We had a great stay in Maui and this condo was everything it was advertised as and so much more. The accommodations are all top notch and the interior decorations make you feel you are staying in someones lavishly furnished apartment. Marianne is so easy to work with and provides you with all of the information you need to make your stay very enjoyable and relaxing. The grounds are meticulously kept clean daily and the ocean is literally feet from the balcony. We snorkeled just off the beach and even swam with turtles. The weather was beautiful most of the time were there and even if rained in the morning, we'd see full rainbows over the ocean once the clouds cleared. Some nights we would eat out while others we would barbecue and eat dinner on the balcony. The farmers market just down the road is a great place to get fruits and vegetables and pineapple scones. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I are very picky travelers, and this was one of the most wonderful vacation stays we've had in a long time. Everything in the condo was very high quality, from the linens on the beds to the kitchen utensils provided. And most importantly, everything was impeccably clean- I didn't see any dust or bugs the entire week we stayed there. This is the best condo in the entire complex, hands down. The website pictures do not do it justice-- it's gorgeous and very well-maintained. The location of this condo is also amazing-- far enough away from the crowds and tourists so that it's quiet, but only a short car ride away if you want to stroll Lahaina to do some shopping or have dinner. The beach feels very private- we were often the only ones on it! You can swim with the turtles every morning, and have a romantic balcony dinner watching the sunset in the evenings. And during the daytime you get to choose between the floating in the kidney-shaped saline pool or snorkeling in the crystal clear ocean. What could be better? We are already planning to stay here again next year. Thanks again to Dean & Marianne for sharing such an amazing piece of paradise!!! Aloha!

Paradise away from home!

WOW....really....that sums it up....the minute you step into the condo...wow!!! 5 stars doesn't do it justice! Everyone was talking about how nice our condo was and the immaculate condition and design put into making it comfortable and luxurious! We were so happy to have all the "odds n ends" at our beckon call....baggies; soap; paper towels; towels; comfy pillows and beds; spices; you name it....so handy to have! We made slushies every day with the blender...and had a constant supply of ice cubes. That lovely bathroom....wow! LOVED the design...gonna copy some of those ideas! We went home with many Honu items to decorate our hot tub area with...not to mention the Humu fish! That aloha decorating bug hits you hard! LOL! This place is close to everything you need; grocery stores; venues; but far enough away from all the concrete jungle of humans by Kanaapali....we ALWAYS ended up going back to H Nikko for snorkelling and relaxing....people spent a fortune on catamaran snorkel trips...we just drove to Honolua Bay for free....and STILL ended back at our own beach for the best snorkelling...we will miss our favorite turtles...stubby(missing a fin); tumor(he has bumps all over him); giganto(bigger than us!) and many others...we saw an octopus; eel; and so many fish-the books couldn't do the ocean floor justice! My kids swam in the ocean out front EVERYDAY; THEN they swam in the pool til 9pm! They had fun finding the geckos and playing in the sand. What a beautiful place...I felt safe with us all in the water; and safe in the condo...we left the screens open everynight when we went to bed....never a problem. Safe and secure area. The other guests were friendly and we shared stories; places to go; and wandered into each other's place for a peak...EVERYONE loved our condo the best(wtg Marianne and Dean!). size; decor; and comfort....and there's everything you could ever need in there! We sat with all the other guests on thurs night for pu pus....it was fun! We sat on the lanai EVERY night...ate; watched sunset; stargazed; had early bedtimes; early morning rises; watched the rainbows; got sunscreened up and out to Lanai; all snorkel areas; Napili Beach; Honolua Bay and the blow hole! Haleakala crater was awesome at 5 am too! You can drive to all places with ease from this location. Exquisite. Beautiful view... comfy place....we will be back for sure! It was truly a dream vacation! Thank you Marianne and Dean for sharing this wonderful condo!

My new wife and I spent our honeymoon in Marianne & Dean's condo at Hoyochi Nikko. In fact, we're still here, but we love it so much that we wanted to get to writing our review. We reserved the condo based on reading other positive reviews, and they were by no means inaccurate. This place is fantastic. I am typically the type who gets bored of being on vacation after 5 days, and I usually want to go home. Not here! We're currently 7 days in, and I am honestly wishing it were still 7 days ago. We've done so much, and had so much fun - and we still have 4.5 more days! Marianne's service is outstanding. I am not sure I have ever encountered a vacation rental owner so outgoing, and so willing to offer her excellent advice on what to do and what to see while in Maui. Marianne provided us with a full book of things to do, based on her own experiences (and on the feedback of others). The condo was very clean upon our arrival, and the updated kitchen & bath is great (was it really necessary to install Viking appliances in a rental?? We don't know, but we are thrilled that you did!) The view from the lanai is like no other - on a clear day, you can see 2 islands, and my wife received a massage from Makai Massage on the lanai. What an experience! We have nothing but great things to say about staying here. We spent a few day just hanging out in the back, swimming in the ocean and the pool, grilling food, having drinks in the sun... and many other days ziplining, jet skiiing, at a luau, on a dinner cruise, at nice restaurants on the ocean, etc. An awesome vacation and most definitely a place that I would come back to. We got an amazing deal on the condo as Marianne is a wonderful woman! Thank you so much... we are beyond satisfied. Nidhi and Brian

