Our two story house features three bedrooms with queen beds and great views that provide a peaceful end to your day and brighten the start of the next one. Two bedrooms are upstairs along with a full bath and one bedroom downstairs along with bathroom, living room and kitchen/dining room. Sit in the cedar and brick living room with your morning coffee and view Lubeck Ridge, Calf Robe Mountain, Firebrand Pass and the occasional deer, moose, coyotes, elk and bear that make the area their home. Expansive south and west facing windows give incredible views that makes our part of the state such a special place. A fully equipped kitchen lets you plan meals at home or dine out at one of the local restaurants. Everything down to the salt and pepper shakers is here for you, but if you have a special request, let us know and we'll work on it.
The deck on the west and north sides of the house offers great views and deck chairs are there for your comfort. A gas barbecue and picnic table are also located on the deck for your cooking and outdoor dining use.
Hiking is available as close as the back door, with many other opportunities in the area. Two Medicine Lake area provides numerous hiking trails and a tour boat operates on the lake also. Firebrand Pass is just up the road and is a great hike.
We are located three miles west of East Glacier on Highway 2. Close enough to town, but removed enough to let you see sunsets, stars, northern lights and nature at its best just outside the door. Fluctuating temperatures, windy weather and long daylight hours are part of summer here in East Glacier, so be prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to offer during your stay.
Railroad Creek Lodging now has its own website with a picture tour of the house, a copy of the rental agreement and more information about the house. Please check it out at the link below the availability calendar near the bottom of this page. In addition to the H4 House, we have a 2009 39 foot Cyclone 5th wheel camper that we can place in a number of campgrounds for your use on the west side of Glacier Park. It has all the conveniences of home and can sleep 6-8. If you’re looking for a different experience for part of your stay, just ask for details.

My husband and I stayed in this home over Labor Day weekend. The pictures on the web site do not do justice to the views from the home. The home has big windows in the front that over look the mountains. It was wonderful to sit and drink coffee in the morning and look out those windows. The neighbors have horses and it was fun to watch them as well. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Chuck, the owner, told me that the east side of the park would be less populated during the holiday and he was correct. My husand enjoys photography and we found the east side of the park to be the most dramatic. I have recommended this property to friends and plan to stay again. If you stay here, don't miss the Whistle Stop breakfast on your way into the park!

My boyfirend (now husband) and i rented this house along with friends during our wedding weekend. this house was great! it was in a beautiful location. the house is set back on a large piece of property. the views are a amazing since you look onto the mountains of glacier national park. the house is a 3 bedroom/2 bath with lots of space. One of the bedrooms has an additional bedroom attached to it, so it is really a 4 bedroom. i thought the pics on the internet made the place look a little small, but i found it to be very spacious and clean. the owners left all the essitials (towels, toilet paper, kitchenware, etc.) making it that much easier to enjoy ourselves. i highly recommend this place if you like something off the beaten path and want to do a little exploring on your own. it is a couple miles outside of town (East Glacier Park, MT), near the park entrance of Two Medicine. great for people who like to relax and getaway from everyone else. my family also rented the houses listed with Lone Elk Lodge, which is on a bordering property. By renting all the units on both listings, we had more than enough space for the whole family and didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone. hope you book your next vacation at this spot!

Our first time in Montana. Hope to come back again. If we do we will come back here. It was a wonderful place to come back to after visiting & exploring the park. It was like coming back to your own home. Quiet, peaceful, and everything you needed there. Couldn't have made a better choice. Thanks for the great experience.

Our family of 4 stayed at Railroad Creek for a month and adored it! I would never leave if I had the option. The house is much more spacious and beautiful than the pictures show with stunning views of the mountains and wildlife venturing even in to the front yard! It was spectacular. The owners were extremely kind and helpful, ready to answer questions, give tours, and fix anything if needed. The stay was quiet and private, yet we were so close to tons of hiking and exploring. It was fantastic and I hope to go back.

We stayed at the Railroad Creek Lodge on a recent snowmobiling trip, and it was great! The lodge is like a home away from home, great views, warm atmospheres, and very comfortable. The location is close to town and all the outdoor recreation in the area. We definitely will make a return visit!!

