxi fare and time to get there than to shop at the giant stores out of downtown. Taxis all know it.) We loved the view, the QUIET, the proximity to fun dining spots, the neighborhood feel (vs hotel zone,) the security of the building, the helpful residents of the building, the pool area with a view of the bay and no fighting for chairs, and the well equipped and beautifully decorated penthouse itself. We've already booked our return!

Our trip was wonderful, accommodations were very lovely, our trip very memorable. The pick-up at the airport was nice, and took the pressure off walking through the “gauntlet” of taxi services. The property managers, Roger and James, were very nice, and helpful. Visiting with neighbors, by the pool was fun, as they were sources of great stories. We have shared our positive experience with friends and co-workers, and will definitely recommend your place to anyone who inquiries.

Thank you so much. In a word- magnificent! Your condo, and indeed the entire property, is so beautiful and meticulously maintained. We were delighted with every aspect of our time in Vallarta. From your hospitality to Anna's care and Lynda's help- everyone was so great to us. Your place was so relaxing and beautiful- a pleasure to come home to at the end of the day. I'd love to buy the adjacent unit, if I just didn't have girls headed to college soon! We spent most of our days being lazy on the beach at Eldorado, then swimming back at your pool. The restaurants and shops were fun in the evenings, as well. The whales had already arrived and the excursion we took to watch them was remarkable. Overall, aside from highway construction during the high season, this was the best trip we've taken together as a family. Thank you so much for helping make this a memorable time!

Just came home from a 1 week stay @ Las Estrellas... Felt like i had to write a review.... This condo is perfection... Beautifully decorated and maintained. Very clean and with such a sweet housekeeper. The experience was ideal from being met at the airport from an English speaking driver to the management team that could not have been more helpful... They greeted us and were there to reccomend restaurants, grocery stores, cab companies... Completely accomodating... The airconditioning and fans worked perfectly. The layout of the condo is great... with everything you need being exactly where you would expect it to be. Very smart details like half of the huge terrace being covered and half open... so you could choose sun or shade. The view could not be better... perfect to enjoy the beautiful Puerto Vallarta Sunsets. The location was ideal... we walked to the beach every day (4 minute walk down hill) I am pretty particular and fairly spoiled and i would not hesitate to reccomend this property to a friend.

This was our second trip to Puerto Vallarta, with the previous trip to an 'all-inclusive' resort in the "hotel" area. This was (by far) the best experience we have had while staying out of town. The Penthouse was spacious, comfortable, homely, beautiful and clean. It was nice having a stocked home and helped me from feeling too home sick. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and at the end of 8 days, I was still not ready to come home. It is a short walk to the beach and to many delicious restaurants and shops. Wonderful Escape

This first trip to Puerto Vallarta was everything I hoped for. The entire property was as described and pictured. All around it was quite lovely. Not pictured was the outstanding care that the entire property obviously receives. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The brochure provided by the owner before arrival was very informative and helpful - includes how the taxi system works, tipping, grocery shopping, etc. Nearby property managers were there to welcome me. Having a car waiting for me upon arrival was especially nice. I am already working on plans to return with family! My travel companion is familiar with the city so we dined at several local restaurants - every one was wonderful. For a really laid back day I recommend the bus ride to Boca. The water taxis will take you to beaches or you can just hang out at the open air restaurant at the waters edge. Fish tacos there are super good!

I just returned from a weeks stay at Penthouse Las Estrellas located in the Las Estrelittas Del Mar property. The home is well appointed and there is great attention to detail. The housekeeper, Anna, keeps the home in immaculate condition. The pool and common area are also in A+ condition. I have stayed in rental properties in this area of Puerto Vallarta for over 20 years and this is the best yet. Mary - Long Beach, CA

8 Days & Seven Nights in PV Paradise...

We just got back from spending 8 days / 7 nights at this absolutely most incredible place... Nestled up in the hills of Old Vallarta; just a brief walk from the beach and not to far from the famous 'Malecon' (Romantic Zone). This was our second consecutive trip to Puerto Vallarta, with last years trip to an 'all-inclusive' resort in the newer 'Riviera Nayarit' area. After staying @ Bob's Penthouse though... I can tell you that we have seen our last days of the 'all-inclusive' offerings!

My wife and I stayed here for the month of February, 2011. We had previously stayed for a week in 2010, so obviously we liked it to return for a month this time. The listing and pictures are totally accurate, everything is as advertised. The condo is clean, well maintained, and furnished above and beyond. Several Puerto Vallarta friends who visited commmented on how Mexican the "feel" is, as they admired the objects on the walls. Walking up the hill to the condo could be a challenge for some! But that is what gives Las Estrellas its view! Recommend the unit wholeheartedly. Think about the hill before deciding.

