Adjoining rentals are $200/night for a reason... this location, at the end of the road ten minutes from the beautiful little town of Honoka'a and two minutes from the Waipio Valley Lookout, has views that were selected by Costco to advertise the ENTIRE STATE OF HAWAII! No other homes are visible - simply the breath-taking beauty and the sounds of a year round stream rushing below the 100-year old terraced taro patches togther with the calls of hawks riding the thermals above the 900' cliffs. The very well laid out, large studio unit has breath-taking views from the kitchen, king-size bed and corner table and chairs, as well as the jetted jacuzzi, that can seat two.
A great central location allows easy jaunts down to Hilo or over to South Kohala and up to Hawi to the northern tip of the island, in addition to the hiking, horseback or four-wheel tours of beautiful Waipio Valley. The many guestbooks reflect wonderful memories that hundreds of guests have enjoyed here for over thirteen years now, and I'd be happy to help you to create some of your own. I'm a full time teacher in nearby Honoka'a and have lived here for over 26 years...believe me, it is, truly, a nature-lover's paradise!!

I'm a high school teacher, teaching Digital Media Tech and Cisco Netorking at Honoka'a High School, where I've been since 1972. I
enjoy restoring classic cars, and am now working on a '69 Jaguar XKE and a '57 Corvette. I have three sons and three grandchildren.
I built this house and rental and have rented it for over 15 yrs.

I built it when no-one else out this way was doing rentals. This location is by far one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring in the entire state, usually has trades and fresh air and a green environment.