ALOHA - Oh my goodness, where do I start. Probably with manners first. Thank you so very much for making your home away from home available to us! We had an absolute wonderful time. First off, the view of the ocean from the lanai is absolutely breathtaking! The condo was super duper clean - I would even say meticulous! You and Dean did not skimp on a single thing in the condo. Upgraded appliances, utensils, etc. You even have great baggies to use for packing lunches for those day trips! The decor was beautiful! I am totally going to copy you on the shower floor! Your book of things to do is awesome! You have already done the homework! All anyone needs to do is show up and begin their vacation! I especially loved the snorkeling out in front of the condo! Who needs Black Rock! I swam with a turtle, I saw a small white eel looking thingy with black dots, a black puffer fish with white dots and lots of fish with stripes! It was so great! Oh yeah not to mention the nightly visits from the turtles by the sea wall! They just swam around and bobbed there heads above water as if to say howdy! I named those two turtles Maui and Zippy. (I am a freak - but who cares!)We loved having dinners on the lanai and watching the sunset almost every night! The mornings are so beautiful too! What a great way to wake up and be alive! The condo/grounds are well groomed and quiet! It was like our own paradise! Anyone reading this - really needs to look NO FURTHER! This condo has it all - even laundry soap! Are you kidding me? Who does that?! I am so happy I found this ad. We will be back. In fact - Can I just live there? I will be your bestest pal ever! LOL - Mahalo Mahalo and many thousand more Mahalos! We loved it! Owner response:Homeowner Response: Thank you!! You know, I tend to retain great friendships with the majority of my Maui guests but I HAVE to say that I am SO ELATED that we have met!! You are a sweetie! You know how I do not like 'bad energy' in my properties and I know that I NEVER have to worry about that with you! No negative attitudes allowed!! hahah Thank you for the 'appreciation' of clean! It is really a lot of work to make sure that it is so perfect for every guest so I truly do appreciate when people notice! Even with today’s economy, you will never have to worry about any cut backs on quality of cleanliness of condo or anything else in general! I have had so many comments that so many of the 'little things' like kitchen utensils, plush towels, and million dollar soap dispensers (inside joke - haha) just amaze guests. But, the little things are, personally, what makes the HUGE difference especially if you are comparing condos. For instance, and as you know now, the ‘ocean equipment’ that I left for you, etc. end up saving you hundreds of dollars that I do not advertise about at all! I want people to WANT to stay at our places because they LOVE IT and not just for the freebee things! Those things are just bonuses!! Again, I apologize to all the husbands that have remarked that their 'great deal in Maui staying at our condo rather than a more expensive hotel' that actually ended up costing them more money since they have had to remodel their kitchens and baths once they return home from our condo due to their wives loving our kitchen and bath upgrades and decor! But I am sure all of the wives deserve it!! Hint-hint David!! haha I have had so many guests raving about all the great snorkeling out front in the past few months! I LOVE it! Yes, we have had soooooooooo much turtle action in front of the condos for years now! I have named a few turtles, manta rays, dolphins and sea munks myself. I love all the really big ones! I am glad the Tide soap made you happy! See – the little things!!! I have to agree that I do not know of many other owners (which are, also, friends) that leave all the little things like I do ~ i.e. floating noodles, baggies, foil, boogie boards, garbage bags, etc.. Not that that is a bad thing since, honestly, sometimes it is a big hassle to make sure all those things are stocked and sometimes every single thing that I like to provide for guests. Thank You so much Marianne and Dean for sharing your piece of paradise with my family. This comment has long been over due from me...but then again I have been in denial ever since returning back to the main land ;) We had a great time spending my husband's 3 week sabbactical/40th birthday in Maui. Our girls had a blast playing everyday in the VERY private pool and beach. It felt like the whole complex was our very own little island. Absolutely heaven for all of us! It has been four months since we were there in August and still wish we could be there. Thank you for taking great care of us and doing all you did to ensure our stay was to our liking. We can't wait to be back again and be a part of your vacationing families ;)

