This apartment was a wonderful place to stay. We had 3 adults and 2 small children with us and it was very comfortable. It is literally steps to a beautiful beach and it was great to be able to retreat to the pool when we had our fill of sand. The location of the complex is perfect very close to the rain forest, about 20 minutes from the bioluminescent bay and an hour or less to San Juan. The owners were great had a small water issue and it was taken care of within 30 minutes of me calling them. We will definitely stay here again when we return to PR in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We rented this not knowing much about Puerto Rico. We couldn't have picked a better location. We loved that we were so close to El Yunque. The kids counted, it was 81 steps to the beach. We stayed here with three kids. Everyone was comfortable. The main bedroom doesn't have any windows but it wasn't really a big deal. We cooked a lot and ate almost every meal outside. It was incredible to be so close to the beach. We were so close to the Rio Mar (Wyndham) that we walked down the beach and rented jet skis. We spent a lot of time exploring the island and this really was the best place for us. We loved El Yunque and El Toro Negro forests but the beach was really a great place to stay because it seemed very difficult to find public beaches. The pictures are really accurate and the owners were good about times to meet to get into the apartment. Everything in the apartment is new and it looks very newly done. There are tvs in almost every room, toaster, microwave, washer and dryer. No dishwasher, iron, hand towels or wash cloths. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.Owner response: Thank you, Julia. We are glad you had a wonderful time and did share your experience with others. We hope to welcome you soon again. The Owners & Vida Urbana Team

The owners are spectacularly nice. Communicate with them as your stay approaches and when you check-in. The apartment on the inside is really nice. All the pictures are true to life. It was VERY clean inside, seems newly renovated. The rainwater shower was sweet. They love TVs - one ~50", one ~40", and two 15". Kitchen is adequately furnished for most cooking needs. Water from fridge filter system was near-Evian quality (I'm a water aficionado). Also, the complex is VERY secure. The guards make rounds all night long. The whole place was peaceful and tranquil beyond our expectations! The beach and complex was literally empty while we were there from Wed. 3/6 - Fri. 3/15. Thanks to the previous guests who left those beach chairs :-) Each day there were at most 2 to 4 other people on the beach and we only saw a few others on the grounds. The Wyndham was about a mile down the beach so we'd walk there for drinks!! I found lots of shells and sand dollars walking in the shallow waters. The grounds are well-maintained - guys were raking seaweed and driftwood off the beach every day. There are lots of beautiful coconut palms and almond trees around. You have a great view up the mountain of the rainforest, and massive panoramas of multiple beach areas. You can see the waves breaking on reefs about a 1/2 mile offshore. You are near so many great places out in Rio Grande. It's more nature-oriented than staying in San Juan, if you want to get away from that city hustle. The rainforest entrance is a couple miles right across the main highway (cute art store in Palmer). Do NOT miss the bio-bay kayaking. Make sure you drive all the way up the hill on Rt 968 - there are a couple restaurants with a great view. Luquillo is good for surfing (great Sunday brunch near the beach). Fajardo has a hilltop street (Rt 987) filled with small, great restaurants. The Luquillo kiosks were so-so, but if you need more fried food, this is the spot. We spent two evenings in San Juan - the "Flavors of San Juan" tour is very informative but not for kids. We also drove to the Arecibo Radio Observatory, which I strongly recommend as a bucket list experience! Trip Advisor is helpful for the area, although sometimes you just gotta take a chance and stop at a roadside stand. I wouldn't personally put more than 3 people in that place with the current furnishings. To me, the sofa bed was not usable - maybe for a 5 year old, but not an adult. 5-6 people would be tight.Owner response: Once again, thank you for selecting Villa Mar Atlántico to spend your vacation time in Puerto Rico. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Manuel & Dasha

Lovely interior and everything worked very well. Perfect for one or two people. Owners were accessible and very helpful. Not a private setting. Neighbors are very close by. Weekend nights are party nights -- doors open, music, lots of small children, dogs barking, etc. Very quiet on the weekday nights -- at least in February. If you are unfamiliar with the area, this can be a bit unnerving but security seems good. It seemed to be a place where island residents might own a unit for the beach and surfing rather than a place where off-island folks come to vacation. Some might prefer this to a stuffy resort.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We stayed at this great apartment for 9 days with our 2 teenage daughters. The beach is actually closer than it looks in the picture. We loved the modern decor with the modern kitchen, showers and best of all the Pandora sound system. It was so great sitting outside with our cerveza listening to the salsa music. The location was excellent. It was close to Luquillo beach and food stalls where we ate many times as well as the El Yunque Rain Forest. Grocery stores and Wallgreens were close by too. It was a nice walk along the beach to the Wyndham Resort. Just don't order coffee there. It was terrible. I would say that the second bedroom did accommodate our daughters but it was a bit cramped and it made the front door inaccessable which was ok as we just used the back door. We really enjoyed the space and the location. To make it perfect it would have been great to have had 4 lounge chairs to take to the beach, We did look to buy some at Walmart but we didn't see any so maybe light folding ones are not easy to come by. We ended up buying 2 extra cheap folding chairs just for sitting and left them there. Also the pool close to the apartment had only 1 lounge chair so that wasn't great. We would definitely stay there again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
