Beautiful views from a cute cottage on Lake Armington in Piermont, New Hampshire. Lake Armington is located approximately 30 miles north of Hanover (home to Dartmouth College). The surrounding area to the Northeast is part of the White Mountain National Forest. A beautiful scenic trip of approximately 40 miles (which takes you over the Kancamangus Highway) brings you to Franconia, a peaceful town whose attractions include the "Old Man of The Mountain."
If you are an avid hiker, this is the perfect spot as The Appalachian Trail crosses the area within a half-mile of the cottage! Aside from just soaking up the beautiful views, outdoor amenities include: dock, canoe, and row boat. And if you are an avid angler, Lake Armington is home to many fish species including Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Pickerel, and Horned Pout.