Actually, the majority of our guests have been ending up being our friends which has been fabulous since you can never have too many friends!! Thank-you so much for providing such an awesome place for us to vacation in. Your condo is great with beautiful special touches. My family...daughter (15 yrs) son (19 yrs.) had a ball and we were thrilled to be able to include my mom on our second week. The boys loved playing many of the golf courses close by while the girls enjoyed snorkelling with the turtles out front and watching lots of whales from the lanai. We also enjoyed a fabulous snorkel cruise with Maui Island Adventures and saw spinner dolphins, many whales and snorkelled at two beautiful spots. What amazing memories we have made in such a beautiful place. We will be back and are so thankful for such wonderful hosts of this awesome condo. Dear Marianne and Dean, WOW!!! What an AMAZING condo!!! It is EXQUISITELY decorated and IMMACULATE!!!! We loved all the first class touches... the flooring, granite, ceiling fans, the comfortable pillows and beds, and the million dollar view. This was by far the nicest place we have ever rented. The boys loved the loft. It is spacious and you can hear the ocean. Thank you for sharing such a gorgeous home!!! We saw whales from the lanai every day!!! We hope to return! Aloha Dean & Marianne, WOW!!! Your condo, the pool, and the entire complex are absolutely fabulous. It felt so much like home we wished that we could stay forever. The location is superb and the "views" are simply breathtaking! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet that separates Hoyochi Nikko from the larger condo complexes. This was the best vacation that Pamela & I have ever taken. We had it all...georgeous weather, cruisin' in our convertible, fabulous dining experiences, lots of whales, unbelievable snorkeling, helicopter to Haleakala, and 12 hours on the "road to Hana". Your "Aloha Book" came in really handy and your recommendations were "right on". We cannot thank you enough for the part that you have played in helping us to create such wonderful memories. What a wonderful place to spend Christmas!!! We had such a lovely stay in this wonderful condo. The condo is immaculate. The view is divine. Body boarding off the condo's own beach in the morning and snorkeling and swimming in the afternoon was great. I went down to the Hyatt in Kaanapali for a massage at the spa and was horrified with the hoards of people crowded around their pool. No problem with crowds at Hoyochi Nikko! We practically had the place to ourselves. We can't wait to come back. It's a wonderful place!

We just returned from a stay at the condo a few weeks ago and I cant stop my boys from asking "when are we going back to Maui?". After several days at hotels in Kaanapali and Wailea, it was so enjoyable to stay at the Grezlak's amazing condo. It is sized perfectly and allowed our kids to have some room to spread after being cramped in a hotel for 5 days. The size of the complex made it feel like we were at our own private beach house, and the snorkeling right off the back was great. We will be staying there again, hopefully soon!

Aloha! I think your condo is in one of the greatest propery's on West Maui, the location is excellent the size of the property is small and quiet with a great swimming pool and the steps that lead you down to the beach make it so easy to go snorkeling and surfing. Your unit is GEORGEOUS and yet still homey! The new kitchen and bathroom turned out so nice we love the way you did the loft bedroom with the big fans and the decoraing is impecable. The granite in the kitchen and bath really made the unit classy. I would rather stay at this condo than any of the first class hotels especially for the price. Watching the sunset from the large lani is a major bonus and beeing able to watch the whales and turtles is incredible. Thankyou so much for making our vacation the most memorable trip ever. Owner response:Aloha!! Dean and I are very fortunate to be able to own a condo in this complex. Being such a small complex gives our guests so much privacy. You don't have the 20 rows of 40 lounge chairs with tons of noise at the pool like many of the surrounding hotels - thank goodness!!! Our guests love the easy access to the ocean also. Dean and I literally roll out of bed some morning and practically sleep walk down to the ocean to snorkel with the sea turtles and fish! Life just doesn't get much better than that!!! We kayak, in the ocean right in front of the condo, during whale season into the AU AU Channel (only yards away) and the whales will come up to you (with their babies)and check you out. That is the most exciting (and scariest)thing that my husband and I love to do in Maui. We look forward to it every year. Lets plan a time together next year, during whale season, that we can meet up in Maui and go out there together. You will LOVE IT!!! Marianne Marianne

Dear Dean and Marianne Grzelak, I wanted to write and thank you for the wonderful time my family and I had while vacationing at your condo on Maui. The condo was beautiful and was perfect for our family with the large loft. My wife and I brought our two kids with us and we all loved your place. I am so glad I found your listing with VRBO, and it is "the best". The kids loved being right on the water. They had a blast snorkeling and my son tried to surf for the first time. The direct ocean access made our teenagers very happy, they both love the water! The location was perfect, so close to everything. And thank you for the activity advice. We went on a whale watch and saw tons of whales (funny thing is we saw even more just sitting on the lanai having coffee in the mornings then we did on the watch). Wow – this place was fabulous! I can’t believe how close we were to the ocean. Thank you so much for sharing your “home away from home” with us. This was our first experience renting a privately owned condo (rather than staying in a hotel or resort) and we will never again be staying in a regular hotel. The privacy and luxury of your condo far surpasses anything a hotel could offer. I told you a little bit about how I am a "neat freak" and your place was so clean it definitely passed the test. We felt so relaxed and really enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The condo had every amenity we could have ever desired. The location was perfect, it is close to everything. And the quality of everything was soooo first class. We were able to see the sea turtles out feeding on the rocks every morning while we sat on the lanai and had breakfast. We also saw tons of Manta Rays while we snorkeled out in front of the condo. Please keep us on your email list for all your wonderful specials; we will definitely be returning next year!
