Dalaman villa description
Gocek, known throughout Turkey for its fabulous yachts harbouring the rich and famous, now has its first truly glamorous bespoke villa. The house may be snuggled away in the peaceful rural mountainside but is just a short 15 minute walk to the bustle of Gocek itself.
Villa Daidalos is a gorgeous, elegant home with handmade furniture and designer soft furnishings. The main living room has a spectacular gallery area with a high vaulted ceiling and a combination of large windows and French doors allow the whole house to be flooded with natural light.
The fabulous 10 x 5 metre pool is surrounded by large sunny terraces with comfortable sunbeds and the gardens have many shrubs, flowers, vegetable and fruit trees including pomegranate, orange and avocado all to be enjoyed by our guests. There are also many outside dining and sitting areas plus a comfy hammock.
The villa has many special features making it - we think - one of the best equipped holiday homes on the Turquoise coast.

Our perfect holiday...
Our perfect holiday...
Having just returned back from a week in Gocek at Villa Diadalos, I felt compelled to leave some comments on here to tell people about our experience. My wife and I travelled with our 12 week old son for our first family holiday and we were not left disappointed. When we landed, we had pre arranged a taxi with Fiona which took us to the villa in under 30 mins- which is just fantastic after a 4 hour flight from the UK. On arrival at the villa, you cannot fail to be impressed. Hidden behind its surrounding trees, once through the gates it becomes a place even the photos on this site dont really do it justice. The villas grounds are well kept with an array of different plants/trees, and the villa itself is quite stunning with its dramatic mountainous backdrop Every room has a different modern design to it and there is plenty of space even if you are in a big party. The villa is kept spotlessly clean by Emine each morning and retains a natural cool temperature even without really needing to put the air con on. There are tables at the front of the villa for sociable (& boozy!) lunch/dinners, and a patio at the back where you can enjoy your own BBQ late into the evening. The swimming pool is great place to cool off after soaking up the sun and is clean and kept at a refreshing temperature (our 12 week old son loved being in the in the pool every afternoon) . There is also a supply of inflatables, water pistols and games to be played/used in and around the pool so it caters for all ages. Gocek really is a hidden gem, with few in the UK really knowing anything about it. But dont let that put you off, as once you discover this sophisticated little harbour town you probably wont want to go anywhere else in Europe. Unspoilt by english tourists, there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the habour front and the locals are extremely friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend a day out on a Gulet around the surrounding bays and this can be arranged through Caanan or Fiona before or during your holiday. There are a couple of large supermarkets in the town which are well stocked with Angora (the local wine) and fresh breads and meats that are perfect to take back to the villa for dinner and lunches. There is a taxi rank outside the main supermarket and all the drivers are aware of Diadalos and is a short run back to the villa. This really was a perfect trip and the ideal venue which we will be definitely coming back too.

A perfect holiday...
Villa Daidalos is as lovely as it looks in the photos. The view is amazing, sheer landscape behind and Gocek harbour in the distance in front. So peaceful and secluded but 10 minutes walk and you can find yourself eating fish on the waterfront. Great dining areas out front and by the barbecue out back make for wonderful mealtimes, after which you can retire to the day bed for a doze, or if it's evening for a star gaze with a nightcap. The pool is perfect for games and a swim, has very comfortable sunbeds for the tan-seekers, or if you fancy a lie down but want to avoid splashers there is the secluded hammock. Canaan (sp?) and Minerva are so helpful and friendly and make you feel very welcome - they keep the villa beautifully and no problem is too big or small. A fantastic week in a villa I cannot recommend highly enough Freddie J

If you are looking for 5-star luxury and a slice of real Turkish life, Villa Daidalos is perfect. It's peacefully located in an authentic rural hamlet but just minutes away from the sophistication of Gocek so you can truly enjoy the best of both worlds. The villa is incredibly spacious and fantastically well-equipped. Even when the villa is full, there are so many private areas, you can always find some peace and quiet - if that's what you want! Everything has been designed to make your stay as relaxing as possible, from the huge daybed - perfect for stargazing - and the hammock tucked away in a quiet corner - to the spacious outdoor dining area and the lush tropical gardens. If you really feel you must keep in touch with the world, there's wireless internet and satellite TV! The staff couldn't be more helpful and can organise anything you need to make your stay even more blissful. To appreciate the true beauty of Gocek it really is worth going out on a boat. The 12 islands are stunning and a trip on a gulet is truly an experience you will never forget. There's a great selection of restaurants in Gocek and the food is delicious. Shopping is great too, with a tempting array of jewellery and ceramics. In short we had a fabulous stay and I'd have absolutely no hesitation recommending Villa Daidalos to anybody. I certainly hope to return before too long.

