People say that The Village at Breckenridge is in the best location, and we couldn't agree more. This ski-in/ski-out resort is right at the base of Peak 9 and one block from Main Street. This is a family-friendly resort; it has all the amenities for your family and friends to enjoy - indoor/outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs, work out room, equipment rentals on site, and more. A child care center is right on site (during ski season), and the Breckenridge Ski School is conveniently located within the complex.

The floor plan of this corner unit is one of the larger 2-BR condos in the complex at 1,186 square feet. Its split bedroom configuration is ideal - two bedrooms separated by the family room/dining area. (See more pictures at the link to my personal web site toward the bottom.) With a southeastern orientation, it is located alongside the Blue River, with views of the mountains around Mt. Baldy, Maggie Pond, the plaza and partial views of Peak 9. During the summer, enjoy the soothing sounds of the river and the people-watching while you relax with a glass of wine on the balcony!

To us this is more than an investment property; it's our second home. Like our discriminating guests, we appreciate all the fine details and finishes featured in the new luxury developments in Breckenridge. In our top-to-bottom renovations we've included all the extras: slab granite countertops, hand-textured ceilings, new alder doors and trim throughout, stainless steel kitchen appliances, high end kitchen cabinets, gorgeous slate flooring in the kitchen, front hall and entry, expanded bathrooms with custom alder vanities and two sinks, designer tile and stone, Kohler fixtures; large front hall/entry and an upgraded fireplace with a natural stone surround. Our guests appreciate the carefully selected furnishings and decor. Its style is 'mountain elegant' with a cozy and inviting feel to it. Guests tell us that it feels like home. We want you to feel that way too.

In everything we do, we think of your comfort and enjoyment as well as our own. In 2013 we splurged on a $1,200 Simmons Beautyrest king mattress for the master bedroom, keeping your comfort in mind. The queen mattress and twin daybed in the guest bedroom are less than 5 years old. We have a Graco Play 'N Pack too. We took the extra step of providing upgraded luxury linens and large sumptuous towels. And we make sure you have lots of extra pillows to choose from. We know it can be difficult for visitors, especially from the south, to adjust to the dry Colorado air (especially in the winter), so we provide two Air-O-Swiss ultrasonic humidifiers, which are among the most effective humidifiers available. Enjoy the games, puzzles, Blu-ray movies, DVD's and sleds. Curl up in front of the fireplace with a book from our library. The home theater in the family room includes a new (as of 2013) 42' Visio LED SmartTV, a built-in 5.1 stereo surround system, Blu-ray player, Sony receiver/amp and subwoofer. The 39' HDTV in the master bedroom is new as of 2013, and there's a 37' HDTV in the guest bedroom. Bring your smartphones, iPad, thumb drive or laptop, and enjoy music and videos with the best entertainment system in The Village.

              Location

              The activities listed above are either within the resort or within a few blocks. In addition, Breckenridge or Summit County also offers cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, horse-drawn carriage rides, golfing, ATV'ing, a world-class ice rink open year-round, the Peak 8 Fun Park in the summer, mine tours, outdoor music and art festivals in the summer and fall, a Rec Center with tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, skate park and many other amenities. There's always something going on in Breckenridge. In outlying areas you can enjoy river rafting on the Arkansas River, and water sports on beautiful Lake Dillon - sailing, kayaking, etc. Summit County has an extensive paved bike system; also many mountain bike trails

              About the owner: Our family lives in Lafayette (east of Boulder), north of Denver. We love Breckenridge's charm and beauty and the friendliness of its residents. Our favorite time in Breckenridge is the summer and fall, although we love winter too! I've enjoyed meeting and renting to many wonderful people from all over the US, and a few from other countries too.

              Why the Owner Chose Village at Breckenridge:
              We chose the Village at Breckenridge because of its ideal location. It's right at the base of Peak 9 and one block from downtown, so everything is within walking distance. Yet from our condo you can't hear any traffic. We really liked the layout of this condo and its southeastern orientation. The resort has an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs - a must when you have kids!

              The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
              You can't beat the convenience of ski-in/ski-out. It's nice to ski for an hour or two, come back for lunch at the condo, and then take a few more runs. Oftentimes, we'll order takeout and then settle in for the night, watching a DVD on the home theater system. We love being able to walk to our favorite restaurants. With all the high-end upgrades we've made, the condo looks luxurious like the new places, but also feels cozy and comfortable. We hope you enjoy it too!
