Deep Water Home on Lady's Island

Located just 4 miles south of Historic Downtown Beaufort and 9 miles from Parris Island, our four bedroom, three bath waterfront home sits on a beautiful 180 acre island covered with moss draped oaks and over 2 miles of surrounding deep water creeks. 

This home features a large open den with wet bar overlooking the indoor pool, hot tub, and beautiful creeks. The large master suite has a king bed, private full bath, & sitting area.

This home is very comfortable and spacious, with tile & wood flooring, a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel kitchen appliances, & furnished with antiques from Bali & Indonesia.  The house has an office area with internet access, laundry room with washer & dryer, Central Heat/AC, and many other amenities.  From the backyard you will have spectacular views of the creeks that surround Beaufort, dolphins playing and boats passing. 

Downtown Beaufort is approximately a 5 minute drive, offering wonderful low country dining, shopping, fine art galleries, and unique sightseeing. 

Ten miles south is one of South Carolina's most popular and yet unknown beaches, Hunting Island, which offers beautiful natural beaches, tropical scenery, lagoons, and wildlife. Both Fripp and Harbor Island are very close.

Charleston is approximately an hour drive north, and Hilton Head Island is about a 40 minute drive south. Golf is available at several locations in the area, with Hilton Head and Bluffton providing world class courses. Savannah, Georgia is less than an hours drive south, and Parris Island is within 10 miles, making this a truly convenient location.

  • My family and I came down for my nephew's graduation from the Marines. Being able to stay in such a large, beautiful house made all the difference for our trip. After each days events it was nice to come "home" sit around, cook and just visit. Had we been in hotel rooms we would of been sitting on beds visiting and eating fast food. This house truely made a difference and the owners were a pleasure to work with. We were able to give my nephew a proper graduation party afterwards and spend a couple of extra days with him as he has volunteered to go to Iraq once all of his training is completed.   • I cannot say enough about the wonderful time we had in this home. Our oldest son was graduating from Parris Island, and are other 4 kids and my parents all stayed comfortably in the house. The kids loved the spa and pool. They even caught crab off the dock and watch dolphins go by. We highly recommend this as an alternative to a hotel. We love the cook and eveything was there that we needed. Thanks so much for a great experience!

  • This home is spacious, comfortable and absolutely beautiful! My husband and I stayed here with our adult children and their aunts and spent a lovely week enjoying the area before my son's wedding in Beaufort. The furnishings are elegant and tasteful. We felt at home by day, at night we slept in luxury. My family thoroughly enjoyed coffee by the water, kayaking and watching dolphins from the dock. We had a wonderful time exploring downtown Beaufort. I am looking forward to returning to this lovely home.

  • Just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated our stay. Our son, Brian, just graduated from Marine Recruit Training and was pleasantly surprised when he arrived at the Distant Island home! He loved the hot tub. The view of the sunrise on the water was just beautiful. We are all sorry we couldn't stay longer.   • Elizabeth, Mark and Nathan - We had the most spectacular trip to South Carolina, more specifically, to your beautiful home on Distant Island! Never in our wildest dreams, could we have imagined a more beautiful, welcoming, tranquil and relaxing home. Everything was absolutely terrific - your website does not do the home justice. Our two adult sons enjoyed the warm weather and golfing, both on Lady's Island and Hilton Head. Tony had the most relaxing vacation he's enjoyed in years. I walked daily and thoroughly enjoyed the spa and the pool - it was warm enough on Wednesday and Thursday for me to swim in the pool - and it was just terrific! It was difficult to leave, but we left knowing we'd be back, both to South Carolina, and to your home.   • This house is truly amazing. We have been coming to Beaufort for years and this is by far the nicest home we have found for rent. The location near town on deepwater is impossible to beat.   • The pictures on the internet do not do this property justice. It really is a “must see to believe”. Our family has been to many vacation rentals which have all been nice, but you know you are walking into a generic vacation rental. This one is set up so that you feel like you are walking into a home. We took our 4 adult children for a family trip and there was plenty of space for us all to come together comfortably, as well as plenty of spaciousness to allow for privacy from each other when the need arose. The wildlife on the island is something else. Egrets and herons, raccoons, families of deer and even a buck. My son found the crabbing to be excellent! I had my doubts when he used catfood, but they seemed to love it. We have recommended this home to our friends and would definitely like to come back!
