You will also be able to fish, boat, sail, kayak, or ski off your own private, lighted pier! Clean your catch in your own fishing stand, and cook your fish, including redfish, trout, catfish, flounder, etc., on a charcoal grill day and/or night.
Decorated with quality furnishings and fixtures, this home's beautiful hardwood floors span the kitchen and living area. The three bedrooms are lushly carpeted and the two baths and separate utility room with washer and dryer are tiled. Accommodations include a custom-built open-concept kitchen, dining and living area combined. The modern kitchen has a large circular breakfast bar and the dining area has a dining table, each seating 6. A dumbwaiter conveniently carries groceries and/or luggage from the garage up to the main floor for you. And the living area has a huge 65' cable TV with DVD player!
Also incuded are a huge master bedroom with 1 king-size and 1 queen-size bed and TV, a private, luxurious master bath with built-in storage drawers, bathtub, large two-person shower with double shower heads, and walk-in closet. The other two guest bedrooms each have comfortable queen-size beds, closets, and plenty of windows!
Are you needing to access the internet during your stay? Free Wi-Fi is included! Do you or your family enjoy going to the beach? If so, you'll be only minutes away from the beach in Rockport - the famous 'blue wave' beach on the bay, and 10 minutes to the ferry that will take you to Port Aransas - where you can enjoy the beach on the Gulf of Mexico.
Select this home for your next vacation with friends or family, or as a romantic get-away, to relax, enjoy the water, and just have fun!

We haved rented VRBO before but I have to say this one is the best. All the comforts of home. So clean and appealing. The beds were so comfortable and we slept wonderfully. Camille was so gracious. We will definately be back. The guys enjoyed fishing on the pier. The girls enjoyed sitting on the back balcony, the view is breath taking. Thanks again!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad you enjoyed your visit and look forward to you coming again!

Our family had a great vacation the week of October 16, 2009. The pictures on line are very accurate regarding location and layout. The accommodations and amenities listed in the description were correct; the home was very clean, overall a beautiful home. We had a great time watching the birds, all the fishermen, and boats of all kind going past the house. The only problem was the lighting over the dinner table and that was temporarily solved by the rental agent. The kitchen was great; we had all our meals at the house, no need to go out. We had a very good time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: We fixed the light over the dinner table by putting new bulbs in the fixture! Can't believe all five bulbs went out at the same time!

We had a great five night stay in this beautiful home. Everything was very nice, clean and well kept. My husband loved the huge man cave/garage on the ground floor. We were able to put our boat in the water right down the road and tie the boat up to the dock behind the house. That was very convenient! The redfish were just not biting, and I really enjoyed just sitting on the balcony and reading in the cool breeze. We enjoyed watching boats, birds and dolphins from the house and pier. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs with us. The balcony has a gate so that they could hang out on the balcony too. The beds were all very comfortable and there were plenty of sheets, pillows, blankets and towels. The kitchen was very well equipped too. We didn't want to leave. We have planned a longer trip for the fall and are really looking forward to returning!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The four of us arrived tired fom the cross-country trek, but found everything as promised. House was very comfortable and convenient. Exactly what was promised and as described. No surprises. Kitchen and baths clean and roomy. The beds are excellent. This commentary comes from a couple who have rented private homes across the US, in Canada, Ireland and in the Caribbean for thirty years. We sorta know how to read these descriptions and to compare to reality. In this case, believe what you read, you get what you pay for.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We were happy to read that an experienced traveler such as yourself would write such nice comments about your stay at our house. Come again soon!

Great place for a spring break getaway. The photos are accurate. The house is very comfortable and literally has everything you need. Just bring food and drink. Rockport area is a nice town with a little bit for everyone. We ate at different local places and all were great. Make sure you hit Bellinos one night. Best Italian we've had in years. You can tell this house was a family home. Has all the amenities and the dock is great for fishing or relaxing. Neighborhood is great for walks in the mornings and evenings. Everyone is very friendly. We'll be planning another visit in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review of your vacation at our home. We strive to provide everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We are also glad you were able to enjoy taking walks in the subdivision and eating out in Rockport. We hope you come again soon!

