"La Campagne de Chloé" is a dreamy place in the heart of Provence. The villa is located at hilltop with a panoramic view: the vineyards, the Mont Ventoux, the Lez River, and the South Prealps. You will appreciate the silence and the quite of the nature.
There are 3500 square meters of "garrigue" and holm oak wood. The seven by thirteen square meters pool is discreetly set to one side of the house and has a security alarm. After swimming, you may rest on a wonderful wood terrasse of 80 square metres, with sunbeds and garden furniture under the trees.
The villa is a spacious architect house very comfortable and sunny. The interior decoration is "Art Deco" style subtly associated with Provencal style. It has five bedrooms: three upstairs and two downstairs. Four bedrooms have a king-size bed, and one has two single-size beds. Every room is opened onto a furnished private terrasse. All the bedrooms have large wardrobes. You may sleep under the roofs, on the first balcony, with two single-size beds up to the living room, and one single-size bed in the small bedroom. If you need, baby bed and car chair are available. There are two spacious bathrooms, each with bath tub and separated shower with a view on oaks.
The 80 square meters living room is south exposed and enlightened by sunshine from morning until evening. It is opened onto a large covered terrasse with tables, chairs, and a "Weber" barbecue which allow you to enjoy your meals at any time. On winter, you appreciate the warm of the fireplace. There is a full equipped kitchen and a separate laundry room.
"La Campagne de Chloé" is one kilometer from a typical medieval village named "Taulignan" and five kilometers from "Le Château de Grignan" where "Madame de Sévigné" used to live. You are in the country of the well-known olive oil from Nyons (twenty-five kilometers) and on the road of the very famous "Côtes du Rhône" wine. The "Enclave des Papes" area begins 500 meters far from the house. You can smell everywhere the perfume of lavender and hear the sing of cicadas and crickets at summer.
You may visit Avignon, Aix en Provence, Saint-Remy de Provence, Orange, the Camargue, the Rhône Valley, the French Riviera, and the Alps by car. In those places, you appreciate well-known art festivals as "le festival d'Avignon", "les chorégies d'Orange", "le festival des lettres de Grignan"... You may reach the mediterranean sea within 1 1/2 hours by car.
You are five minutes by feet from Taulignan village where everything is available (butcher, baker,...). You are five minutes by car from a mall in Valreas. The International Marseille Airport is only about one hour by car and the Avignon TGV rail station is thirty minutes by car. Car rental are available.
Our house manager, pool manager, electrcian and plumber are within easy reach if problem occurs.
You can enjoy "La Campagne de Chloé" all year long: during the summer, from May to October, and during the sunny and beautiful winter.

Why the Owner Chose Taulignan
This villa is located in "Drôme provençale", where the nature is beautiful. It is the country of olive tree, lavander fields and vineyards. It is hilly and you can see wonderfull sunrises and sunsets above the little mountains. It is also very quiet, far from the agitation of the cities. Therei s many activities to do, sports as walking, cycling, cannionning, horseriding, or visiting the lovely medieval villages and castle around, or have cultural activities, there is many music, theater and writing festival during the summer ( Avignon, Grignan, orange, Vaison-la-romaine, etc.). But you can also spend the time near the swimming-pool, under the sun, dreaming while watching the amazing view .
The Unique Benefits at this Architect Villa
When we are there, we feel in the heart of the nature, out of time. It is a place of quietness, you can pnly hear the birds singing the morning and the cicadas the evening. You can stay hours contemplating the landscape. The view from the house is amazing, we are on the top of the hill and we can see everywhere around. The scenery changes everyday and is different at any time of the day. The swimming pool is especially pleasant, you can really swim because it is large and then have a rest on the nice wood terrasse, enjoying the sun or the shadows of the oak trees.

We usually live in Marseille and come to the villa very often. It is our piece of little paradise. We are both psychiatrists in a Universitary hospital. We love nature and we enjoy sports and culture, especially litterature, music and cinema. This villa is a house family, we decided to keep it because we love this place. So we refurbished it and started to rent it few years ago.
We are at the moment in Oxford for one year, but we will soon come back to our sunny place !
