This 2005 custom-built beach home is beautifully decorated with hardwood, carpet & ceramica floors plus a host of amenities. Each bedroom has its own TV w/DVD, 8 person hot tub and a private pool heated in the off season, ELEVATOR, and ocean views from many vantage points.
Ground Level: Handicap friendly queen bedroom and bath adjoin another bedroom with two bunk sets. The recreation room is equipped with a full-size pool table, TV w/DVD, stereo surround sound, microwave, small wet bar, full-size refrigerator, and a half bath.
Mid Level: King Master Bedroom, two Queen master bedrooms, and a master bedroom with two bunk sets. The den includes 32 inch flat screen TV w/DVD, surround sound theater system, XBox 360 and laundry room with full size washer & dryer.
Top Level: King master bedroom with Jacuzzi tub, separate shower in private bath, and access to a covered deck over looking the sand dunes and ocean. The spacious great room features 42 inch LCD TV/VCR/DVD with surround sound theater system, dining areas, a half bath,large breakfast bar and a well-stocked kitchen with 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, warming tray, extra large microwave and cooktop.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Sands
My husband, David, is from Elizabeth City and my family is from Edenton, Plymouth & Roper areas of North Carolina. David worked as a fishing mate at Oregon Inlet many, many years ago and we come to the Outer Banks 3 to 4 times each year to go deep-sea fishing. Like many other Virginians, we have some deep roots in North Carolina and the Outer Banks. David and I also have two children and five grandchildren that keep us plenty busy in Virginia.
The Unique Benefits at this Beach House
Relax, lay back, unwind from the rigors of work and life are the best benefits of a week at the beach house. The size of the beach house allows extended families of all ages to enjoy together time, and, yet have separate areas to hang out with those of like interest...the pool, beach, rec room, hot tub or just enjoy swinging on the porch. I love to get up early in the morning and take my cup of coffee with a good book and read on the top floor desk while listening to the waves break in the ocean. We also love to ride down to Oregon Inlet and watch the fishing boats come in ....better yet, be on one of the boats coming in. Duck and Corolla both have very quaint shoppes to spend leisure time looking for unique memories to take home. Lastly, if you love good seafood, there are plently to reasonable restuarents close by that serve delicious meals.

David and I are big fans of the rock group…Moody Blues. Therefore, we adopted name "Long Distance Voyager" from one of their albums to pay tribute to the Moody Blues whose music has been a part of our lives for many years for our first beach house that we purchased from life long friends Tammy & Joey Long. I am a real estate broker in Virginia & North Carolina and, in 2005, found this lot and decided to build a new beach house closer to the beach with an elevator. We have tried to make it our home away from home and are happy to share memory making moments with others.

Your beach house is just perfect! It was one of the most incredible weeks our family has ever experienced. We hadn't all been together in the three years & our 50th anniversary was a perfect time to bond & celebrate....Your place was big enough & plenty of places to be alone to read but big enough in the great room to be together at dinner...All in all, the week went beyond our expectations. It was a week we all hated to see come to an end. Thank you for making it possible by having such a great house, well equipped & any problems we taken care of promptly...a beautiful beach house that was especially convenient to the ocean.

The Long Distance Voyager was a wonderful place to stay for families of all ages! We had small children (under the age of 2), teenagers, and grandmas who all enjoyed their stay at the house. It was a very short and convenient walk to the beach. We would highly recommend this house because of the value, location, cleanliness, and extra amenities.Never experienced any problems and any emails that I sent were quickly answered!

“The house was more than we expected! It was so close to the beach-literally a minute walk and that's going at a leisurely pace! There were 19 of us for our parents 50th anniversary. We range in age from 70 to almost 3 years! We had plenty of room. The pool with waterfall was just a wonderful place and we really had fun in it too. All the different decks are so nicely furnished and several of us made a point of napping or lounging on a different one every day or evening! the elevator was a real help for the older ones and those of us who overdid it at the beach! The location was very convenient for shopping-groceries, gifts shops and restaurants. None of our family wanted to go home.” Diane Werley
