Over the past 13+ years, many guests have cultivated beautiful Hawaiian tans on the patio of the Tidepools suite. Situated only steps from Poipu Beach, the sunniest place on Kauai, it isn’t hard. This spacious 2br/2ba suite is at the garden level of Hale Koali Villa at Beachside Poipu. Bright and cheerful, this suite is tastefully decorated Hawaiian style and has garden views from all rooms. Poipu Beach is seen from the front patio and is a minutes walk to the water. The master bedroom has a king size bed w/air-conditioning and private bath with private access to an outdoor garden patio surrounded by lush hibiscus and areca palms. The second bedroom has a queen bed. Beautiful handmade Hawaiian bedspreads adorn the beds. A sleeper sofa in the living area makes into a queen bed for added guests.
Tidepools has a full kitchen FULLY REMODELED in MAY 2009 with granite counters with a breakfast bar and new appliances, a refrigerator with icemaker, stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, china and cookware. A TV, DVD/VCR, and stereo are located in the living area. The back deck opens onto the garden patio that has gas BBQ, tables, chairs, and lounges where you can enjoy dining or sunbathing in privacy among the tropical flowers and plants. Our guest comment says it all!
We stayed at Beachside Poipu for two of the best weeks of my life. It's the personal touches that make this place so special. To us this is the most perfect location in Poipu as it is only a minutes walk to Brennecke's Boogey Boarding Beach and Poipu Beach Park. We are one of the 3 vacation rentals this close to the beach in Poipu. We have really tried with our personal touches to make this a very special island holiday get-away without the expense of staying in a hotel. Located in this charming neighborhood creates special memories for all that have stayed with us.

We are walking distance to 3 good restaurants, Brennecke's Restaurant & Deli (best shaved ice), Casa Di Amici, and Poipu Grill located in Poipu Kai and only a minute walk to the beach!

My husband & I (Ed Sindt & Kathy Bates), bought this wonderful beach property in 1978 with thoughts of retirement close to one of the best beaches in the world!
A minute walk to Poipu Beach Park & Brennecke's Boogey Boarding Beach!
We built a home in 1988 and moved to Kauai, heaven on earth. Built a second home on property and rented it out! Alas Hurricane Iniki destroyed both houses. We relocated to California to work. Rebuilt one home and made it a vacation rental.
At last in 2002, we returned to Kauai and decided to start managing the vacation rental home ourselves. We built the second home in Poipu Hale Pua and found we longed to live upcountry and have pets again! We have a beautiful female border collie from the Kauai Humane Society, name Mele. Our neighbors in Kalaheo had a litter of Austrailan Shepard puppies where we found our dog Joe. Both give us the most joy and unconditional love!
We are very happy living on Kauai in the south shore and managing our rentals. We love meeting our guests and hearing of their adventures on island and elsewhere!
