  Such wonderful views, but the windows haven't been cleaned in years. The place needs a good cleaning. Also, the rental indicated there was a BBQ. However, the home-made BBQ was big enough for a whole pig, but it didn't work for 3 pieces of fish or any other dinner we planned. That was a disappointment.

  We absolutely loved our stay at sea lodge. The location is perfect for enjoying Princeville and Hanalei. The hike to the beach is pretty easy and a nice break from some of the busier beaches. Great place to swim around and see some sea life. The staff at Sealodge was fantastic at helping us find things to do around the island and even delivered fresh coconut water right to our door! We enjoyed having breakfast on the lanai every morning overlooking the ocean and enjoying all the albatross. Although the beds were pretty uncomfortable, we really enjoyed our stay and are likely to choose this location again in the future. THANKS!!

  The views here are spectacular! Sealodge Beach is pretty easy to get to following the trail, even in the winter rainy season. It felt like our own private beach. The condo itself is somewhat outdated but comfortable. Pictures are faded and bathrooms need updating and maintenance but this should not keep you from rentng this property. The price is reasonable for what you get. Kitchen is stocked with everything you may need to cook and it is nice to have a washer and dryer available. Very near the Princeville Shopping Center and Foodland. Also, it was nice to have a cooler, beach chairs and boogie boards to use.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

  The pictures and description do not capture the true beauty and comfort of this condo. My husband and I traveled to Kauai for the first time with our two daughters ages 15 and 24. After 14 hours of traveling we arrived to the condo and from the minute we opened the door I knew we were in tropical paradise. The condo was immaculate and the views were spectacular. My pre-arrival worry of thinking the condo might be small for the four of us was quickly allevaited; this was not the case at all. It was extremely spacious and having the second floor with another bathroom is great if you are traveling with more than two. My husband made the window set his "nook" for reading his book and enjoying the breeze and view. I loved the lanai . There is no a/c and it is not needed because of the beautiful cross-winds. It was extremely quiet except for the crashing waves and sounds of the birds. The pool is great, never crowded and plenty of chairs. We never walked down the path to the beach but went to many other beaches, our favorite Tunnels Beach. We appreciated having access to coolers, chairs and boogey boards in the condo. I have stayed at condos where nothing is provided so we really appreciated the essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags, etc. Beautiful sunrise from bedroom window and go to A unit grass to see the sunset. Also, bed is queen not standard (from one reviewer) and there is a big flat sceen TV in living room and not small TV like in picture. Tips: Turn right into Princeville St.Regis/Westin off highway and follow signs to Sealodge. This is the enterance to Princeville resort area. Eat at Kalypso & Postcards in Hanalie and Lighthouse Bistro near Kileuea Lighthouse. Go to Smith Family Luao - fantastic buffet, entertainment, and worth the money. Snorkel or swim at Tunnels beach (no beach lot-pay $10 to park on private lawn and take path accross street to beach). Carry umbrella - occasional quick showers, then sun. Buy pineapple and mango form the roadside stands. So delicious. Buy huge bunch of tropical flowers from Princevill Food Land for only $8. By giving phone number to cashier you can get the store discount card which is worth big time savings because food is pricey. LOVED Kauai and we tried to figure out if we coud quit working and permanely live there. Great condo and beautiful surroundings, meticulously cared for. It was truly a tropical paradise and we hope to go back again.

  Everything we could hope for and exactly as described. The condo had all the things we needed to enjoy the island. We didn't get a chance to check out the beach trail, but the views were lovely, ocean breezes kept the condo cool. Note: the master bedroom has a double bed, not a queen. (Probably in the description, but I missed it.

  There is no place on earth like the North Shore of precious Kauai. As Sealodge is just on it's edge, BEFORE you must slow way down for the winding road and one lane bridges, it is also still well situated as a base for the whole island. The location is breathtaking and THIS unit (the 3rd we've tried) in particular captures it all. From the second you open the door you know you've scored a perfect 10. The views and sounds mesmerize. On our recent 3rd visit it was hard to pry my 85 yr old mother-in-law off the window bench over looking the unbelievably beautiful coast. The always spotless unit is airy, spacious and cozy at once. The amenities are complete. This is no spartan rental. The owner's direct care and taste is evident from the dramatic decor to the smallest touches. Romantic beyond words, the gorgeous loft above is also ideal if travelling with 1-2 additional friends or family members. Enjoy but give it back!

  My wife and I have been visiting ultra special Kauai regularly since our honeymoon there in '97. You go for the beauty but come back for the people. Each time we go we take a place in Sealodge. Its hard to go wrong in such a perfect location. Google Earth it! However THIS unit has to be one of the very best of the best. We've returned 3 times and can't wait for our 4th 5th and 6th. Our only fear is one day the owner will smarten up and finally return home from the mainland. We'll then all be out of luck. You let your self in through the front door and intermediately see unobstructed azure blue pacific through the large windows and lanai sliders across. When you force your attention to the place itself you realize what a delightful prize it is in its own right. From vaulted ceilings to dramatic yet relaxing decor and furnishings. Nothing cookie cutter about the choices.. While there are empty drawers and closets galore there is no cold spartan rental feeling here. At all. The spacious and spotless place is loaded with everything you need. You feel you are the welcomed resident of a home that is truly cherished and cared for. One that you will be sorry to check out from. But please do - so there's a 1, preferably 2 week opening left for us too! Meanwhile, snag when you can and enjoy.

  We're back from our honeymoon, and enjoyed your condo tremendously! Thank you so much for allowing us to rent it from you. The view is great, it was serenely comfortable, and was so close to so many things up in the north part of the island. We later stayed another few days in the south part, but the north end was our favorite by far.

  Your home was just perfect for us. I wish I was still there.. . Someday I would love to go back and I will certainly let anyone who is interested in going to Kauai know about it.