We stayed at Chuck and Vicki Holbrook’s vacation home near EastGlacier for 7 nights in June 2008. This may sound exaggerated, but we can truthfully say it was the most relaxing stay we’ve ever had anywhere. We chose it for our first stop on our first trip to Glacier National Park because we were looking for somewhere quiet with good access to the park, with nice scenery from the windows, and with all the comforts of home. Chuck was fast and friendly inanswering our questions via e-mail and on the phone. Among his answers were: yes, we could arrive as late as we needed to and let ourselves in, and yes, the phone would let us call an 800 number (so we could use a telephone calling card). When we bought groceries before we arrived, we purchased items such as laundry detergent and drinking water, but it turned out we needn’t have – Chuck and Vicki had a good supply right there. They really did have everything “down to the salt and pepper shakers.” One item we should have brought with us that many vacationers may not need is an iron. Chuck and Vicki also had a number of good reference books and trail guides handy in the living room. With the plentiful windows (which do have shades), we felt like we were part of the great Montana outdoors even when we were inside the house. Beyond the meadows and woods, we enjoyed gazing at the mountains, which still had large white patches from a recent snowfall. We slept in the main bedroom at the west end, where we could see the dawn glow on the mountains and watch for early-morning wildlife. Because we were usually asleep in the remarkable quiet, we didn’t spot much wildlife, but we did see a coyote and acouple of deer.If we listened carefully at night, we could manage to hear the occasional train a quarter of a mile away at its closest, but it passes behind hills and is very quiet from the house. For an astronomy bug like me, the location offers a nice dark sky. We’re looking forward to coming back to Glacier National Park. It’s a special place. When we do, we definitely want to stay at the Holbrooks’ vacation home again. It’s a special place, too.

June 26th & 27th 2008: We enjoyed our two day stay at the Holbrook home. With convenient access to the east entrance to Glacier Park, we had a short drive to begin our day. The view from the house is very nice and we slept well without any noise from the road or from neighbors. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and the home was very comfortable. We would stay here again if we return to East Glacier.

A life long dream to visit Glacier National Park comes true! Three of us from Arizona (Tom fm Phoenix, Beverly fm Chandler, and myself fm Scottsdale) started planning for this extended 9nt/10day "day hiking trip" to GNP (for period 6/28 to 7/7/08) back in Aug'07. This was a "big deal" for us as we planned on driving a total of 2600mls to/fm and wanted to be absolutely certain that we picked-out the best rental home possible in East Glacier Park, MT. that would have everything we needed for a rewarding stay: all those comfortable country "home away from home" amenities with remoteness, privacy, scenic location, and quick highway access to all major GNP Sections. Upon our arrival Sat-6/28 we had the good fortune of meeting and visiting with the H-4 homeowners- Chuck & Vicki Holbrook. After our long 2.5 day drive it was a pleasure to know that we had made the correct decision. We three settled-in very quickly in this spacious, nicely designed and renovated family home with many large windows throughout which allowed for some terrific snow-capped mountain views to the west into GNP. I was lucky enough to have the master bedroom, where in summer, one can lay in bed at night and view these beautiful mountain peaks until 10:30pm..and..our for our first morning we were greeted with a sighting of a mother Moose from the large downstairs family room west windows! For the three of us who had a wonderful 10 day stay at this H-4 rental house, we can reconfirm that Chuck & Vicki's listing statement below is "right-on": "Everything down to the salt and pepper shakers is here for you and your family to allow you to enjoy a carefree vacation on the east side of Glacier Park. Expansive south and west facing windows give you an incredible view that makes our part of the state such a special place." We hope you enjoy your stay at Chuck & Vicki's H-4 rental home as much as we did..

My wife and I decided to take the kids and spend Christmas in East Glacier away from home. We were very fortunate to find this wonderful home and rented it for four days. We finally had our white Christmas our family wanted. The cabin fit our needs perfectly and the hospitality of the Holbrooks was well above the the norm. They even put up a small tree for us to decorate. We highly recommend if you stay in East Glacier and want a cabin style house with all the comforts of home, contact the Holbrooks. We have even talked about renting it again in the future and having more family come with us.

We enjoyed a very cozy New Years weekend at the guest house. It is well equipped and maintained and met our needs perfectly. The proximity to terrific skiing on Marias Pass is a great benefit; we would recommend it also to summer visitors who would like to hike on the east side of the park.
