Although we miss the East Side of Glacier, we now live in Whitefish Montana and offer our East Glacier home to those visiting Glacier Park. Entering our third year as a vacation home, we continue to make improvements and upgrades to the place and would be happy to have you as our guests during your visit to Montana. We are about an hour drive from St. Marys to the north and about an hour to West Glacier. For those flying into the state, Kalispell is about an hour and a half west and Great Falls is two and a half hours south east of us. Three bedrooms with queen beds and great views will brighten the start of your day. An air bed is available also. Sit in the living room with your morning coffee and view Lubeck Ridge, Calf Robe Mountain, Firebrand Pass and the occasional deer, moose, coyotes and bear that make the area their home. Everything down to the salt and pepper shakers is here for you and your family to allow you to enjoy a carefree vacation on the east side of Glacier Park. Expansive south and west facing windows give you an incredible view that makes our part of the state such a special place. Summer is approaching meaning increasing activity and the start of another vacation season. Weather is changing, snow is gone from the low lands, wild flowers are starting to bloom and the countryside is starting to green up. Animals are becoming more active and visible and are enjoying the green grass. Hiking is available as close as the back door, with many opportunities in the area. Two Medicine Lake area provides numerous hiking trails and a tour boat operates on the lake also. Being out of town, you get full benefit of moon and star lit skies as there are no city lights to interfere with nature's handiwork. Fluctuating temperatures, windy weather and long daylight hours are part of summer here in East Glacier, so be prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to offer during your stay. We are located three miles west of East Glacier on Highway 2. Close enough to town, but removed enough to let you see sunsets, stars, northern lights and nature at its best just outside the door. For large groups, such as weddings, reunions or retreats our property is adjacent to vrbo listing #118196 and both properties can be rented together to accomodate up to 16 guests.
