We just returned from a week in Paris staying in this apt. What a great place, in a great location. Would definitely return to the same apt. again. The owner was lovely and it has everything you need including computer and internet which was very useful for finding locations of things we wanted to do. Tons of food options and boutiques within 2 minutes, and a Metro Stop (Pont Marie) within 5 minutes. So glad we did this instead of staying in a hotel.

I'm yust coming back from Paris where I spent the easter with my husband and my children 12 and 14 years old. My husband and I had already been there other times, but this time realized that the location where you live may change the holiday and may make the difference. to live in the ile s.louis is absolutely great, in few minutes you can be everywhere without having to take bus or metro. yust go down some steps and you find in the heart of the town, and when you feel tired and need to take a rest, you go up some steps and a great silence welcomes you. the flat is the best you can desire for a) romantic trip, b) holiday with young children who can yoin you in exploring the town, but who can also wait for you at home if the boredom prevails as it always happens to teen-agers. strongly recommended also for singles people because it's so easy to meet people in Paris...

My family and I just returned from our one week stay in Annie's apartment in Paris. I would like to give my sincere thank-you to Annie for her beautiful apartment - everything was perfect and exactly as described on the website and in the pictures. Annie was very professional from my initial contact with her and also friendly and helpful. Like many other reviews said, she prepared a basket full of coffee/tea bags and even some sweet treats upon our arrival in the apartment! The convenience of the apartment is great - with bakery and wine and cheese shop right downstaires of the apartment (you can smell fresh bread every morning!!) and boucherie next door are all the best ones in Paris. And Berthillon Ice Cream, the best ice cream in Paris, is literally across the street. The famous Latin Quarter is just across the bridge on the left bank for those looking for night life. But the apartment and neighborhood itself is very quiet at night - with just mature/sophisticated crowds and locals dining in restaurants on the island so you can avoid the busy touristy noise and get a restful sleep after a day of sightseeing. The apartment is also in the center of Paris, on the island of St. Louis - you can literally walk to most attractions on foot - and the neighborhood of St. Louis itself is even more amazing - I especially love the surrounding streets with so many different specialty shops, from antiques to specialty travel book store, from olive oil shop to foie gras shop, all the best shops in Paris are steps away from the apartment, on the island of St. Louis! I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again. And thank you Annie - I look forward to returning to Paris to your kind hospitality!

We loved everything about this apartment. The location could not be beat - you don't have to choose whether to stay on the left bank of on the right - stay in the very center! There are lovely bridges crossing the Seine for whichever side you wish to explore. It is a treat to get to cross the Seine every time you go out on the town. The cobbled streets of the Ile St Louis are charming and lovely. My favorite thing about this apartment was the scent - there is a bakery downstairs and the delicious scents waft into the apartment all day long. The bed was enormous and soft - like a cloud in heaven. It was exquisite to lie and stare up at the 17th century beams while listening to the toll of bells from Notre Dame through the gorgeous stately french windows. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed and very romantically decorated. Annie was extremely helpful with any questions we had. It was especially nice to have a computer with internet, a dishwasher, and a clothes washer! It was also nice that it was on the (American) second floor (French first) so there weren't too many stairs to climb at the end of a long day! I would like to live in this apartment full-time! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

LOVED staying here. Many thanks to the owner, Annie, who made our stay more comfortable with pre-trip help and advice, flexibility with our travel schedule, etc. The place has everything you need: a decent bathroom with hair dryer, heating, air conditioning, a clothes washer, microwave, refrigerator, guidebooks, maps, an internet-connected computer, and above all a A-list, center of the city location, close to the Metro. We could not have asked for a better location, a nicer apartment, or a nicer owner. We've already talked about staying here again on our next trip to Paris.

This apartment was exactly as described by the owner. It was clean and provided all of the necessary amenities. The location of the apartment is very close to bakeries and restaurants (especially loved Louis IX). It's an easy walk to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Latin Quarter. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. The AC was cold, the WiFi was free and Annie was a perfect host. Merci beaucoup Annie for making our trip so special.

