This beautiful home sits on 10 acres on the Saco river in Maine. Built in 2001, this home features beautiful woodwork and hardwood floors. Just installed- an outdoor hot tub outside on the deck with a roof. The family room boasts a cathedral ceiling and dramatic floor to ceiling windows. A woodstove and ceiling fan completes this room. The kitchen has tile floors, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances and a separate dining area with slider out to one of the large decks. The master bedroom suite is on the first floor with a full bath. Two more bedrooms are on the second floor with another full bath. There is also a washer and dryer in the house. We have just added wireless internet service and a telephone.
The river is approximately 400 feet from the house. The property is very wooded and there is 650 feet of river frontage on the property. The Saco River is extremely clean for swimming and has a sandy bottom. It is a wooded river bank setting. Canoes and kayaks are allowed on the Saco, but nothing motorized. Swans Falls is nearby and is an excellent place for fishing.
We enjoy vacationing here because it offers us serenity and privacy with a 100 acre preserve and a multitude of outdoor experiences at our fingertips. If you crave activities of a different nature (dining,movies,shopping) North Conway is nearby and offers many amenities and stunning views of the Mount Washington Valley.

Home did not have power, running water (including flushing toilet) for the first 3 days, and property was flooded during the last four days. Contacted owner with concerns and was told it was all unforseeable.
Owner response:The day these guests arrived everything was operational and as advertised. Unfortunately for all parties, Hurricane Irene struck the area which caused the property to lose power for two days. Since well water comes from an electric pump there was also no water during this time. The land adjacent to the river was flooded, not the immediate yard, house or driveway. We have refunded the guests for those two nights. This situation has never occurred in the seven years we've owned the property, and was a direct result of Irene.

The six of us had a great time. The river was great, a little hard to get in or out but once you are in - good sandy spot to swim. The house was great and very clean. Saw some wildlife, enjoyed the time away. We went to Sebago Lake State Park had an excellent time, only a 1/2 hour away, Went swimming off the Kangamangus Hwy. at lower, falls kids loved that place, we have been before. I would recommend this to anyone as long as you do not mind being a little isolated. The Owners were very nice and easy to deal with No Complaints about this place at all. -- The Bucciero's

We just arrived home from a great week in Brownfield. The house is beautiful and the scenery breathtaking. So relaxing to sit on the front porch with your morning cup of coffee and listen to the birds. If you are looking for a place to unwind from the stress of everyday life, this is definitely the place to go. My husband is already planning another trip here for 2 weeks next time.