Perfectly Positioned Penthouse

My partner and I had a great vacation experience recently in Puerto Vallarta and adding to that pleasure was this beautiful penthouse. The location was perfectly located on the hillside just up from the beach and a short walk down to the water. We didn't have to rent a car which was a great selling point for us, having dealt with car rentals in Mexico, before. Because of the way the unit is situated, its terrace was very private with fantastic bay views. The complex's pool was refreshing after a day on the beach. There were just two of us, but the two bedroom / 2 bath unit could comfortably accommodate another couple. I can recommend this property with out any doubt that it will enhance any vacation to Puerto Vallarta. John

Our recent stay in Puerto Vallarta was exceptional in so many ways, but particularly impressive and memorable were the accommodations at Las Estrallas. Simply stated, the Penthouse was perfect for us in every way. The location, views, and impeccable interior furnishings/decor were well beyond our expectations. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the immaculate surroundings made us feel immediately comfortable. Central Vallarta and the beach were just a short walk down the hill, and taxi service to and from the condo was efficient and very reasonable, making the entire area easily accessible. We have already recommended Las Estrallas to many of our friends and we're looking forward to our own return trip - hopefully, sometime in the near furture.

I have visted PV for many years and have stayed in numerous locations but this one is perfect. It is close to everything yet private as one can want. The condo is beautifully appointed and the views will knock your socks off. I will certainly return next year. Whether one wants to go out or stay at home, no place I've stayed over the years in PV can top this penthouse condo for everything desireable in a vacation home. The staff is attentive, competent, and friendly. This place really made my stay this year one of the best ever. It is an understatement to say that I recommend this penthouse. If you want to experience Puerto Vallarta in an exceptional way, you can't miss the mark with this place.

Wonderful Ocean Views from Relaxing Vallarta Retreat

We got home last night from Vallarta and I wanted to thank you for sharing your wonderful vacation home with us. Your Vallarta condo was even more beautiful than the great web site photos! We all enjoyed the views, the Amapas location, the pool, tropical landscaping and the great decor. The early August weather was great, mostly sunny, beautiful sunsets with a couple of nighttime thunderstorms providing great light shows. Las Estrellas Condo a great find

Las Estrellas was a comfortable condo for our family of four in a peacefully quiet neighborhood. Location was great with a quick but steep stairway walk to the beach. Condo is beautifully decorated and has everything you'd need for cooking and relaxing. The balcony views were fabulous, the property and pool were very well maintained and clean. We were, once again, charmed by Vallarta and the incredibly friendly natives. Anna, the house keeper, was courteous and felt like part of the family. The owner readily gave recommendations on restaurants, cabs, and car rentals: they were all perfect. We'll stay again next time we come to Vallarta.

I love this place!! The condo is perfect- the view is fantastic!! Right downstairs is the pool, and right out the back gate- a little walk ( all down hill - and stairs ) and you are in the heart of town. It couldn't be better located. Everything is literally just out back - including the beach. Everything was ready for us when we got here -and even nicer than the pictures. All this and you can even drink the tap water! I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to go again!

Penthouse Above Los Muertos Beach

Really enjoyed our stay at the Penthouse. We were not disappointed in any way-all perfect for a perfect vacation. Fantastic view and the condo had all amenities for cooking in as well as for our comfort. Did find a local supermarket for fresh vegetable and fruit and a fish market for the freshest fish we have ate in a long time since moving to Arizona! With the spices in the pantry we had gourmet meals with that 180 degree view of Banderas Bay. The furnishings are splendid. Loved the art work. Plus the little iguana above the front door for a touch of humor! We were sad to leave Penthouse Above Los Muertos Beach .

I had the pleasure of staying at Las Estrellas several years ago for my 30th birthday. It has obviously been decorated by a professional because the moment I stepped through the door I felt like I was walking into an old world Spanish villa. The 180 degree view of the beach/ocean is amazing. The location is central to everything, restaurants, beaches and the plaza.

When I walked into the penthouse I immediately felt comfortable and knew I'd feel pampered there. It's beautifully decorated and very clean and well maintained. I couldn't have asked for a better view of Puerto Vallarta my mouth dropped when I walked out on to the oversized balcony it was breathtaking. The location was very accessible to downtown Vallarta and the beach, it was less than a 10 minute walk. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wanted a luxury stay in that beautiful town. I didn't want to leave.

My trip to Penthouse Las Estrellas was unforgettable! The accommodations were perfect, from the inside decor to the views of the ocean. Watching the sunset from the balcony was breath taking. Great restaurants, super fun bars, and exciting sight seeing were all within walking distance. The pool is situated perfectly for privacy and the beach is close enough to enjoy for the day. I highly recommend this home for an incredible vacation spot. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed at Penthouse Estrella before departing for a stay further south in Mexico. The place was amazing and the location couldn't have been better. It was a very short walk down the hill to be in OldTown and on the beach. If we had stayed at other rental locations available, we might have had to drive or take a taxi to move around, but this location gave us the freedom to be "above it all" up on the hill, but to be at fantastic restaurants within minutes by foot. The views from the gorgeous, plant-filled deck, of the ocean and Old Town enhanced the feeling of being on a tropical vacation! The penthouse itself is furnished very tastefully with art and furniture reflective of the local decor- but not overdone in anyway. The vacation was a romantic getaway, but the facility had a separate bedroom that would have easily accomodated another couple, or children. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in PV!

Couple of friends and I stayed here and really enjoyed the penthouse. The rooms were comfortable but we spent most of our time on the patio enjoying the view of the Bay. A nice walk to downtown and an easy cab ride home. Very convenient and a beautiful place!