We loved this apartment during our seven-day stay in June. The location was fantastic. Being on Ile St. Louis made it easy to get to all the sites of the city, most of them by walking. The neighborhood was a delight, with good bakeries, restaurants, markets and shops within a few steps of the front door. The overall ambience was just what we were looking for. The apartment itself was perfect for the three of us. Our 15-year-old daughter loved having her own "zone" in the not-full-height loft. The place had a lot of charm, but with many modern conveniences -- air conditioning, washer, computer with free Internet. (Note: We didn't use the air conditioning because of the mild weather, and our preferred method of communication, a 3G iPad, didn't get good reception.) It was great to leave Paris with suitcases full of clean clothes, since we were spending two more weeks in Europe. There was no dryer, but a drying rack was provided. The small kitchen seemed well-equipped, but we pretty much used it only for preparing breakfast. There is only one window to speak of, facing out into a very small courtyard. Not much of view, but we enjoyed hearing one of the other apartment-dwellers playing the violin. Annie was professional in our dealings with her. All interactions went smoothly. (We locked ourselves out once, and she was very accommodating about helping us get back in.) We thought this apartment rental was a very good value, based upon our research of rates at hotels and other apartments. We would highly recommend this place and we hope to stay here again when we return to Paris.

Annie was always available for questions if needed and very pleasant to work with. We would definitely rent with her again!

We spent a few weeks in March at Annie's rue Bude apartment on Ile St. Louis, the island right behind Notre Dame. This quiet and cozy apartment for two comes with all the amenities for creating a meal from delicious ingredients bought at the local speciality shops. Annie was so helpful with great suggestions about the neighborhood. She is a delight! Although the island is small, it has numerous restaurants at various prices for anyone's budget. The Metro, connecting us to the rest of Paris, had stations close by as well as buses. However, we just enjoyed walking and enjoying the river and the spring blossoms. We will be back. Thanks Annie

The apartment on Ile St Louis was a great apartment. We stayed there in December and it was the perfect location to get to all the attractions and the metro. Annie was wonderful to deal with and she made the stay very easy. The property was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in a central location and in such a beautiful area of Paris.

This is a charming location that was perfect for three adults. There is a cheese shop and bakery within 10 feet of the front door. It is half the price of the Hotel Jeu de Paume which is a block away. It is near excellent restaurantes (Foue en Ile was a favorite). The mezanine for sleeping is "cozy" so you would spend all day up there, but it works fine for sleeping. The kitchenette is perfect for making morning coffee and preparing snacks. The owners was helpful in logistics of picking up and dropping off keys as well as returning the deposit. Give this place a try and ou will not regret it.

We were in Paris from October the 15th. to October the 22nd 2010 and we rent Madame Milgram apartment on Budé street, Ile Saint-Louis. We would recommend this bachelor to any couples who is looking for a quiet, safe and central location to leave in Paris. You feel that every interesting site is around; 10-15 minutes walk to the Louvre Museum, 5 minutes from the Latin Quartet, 5 minutes from the subway and, nearby the apartment, grocery store, wine store, bakery, cheese store, restaurants etc. We highly recommend not only this location but also the kindness of Madame Milgram.

"I highly recommend this apartment for a relaxing stay in Paris. It is central to everywhere you would like to go in Paris. Annie has numerous maps in the apartment to help you get around. We purchased a 5 day metro card and caught the local buses to get around. We caught the 69 most of the time as it stops at most of the places you would like to see, so easy! The photos and description of the apartment are exactly what you see when you walk in the door. The only concern is the narrow steps, but we managed without a problem. There is a fromagerie, boulangerie, boucherie and supermache right at your front door. We had many cheese and salad bagettes followed by a bottle of wine, all purchased just 'down stairs'. There are many wonderful restaurants to feast at or simply cook your own in the little kitchen. Annie is a pleasure to deal with, her hospitality is very generous and booking particularly easy with paypal. We can't wait until we return! "

