Owner's Profile
Why the Owner Chose Cross Village
This land has been in our family for multiple generations. The rental property is a cabin that was built on a portion of the original parcel. It is owned by 'the kids' now, all of whom grew up summering on the lake. Thirty acres above the waterfront property were donated to the Little Traverse Conservancy. Over three acres are retained as part of the waterfront home, with a conservation easement. We have only recently opened the cabin for paid guests, during weeks when the family is not using it. We are pleased to be able to share our piece of heaven with others.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Just being down here on the big lake is a peaceful and refreshing experience. After a few days, you can feel yourself unwind and feel at home. Being close to the lake, the weather and wildlife is good for the soul. The sun doesn't always shine. Sometimes there are storms. They are wild and beautiful. Being close to the variety of weather is all part of the experience. The original artwork was created by family and friends.

Sitting here at work... missing Agamiing Minwendam ..... I can not begin to describe how relaxing and peaceful this place is. This is not your typical modern rental, with the sterile feel. This is Grandma and Gramdpa's cottage... Cable / internet / cell phone coverage.. you can have them.. Gorgeous sunsets, Frogs, Campfires, Foxes, Snakes, Bats, Deer, wild turkey, Wine on the deck while watching the kids on the beach.... Boss I'm taking another vacation... hope the current renters don't mind a drop in guest....
Owner response:He's only kidding, but such a pleasure to know this family loves it as much as we do! Very kind words from a family that comes every year and takes such great care of the place! It is a pleasure to share it with them.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Hi Diane, We are already home from our week at your cottage. We had a great time and the weather was perfect, sunny and comfortable every day, with a storm one night. We'd like the same week next summer--already looking forward to next year!
