Lovely Little Spot

This unit has one of the best views in the whole condo complex. We liked the layout of the unit. The owner was very responsive and nice. I let her know that there was a little ant problem and that the teflon frying pans were trashed and she responded quickly and said she would take care of both issues right away. There were a couple of items that could probably use updating due to the normal ocean air deterioration. I.e. the patio chairs were pretty rusty as well as a few of the metal kitchen utensils. The entrainment equipment was really nice and the TV service was great. The bed was comfortable. Overall though, a real nice place!

Wonderful location!

Condo location/view were amazing. Communication with Susan was great, and she responded quickly to any questions. Things like towels, mattress, and some kitchen amenities could use some sprucing up, but otherwise, I would rent it again based on our stay. Mahalo!

Lovely Get Away

My husband and I have stayed in this complex before and find it is perfect for our needs. It is close enough to downtown Kona to walk in and convenient to beaches to the south and quiet. The pool and outdoor grills are great. This condo had a perfect unobstructed view of the ocean and we could sit at the table on the porch for breakfast or the couch for cocktails at sunset. The kitchen has 3 coffee makers (drip, kurig and French press) and adequate dishes and cooking equipment. There were also beach supplies including chairs, coolers and snorkeling equipment (we had our own so did not explore). There were multiple ceiling fans so we did not miss air conditioning and it has a washer and drier. The only issues we had were there were some small mites in both the kitchen and bathroom sinks, but they disappeared toward the end of our stay. Most importantly we chose the refundable damage deposit rather than pay for insurance since two people in their 60s and 70s don’t typically incur a lot of damage. I sent a message as we were leaving about the timeline and process for refunding this deposit but have not received a reply and it has been 2.5 weeks. If this is resolved, we would absolutely ok again

Just what we ordered

Great spot that was close enough to walk to town from. Was a little stuffy with no AC, but there were plenty of fans to remedy that. Key no longer gets you in the pool- you now need a code.

Amazing ocean view!

Lovely condo with a fabulous ocean view for sunset watching. Excellent king bed. Pool is good size with ample lounge chairs.

Kona has been my home since 1982. I began a career in Real Estate sales shortly thereafter, specializing on the Kona Coast since 1986 (and I am presently licensed as a Real Estate Broker with Compass - Lic#RB-15047). Scuba and golf are favorite pasttimes of mine. I also have a Special Needs Child and we are very active with Special Olympics, Theraputic Horsemanship of Hawaii and Volunteering for many local charities. We feel very blessed to live, work and play in such a beautiful place.

Why they chose this property

I LOVE KONA! We just live 10 minutes up the hill and on weekends when the unit isn't occupied I love coming down to enjoy this oceanside setting and hanging out by the pool! Everyone is so friendly and happy. It's vacationing in our own backyard pretty much and it makes me appreciate Hawaii even more!

What makes this property unique

The ocean is mesmerizing and it is so enjoyable to watch it while sitting on the lanai morning, noon or night! While other Alii Villas guests have to stroll down to the water's edge to enjoy a sunset, we get to enjoy it from our unit! I can't tell you the number of times my friends, clients or guests ask if I would consider selling this unit, because they would want first dibs. That says a lot right there, but there is only so much oceanfront property on an Island, so I am pretty blessed to have my own little piece of it!