"This property is everything that is promises and more. It was definitely a great value as well. For us, the proximity to the river and to the Latin Quarter was perfect for us. Annie is a great hostess and had us very well prepped for the stay including maps and a bottle of bubbly (which we popped after we got engaged on the Eiffel Tower!). I would highly recommend this location to couples looking for a romantic place to stay. One day we went to the bakery, grabbed a baguette, bought some cheeses at the fromagerie, some meats at the butcher and a couple bottles of wine at Nicholas. All of which are steps from the apartment. We spent the afternoon lunching by the Seine. There are some great restaurants on the island, but the Latin Quarter is teeming with places to eat. We walked everywhere. We actually only used the train one day. The mezzanine is quite small and would be fine for small children but is not really suitable for adults. Also, be prepared to carry your bags up some stairs. It is a walk up. This place is charming, Annie is sweet and booking is SO simple. I was able to PayPal everything. Thank you, Annie, for an unforgettable stay in Paris. "

We just returned from our first visit to Paris, and loved staying in the apartment. It was furnished with everything we could possibly need, including umbrellas (unfortunately), all the kitchen dishes and utensils, lots of clothes hangers, and helpful tourist books and maps. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment was nice and quiet. We appreciated the air conditioning, washing machine, and especially the computer. The location was fantastic, and we really enjoyed coming "home" each evening after a busy day of sightseeing. Annie is a wonderful host, and we highly recommend her apartment! Judith New York

We have been several times to Paris, but have never been as pleased with our accommodations as we were at this truly charming, clean, spacious and well-appointed apartment. We will never stay anywhere else again. Madame Milgram was extremely responsive, gracious and helpful from our very first internet contact with her and throughout our week-long stay in Paris. E-mails were always answered with surprising promptness. Nothing was ever a problem. Mme Milgram met us at the apartment on the morning of our arrival to acquaint us with the apartment where she had prepared a welcome basket of coffee and tea, local specialty cookies, crackers and jam. She had also prepared a binder full of very useful information about local shops, open air markets and activities. The apartment contains ample closet space, lots of guidebooks, novels and other reading material in English. The king size bed was very comfortable. Our 9 year old was delighted to have her own loft sleeping alcove. The apartment has been beautifully restored to highlight its 18th century charm and its high, broad beamed ceilings give a feeling of real spaciousness. The TV and internet were great to have. A beautiful hot shower in the bathroom. Very effective air conditioning! Extremely quiet, centrally located on cozy Ile St. Louis. I simply cannot say enough good things about our experience in staying at this property. We had our breakfast and dinner in the apartment each day, as the local bakeries produce the most wonderful baguettes and croissants and the local grocery is well stocked and very close by. Extremely centrally located - steps from Notre Dame, the Marais, Paris Plage (in the summer), the Left Bank, the Batobus sightseeing boat, lots of buses. We were never far from any sights we wanted to visit, and were also able to stop back "home" to rest our feet before starting out again. If you are considering an apartment rental as an option to a hotel, I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed. Madame Milgram, please accept our sincere thanks for a wonderful week, for your kindness to us and for your responsiveness. We will recommend your apartment to all of our friends and family and will stay at your lovely apartment again when we return to Paris. A bientot!

My two granddaughters and I stayed in the apartment for a week and thoroughly loved it! The Ile St Louis is THE place to stay for wonderful shops and restaurants! While it can be busy on the Ile during the day, it clears out later in the evening and there was no noise to be heard. I will always remember awakening to the smell of freshly baked croissants from the bakery below. We toured France for 6 weeks and never found any that tasted better! The fromagerie next door is also wonderful - eggs, milk, and fabulous cheeses! Location is great, Annie is a great landlord - we needed extra towels and she brought them while we were shopping. Next stay in Paris will be here!!

Dear Annie, Thank you for sharing your wonderful Paris apartment with my daughter and me. We loved the location as we were by several Metro/RER stations which made getting around so easy. We were thrilled each day to walk over the foot bridge to Ile de Cite and gaze upon the beautiful Notre Dame. We must have hundreds of pictures of it in every light imaginable. The location was especially appreciated as Paris was having a heat wave and we were able to go "home" and rest and re-charge before heading back out to explore. Thank you also for the AC as it was needed and for having a computer with internet as it made keeping in touch with family very easy. Also, we used G7 taxi service to get back to CDG and they were on time and spoke English. Would use them again. Merci beaucoup, Valarie and Kim

Well equipped flat in ideal location. Kitchen and bathroom were more than adequate, and free internet access was a real bonus. Good sized bed. Stone floor could have been softened by addition of a rug, but this is minor quibble. It was great to be able to choose from a number of excellent food shops within a few paces of the flat, not to mention great restaurants (Le Fin Gourmet, Mon Vieil Ami to mention just 2) and a fantastic Bertillon ice cream shop. Most helpful owner and a well maintained property.

