Beautiful and better than seen in pictures! The views from the house and deck are incredible. So close to the water it was easy to keep an eye on the kids on the doc and in the water from the deck. (They didn’t know we could hear them talking :D) The house has everything you would need for your stay. The information received before our arrival was very helpful. The kayaks, life vests, floats, fishing gear and floating beer cooler were appreciated. Easy to get to, less than 20 minutes from a small town called Andrews. Rented a boat for the weekend and left it tied to the dock the whole time. Plenty to do nearby without a long drive. Loved, loved, loved it! M. We have returned from a week at this lovely house feeling rested and refreshed. The house is as described and pictured and is perfectly equipped with everything you might need. We had great fun playing ping pong, kayaking on the lake, cooking out on the grill, reading, napping, and most of all enjoying the cool breezes and warm sunshine. The view is wonderful, and it is nice to be closer down toward the lake vs. way up at the top like so many other homes are. Every evening at around 8:15pm we enjoyed watching the bats emerge from the bat house below the deck - what fun! The ownr was very accomodating and responsive. A Great Week!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We returned recently from a wonderful two-week visit to this lovely home on the shores of Lake Nantahala. The accommodations were great, the kitchen is well stocked with matching silverware and everything is in tip-top condition. In fact, we found everything as described on VRBO, and the housekeeper did a wonderful job making everything clean and polished before we arrived. We have rented many homes and condos over the years through VRBO throughout the E & SE US and into Canada. We put this property at the TOP of our list for places that we want to return to. If you are looking for tranquility, and if you enjoy the pristine waters and mountains of North Carolina, this is the place for you. Nearby activites that we enjoyed while there: Fishing on Lake Nantahala, feeding the ducks from the dock (a favorite daily activity for my children), NOC Rafting, the restaurants at NOC, hiking a portion of the Bartram Trail, renting a boat and waterskiing on the lake, swinging on the rope swings, driving up to Wayah Bald where we could see all the way to TN, enjoying the outside fireplace on the deck, going to sleep to the sounds of crickets and waking to the sounds of birds, attending Sunday services at a small-town church in Andrews. We had a wonderful time, and left with many happy memories and the strong desire to return. We look forward to our next trip to the mountains and think this property would be a wonderful place to stay in every season.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

The amenities and spectacular view will provide my wife and I memories for a lifetime. I would recommend this beautiful piece of heaven on earth to anyone wishing for a serene getaway. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, the beautiful view, and renting a pontoon boat at the nearby marina for funfilled excursions on the lake. Everything is as wonderful as pictured. The owner was extremely easy to work with and accomodating. Plan a stay. You will not be disapppointed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We found this lake home to be very relaxing & well maintained, The home was equipped with everything we needed & the beds were very comfortable. We even loved cooking on the grill because we were not rushed; we ate on the deck overlooking the lake every night and of course we used the fire pit on those chilly mountain nights. We highly recommend this home for a romantic get away.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