This is the third time we have vacationed at this home. The home is very attractive, neat and well furnished, and the location is excellent. While we did not fish as frequently as in other years, we spent a reasonable amount of time fishing from the pier after dark, and routinely had a wonderful experience. We fished less than in other years as we had several evenings during which the wind was excessive and would have made fishing difficult. Obviously, none of us can control weather conditions. For us, a routine day involved an early morning cup of coffee as we sat on the balcony and watched the sun rise over the bay. In addition to this relaxing activity, there were typically dolphins to observe as well as the large amount of waterfowl that use the bay. Also, there is always a certain amount of human activity to watch as fishermen pass on their way to a favorite fishing location, and there is periodic barge traffic that is enjoyable to observe. All in all, a wonderful way to begin each day in a relaxed an extremely enjoyable manner. The other typical daily activity is to walk on the beach in Rockport, or Port Aransas. The beaches differ and both are enjoyable. Port Aransas provides an easier beach for walking but also considerably more people. The Rockport beach has its own special charm, as it is typically quiet and is well maintained. Aside from activities such as attending plays, visiting Corpus Christi, or the Aransas Wildlife Refuge, much of our typical day was spent reading and simply enjoying the ambience of this delightful home and the bay that is so readily available. I would recommend this home as an ideal location for anyone who wishes to partake in the many activities available in this area, or for someone who simply wants to completely relax and enjoy the atmosphere. There is something available for everyone and I do not think you will ever be disappointed. We decided to do something different for Christmas this year and rented this beautiful Rockport home for a week. Wonderful! The house and property are lovely - well maintained and appointed. I love to cook and found everything I needed in the spacious kitchen. The split bedroom floor plan was ideal. My husband brought his boat and loved being able to just run out and fish a bit and be back "home" in a matter of minutes. Usually, after being away from home for a week or more, we are ready to get back home, but we dd not want to leave! The week was all too short. Thank you, also, to Jan, who provided an immaculate and welcoming space. We recommend this home to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable trip to the Coastal Bend. Thank you, again, Camille and Sam!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Jan, the housekeeper, will appreciate your kind comments. She works hard to provide a clean and inviting environment for our guests. We look forward to your return! Happy New Year!

We are return guests. ( Several times) We are so spoiled, we won't stay in any other home in the Rockport area. This is such a lovely home to stay in. For us, it feels like going home. We travel with a little two pound chihuahua. She immediately feels at "home"as well. The dumb waiter in the garage is a tremendous help getting our belongings into the house. The gourmet kitchen is such a joy. The views out the front door and out the back door are exquisite! Spectacular sunrises!! Fishing off our private dock was fun and convenient. Every time we threw the line out we had a bite within 30 seconds. Not all were keepers, but enough were for one meal. We take wildlife photography and many times we don't even have to leave the back porch. A resident blue heron & a resident kingfisher are among our favorite subjects! Now you can see why this is one of our favorite places to visit. When birding away from the house, we go out with Kevin Sims, Captain of the "Jack Flash". Having been raised in the Rockport area, he is quite knowledgable of the birds and where to take you to find them. Thanks Camille for sharing this beautiful home & property with others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Although I have never met you personally, I feel as though I know you. We are even Face Book friends! Thank you for the beautiful framed pictures you took and left for all to enjoy of the Blue Heron and King Fisher. It's so nice to know we have guests who love the place the way we do.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: I grew up living on the coast and my husband enjoys observing wildlife, so we picked Rockport as a place to work in 2002. It took us two years to find the perfect lot on which to build. Its close proximity to the intra coastal canal provided the feeling of living on the ocean. We were also able to enjoy great fishing year round, see plenty of amazing birds and dolphins, and watch tug boats, sailboats, motorboats on a continuous basis. Our whole family loved visiting us. When our son-in-law came to visit, he would come to bed after fishing all night, just as we were getting up for breakfast! When we had to move to another city a few years later, we just couldn’t sell this house. We hope you’ll enjoy all that it and Rockport has to offer just as we continue to do.
Why the Owner Chose Rockport:
We chose this house for its location. Being positioned directly on the bay and across from a canal, it offers beautiful panoramic views from both the front and back. Being able to watch the boats going back and forth and the birds flying overhead is so relaxing. And the sunrises and sunsets are to die for! The sounds that come from the bay are so soothing - there is nothing like the sound of a tug boat pulling at its horn as it slowly goes by at sundown. We also love being able to fish on our own pier any time during the day or night when we want to do so.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Some of the house's unique benefits are its 1) close proximity to the intracoastal waterway and, therefore, EXCELLENT FISHING, 2) private, lighted pier with fish cleaning stand, 3)gorgeous panoramic views in front and back, 4)open layout of the house, custom-built features, and quality furnishings and fixtures, 5) 65' tv set with cable, 6) and Wi-Fi!. We built the house to live in when my husband practiced medicine in Rockport, so it's not your typical vacation home.