Thanks Annie, for helping make our family's first visit to paris just great! The apartment was the perfect size and location for the four of us (2 kids - 8 and 11)! The kids loved the "loft" beds. I am a "fussy" sleeper, and I slept wonderfully on the comfortable beds and the peace and quiet! The computer was a wonderful bonus - I checked weather and Metro/bus information everyday! Thanks again

"My family spent 7 wonderful days in this apartment. The location was perfect. It was near the Metro and the shops below and along the street were very convenient. The apartment was big enough for the 4 of us and the amenities provided made us feel right at home. Annie met us on our first day and gave us all the information needed for our stay. She left us a book containing all the info about the apartment and about Paris. Thanks Annie for a memorable stay in Paris, your apartment made us feel right at home." Manuel Delfin April 2009

The apartment on the Ile de St Louis is a dream: it is comfortable, convenient, quiet. A delicious bakery is two minutes away as is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant. To the Notre Dame is a five minute walk;ditto to the excitement of the Left Bank and,the opposite way, a five minute walk to the Marais, the Picasso Museum, the old Jewish quarter. Three Metro stations are a short walk away, as are buses. I can\'t wait to go back next time I have to be in Paris. Curt Leviant

What a fantastic apartment! Although it was small, it was perfect for us and our 2 sons... everything we needed! Superb location...handy to everything and Annie was so helpful and friendly. The whole booking process was easy and problem-free from initial contact to Annie waiting in the apartment for us to arrive... what more could you ask for? Why stay in a hotel when you can experience Paris like this? PERFECT!!!!

Dear Annie, We have just returned to Australia and just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Rue Saint Louis en l'Ile. The position is excellent and we felt very secure in your cosy, nicely decorated apartment. We hope to return sometime. Thanks and kind regards, Suellen Herd

"I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a spacious and charming location for their stay in Paris. I have visited Paris several times and I very much enjoyed this vacation because of Annie's apartment. The location is outstanding. Quick metro access to Pont Marie. In the center of action in either the 7th, the 1st or Ile de la Cite. There are many good restaurants in the area - the apartment is literally between a patisserie & a fromagerie. However if you want to prepare a meal in the apartment, it has a well-equipped kitchen to do just that. Paris was rather cool in October - about 1 degree Celsius -however the apartment was well-insulated and did not get too cold. The apartment has a heater which worked very well and heated up the apartment when needed. Annie was helpful and responsive throughout the reservation process. The apartment was very clean and equipped with all of the amenities. Annie even left a basket of treats with coffee, tea, cake & crackers upon arrival. I will have fond memories of my stay in this apartment.

My daughter, youngest son, and I spent two weeks in this apartment this month. Despite it's small size, we were perfectly happy here. We had everything we needed (and more!) and Annie was absolutely the nicest, most helpful "landlord" I've ever had. The reserving and paying process was easy, there is a LOT of helpful Paris information in the apartment AND she left us a very nice basket of goodies to enjoy during our stay. If you wish to ask me details, please email your questions.

Dear Annie, Now that we have completed our vacation and have returned to the States I wanted to drop you line and let you know just how much we adored your flat. Staying on L' Isle St. Louis was like taking a step back in time. Just to step outside the door and onto the street was to be bombarded with image after image that contained the essence of Paris. From the Boulangerie and Fromagerie on either side of the entry to the little Super Market down Rue L'Ise St. Louis--all was quintessentially Paris! The flat itself was cozy and comfortable. And to awaken to the smell of baking (and partaking of almond crossants), although not great for my waistline, was heavenly. The family really emmersed itself in all things Paris (including Euro-Disney). We had a marvelous time, Annie. Thank you so much for the use of your lovely flat. Our stay in Paris was certainly the highlight of our time abroad. Best wishes, Michael and Candi Hill Chesapeake, Virginia, USA