A slice of Paradise!
A slice of Paradise!
I've just returned from my second visit to villa Daidalos and it just gets better every time. The villa itself is beautifully appointed, with fantastic attention to detail - the comfort of guests is obviously a top priority along with aesthetic appeal. The dining balcony: extended this year and we were able to seat 20 people in the shade! The day bed: a huge hit with adults and teenagers alike. The hammock: perfect place to escape for a quick 40 winks. The pool: a cooling couple of lengths before reclining on one of many sun-loungers to top up the tan. And then there's the bar-b-q terrace, the 'G&T' terrace, the huge sofas in the galleried living room...the list goes on! Plenty of space to all be together or to slope off for a bit of peace and quiet. What also really sets this villa apart are the support staff and the lengthy list of people who are just a phone call away and there to make your holiday easier and more relaxing. As well as the daily cleaning, delivery of bread, pool cleaner etc there is, among others, the taxi driver, cooks galore, supermarket delivery, boat skipper and the rep who handily lives next door and will act as translator should you need her. If you can tear yourself away from the villa there is plenty to do and time on the water is definitely recommended. The guide in the villa has a very comprehensive list of what's around and regularly gets added to as something or somewhere new gets discovered. A particular favourite this year was The Duck Farm - a restaurant in the mountains with amp and instruments for after dinner entertainment. It's amazing how tuneful you can get after a few glasses of Turkish wine! Fortunately they only take one booking per evening so there's no-one to disagree! Congratulations to the owners on creating a wonderful place that feels like a home from home but with all the hassle and domestic drudgery removed! The perfect holiday. See you again next year!

We're coming back!
We're coming back!
This was the perfect holiday! We had such a fabulous holiday in Gocek in Villa Daidalos I can't recommend it enough to you all. The villa is very well equipped with plenty of space, even if there are 10 of you like we were. Loads of bathrooms, plenty of hot/cold water , a huge swimming pool with lovely sunloungers scattered around the pool . There was also plenty of space to 'get away from it all' too...a lovely hammock in the shade or the great day bed, for those evening gin and tonics! Gocke is a lovely little place, very friendly and well situated for day trips to Dalyan, 12 islands etc. Plenty of restaurants to choose from if you can force yourself out of the villa! It is an easy, flat walk to the town. Nothing was too much trouble for the team who looked after us, bread was delivered and if we didn't want to cook one night we had wonderful Minerva who produced a delicious dinner...whilst we lounged on the day bed! It doesn't get any better! THANK YOU, we will be back.

Excellent Place, Location :
Excellent Place, Location :
We are actually still at this Villa but one of the families are leaving today so I thought I would write a review even though we only have 1 night left. I must say that having never been to Turkey and lucky enough to travel the world with my job I didn't know what to expect after hearing media about the country. Well I was wrong, it is a fascinating place and as a father of 1 (20 months)travelling with another family with a 1 year old you are always cautious about keeping the occupied. The Villa is only a 20 minute drive from the airport and is stunning. Inside the decor, the furniture works very well and is airy and clean throughout. There is everything you can need to make it a stress free holiday. Meenerva who lives next door is a joy as are her whole family who loved the children and babysat on a couple of occasions. If you go please make sure you pet Victor who is so lovely (scary at first for children!) but we fed him and filled his water up now and again. The Pool was a great size for all and the gardens were well maintanined, the bbq at the back was great every night, and quite fun having to climb the pine forest to get some cones to start the bbq. We did climb a couple of the mountains also which was great fun and excersice after all of those bbq's! Overall the villa was perfect for what we needed, and we are already discussing on coming back next year at the same time as the weather was perfect, the villa perfect and its a shame that we are leaving tomorrow! Thank you Fiona for letting us your villa, we will be in contact for next year shortly! Chris, Thea, William Allcroft

Amazing villa and owners
Amazing villa and owners
As you can see from the image, the villa is beautiful. We rented this villa for a company retreat with 10 people. They were able to accommodate 10 separate beds. The Gocek region is a perfectly quaint area, but mostly based on tourism. When it comes to the environment you can't get more secluded and charming than this. The best part about the villa were the owners and care takers. The house has a person who takes care of the pool every morning, a woman who is pretty much your guide the entire time, a wonderful cook who can be arranged with 24 hours notice (she cooked meals all week for us) and an owner who went above and beyond to make sure everything was arranged and ready.
