Live like a New Yorker in a wonderful pocket of the Upper West Side. At one end of our street is Broadway with numerous restaurants, clubs, ice cream shoppes and outdoor cafes. At the other end is Riverside Park with walking, jogging and bicycle paths overlooking the Hudson River. Subway (#1) and bus (M104, M4) connections to all areas of the city are right at our corner! Supermarkets, banks, drug stores, and Starbucks are within one block.
This friendly neighborhood is historically favored by people in the arts and academia. It is characterized by stately prewar architecture and abundant green space, including the Columbia University campus four blocks away. It serves as both a serene and vibrant base to return to at the end of a busy day of sightseeing.

We are located on a quiet tree lined street between Broadway and Riverside Drive. The Columbia University campus is 4 blocks up Broadway. A Farmers Market is held there on Thursdays and Sundays year round. The Cathedral of St. John the Divine is one avenue east of us. Riverside Church and Grant's Tomb are 10 blocks to the North. The Riverside Drive promenade is at the end of our street, and steps lead down into the park itself where you can enjoy walking, jogging, and bicycle paths, ballfields, playgrounds and even an outdoor cafe overlooking the Hudson river (seasonal).
Within a few blocks in either direction on Broadway, you can find American, French, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Korean, Cuban, and Middle Eastern restaurants, as well as Tom's Restaurant of 'Seinfeld' fame. (Many of these will deliver if you're too exhausted to venture out at night.) 4 blocks away is one of the city's best jazz clubs, 'Smoke', with 3 sets nightly and an excellent dinner and brunch menu.
Also within a few blocks are Pinkberry, Crumbs, Chipotle and Haagen Daaz.
We are 4 subway stops on the #1 train from the Museum of Natural History, 6 from Lincoln Center, 9 from Times Square. The M4 bus at our corner follows a scenic route along the periphery of Central Park, stopping at all the Fifth Avenue Museums along the way (Met, Gugghenheim, MOMA).
We've lived in this neighborhood for 30 years and absolutely love it! We think you will too.
