We welcome you to a craftsman’s style cottage, nestled amongst the trees, in a quiet cove on Smith Lake. Enjoy a quiet evening sitting outdoors on one of the multiple decks overlooking the lake. Warm yourself from the evening chill wrapped in a blanket, comforted by the flickering light from the outdoor fire pit. The sounds of the woodlands at twilight are enhanced by the view of the moon glistening on the water. So very peaceful!
Awake in the morning, alive and refreshed. Serve yourself a steaming hot cup of coffee in a beautiful, well-stocked kitchen. Casually walk outside to the screen porch and settle in the quaint outdoor seating area. Here you smile and breathe in the fresh air as you listen to the sounds of the wildlife on the lake. You’ll find an unusual sense of energy in this 3000 sq ft, two story home, snuggled in, just a few steps from the lake.
Equal distance from both Birmingham and Huntsville, just 6 miles from Hwy 65 (Exit 304), this lake house cottage could be your get-a way from it all.
The home has an inviting covered front porch and plenty of parking for your family and friends. As you enter the front door, you are welcomed by the main living area, decorated in a rustic, but luxurious style with a gorgeous planked vaulted ceiling and large windows looking out over the lake.
The main level features a large Master with it’s own set of french doors leading out to the main deck. The ensuite bath features a Jacuzzi tub, large counter space and an over sized shower with a refreshing rain head. A second bedroom is just down the hall from the Master, which offers two twin beds and is next to the main floor full bath.
The beautifully crafted kitchen is well stocked and features all stainless appliances. The island in the kitchen faces the open floor plan of the main living area and dinning room, allowing you to always be a part of the action.
The dining area easily seats 8 with an additional 3 seats at the counter. Additional folding tables and chairs are provided. The home has a laundry area equipped with a full size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and even a few laundry baskets.
The loft area is decorated in a sweet southern style with a daybed and pop-up trundle, the perfect little girls hang out, including a trunk of dolls to play with.
The lower level currently offers an additional bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath. We are adding a fourth bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, as well as an awesome rec area with 51” TV with DirecTV and a DVD player, pool table, ping pong and a wet bar. Renovations should be completed by early Spring, 2012.
The home gets good AT&T and Verizon 3G coverage, and has broadband WIFI Internet. Everything you need to ensure you can stay in contact with all your friends that are working while you chill out at the lake.

Why the Owner Chose Cullman
We purchased a lake house on Smith Lake, because we have enjoyed visiting and doing all the lake offers over the past few years. We knew that others would enjoy it too.
We are almost next door neighbors with Smith Lake City Park, where they have a pool, putt-putt, activities, festivals, etc.
Nice convenience store with just about anything you need, including DVD rentals, fishing accessories, gas and limited groceries.
All the conveniences of town, just minutes from On A Whim

This is the perfect get away; the house has all the amenities you would ever need. It's clean and well furnished. If you are looking for a relaxing time, this is the place to go. It even comes with a lovable bob tailed cat.

This is the perfect lakehouse getaway! It's clean, well furnished, and located on a nice quiet cove. Great for fishing, swimming, or just relaxing on the screened porch or one of the decks. Lots of room. Great view too!
