Thank you for inquiring about the Brock Haus Sunflower Room. Located in the scenic six mile wide Upper Arkansas Valley, the efficiency has gorgeous valley and mountain views including Buffalo Peaks to the east and the fourteen thousand foot Collegiate Range to the west. Situated about three miles from town, you can enjoy these unobstructed views and not feel isolated. If you wish, you can fish for trout in Cottonwood Creek that flows through your property or in the private catch & release fishing pond or in one of the many nearby lakes and then grill and eat your catch at own picnic area.
The one-room efficiency with a split log exterior is the perfect place to relax and to be your base as you enjoy the area’s diverse activities. The interior has all of the modern comforts of home including a double bed, a private bathroom with a shower, a wood burning fireplace and a washer/dryer. The entertainment center has satellite TV and radio. The kitchenette has a microwave, a toaster oven, full sized refrigerator, and just about every kitchen gadget you could want. There is also ample supply of linens and towels.

Discount rate of $90/night given for Brock Haus Cabin guests.
Payments can be made by check or credit card.
A 4.5% non-refundable service fee is added to all credit card purchases.
A refundable deposit is required to reserve your dates.
A 7% Colorado sales tax and $40 cleaning fee is added to all rentals.

The Brockhaus family and Brock Haus Rentals have been helping individuals like you create spectacular vacation memories in the Colorado Rockies since 1992 and at the Sunflower Room since 2007. We pride ourselves in providing unique accommodations and excellent customer service.
The Sunflower Room, located three miles outside of Buena Vista, Colorado, was bought in 1992 and completely renovated by Bob and Joyce Brockhaus in 2007. Since early 2007, it has been a vacation rental home that has served as a mountain retreat from hot and sticky summers and a headquarters for fall hiking trips.
The Unique Benefits of this Efficiency
Since 2007, Bob & Joyce and their son (Rob) have opened up their Sunflower Room to friends, family and many guests who share their love for beautiful mountain views, great fishing and relaxation that can only be found in the mountains. When you arrive at the Sunflower Room and hear the gentle roar of Cottonwood Creek, see the trout jumping in the private fishing pond and stand in awe of the 14,000+ foot mountains that surround you, you can not help but feel the worries of the day-to-day life melt away.
One of our favorite “rituals” is to have breakfast/coffee out on the picnic table overlooking the creek in the morning to talk about what everyone wants to do that day. After a fun filled day of activity (fishing, shopping, rafting, skiing, reading, etc) or non-activity (naps, etc.) we reconvene for wine and cheese to discuss who is cooking dinner or what great local restaurant we are heading off to. Yep…that is our basic routine. You should try it…it is an easy lifestyle to get used to.
